- An early winter morning in the gardens, then house hunting in New England.
The snow was gently falling, but I have a bit of spring fever already so I decided to go out in the gardens early to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing morning alone . I wanted to start assessing what I needed to do in the gardens to get them ready for spring. I also wanted to share some of the flowers I am enjoying inside, including the paperwhites I planted. After a hot cup of coffee in the kitchen, we headed out to drive by a few classic New England homes as part of our house hunting in New England. Won't you join me as we take a drive and enjoy a bit of the country lifestyle I know and love?

The house you showed us is very nice but your home surpasses it because of your beautiful outside and what you and Ben have done with the inside. Dont forget the view from your kitchen window. Just cannot compare. Gorgeous.

Linda, your home is so beautiful! Every room in your home has that special touch that you have added. The home you just showed doesn’t hold a candle to yours. I live in Massachusetts and it’s a beautiful state, but my husband and I have decided we’re going to move down to Connecticut as we’re getting older we’d like to go toward the ocean.There is a beautiful little town that we’re looking at called old Saybrook. All of New England is beautiful. That farmhouse was amazing.
If it was possible, you could post every day as far as I'm concerned. New England is SO in my blood.

I am sure where ever you lived it would look beautiful. I love the history of the houses too - our very old German house was built in four stages we have researched and found the original building was done in 1641 much earlier than we thought. Love from a very cold and snowy Germany.

This house is HUGE and can't compare to your beautiful home. Thanks for the NE tour. We lived in MA for 60+ years, but now live in FL. With your talent I understand why you love it so much, bur we don't miss the winters at all. I swim everyday in our pool and can't do that up North.

Midwesterner here(soon to be a New Englander)...we are getting hit hard with a snowstorm. Luckily, I love winter and we don't see as much snow as I'd like these days, so I am a happy gal.

That was so fun to go with you for your house tour... I love looking at homes! I must admit though, it would be so hard to give up the house you are in now... the house, your kitchen, your views, your gardens.... you have perfection right where you are!🥰.
We used to drive from Ontario into New York state through Lake Placid and then down through Vermont and New Hampshire to Maine and my favourite place in the world Boothbay Harbor for three weeks every summer. We stayed always at the same B and B. Love all those beautiful roads and scenery. Your video today reminded me how beautiful that part of your country is. Sadly in the last two years we have not been able to go and so I just have my memories!! We are getting older now but still we hope to get back there if and when we can.

Arizona Here Beautiful love White churches with the high tops and covered bridges and the snow is beautiful being a DESERT RAT which is what we call folks born in AZ we some times dream of places like in this video or a lease i do what i call POST CARD BEAUTIFUL

Our dear friends live in New Hampshire! My husband and I drive down to visit them every September ,of course not last year . We certainly did missed our annual trip to New England and certainly our friends. Our fingers are crossed that we can visit this coming September, to miss two years in a row would be terrible.

The home that I grew up in was built before the civil war and we actually had a pow camp on our property for awhile back in the day! history is very interesting! thanks so much for sharing and yes, I wait very impatiently for spring!
As a former Flight Attendant and ‘world traveler’, who did a 180 turn and landed back in the ‘Food Basket of the World’, I truly enjoy seeing other parts of this Grand Country of ours. I have never been to the NE; it’s a definite ‘bucket list’ goal! Thank you for sharing Linda!

The ride was so beautiful like pictures from a calendar. Willow is cute. I see she has a pick collar now. Your present home is so lovely and the garden. It would take a lot for me to leave. I hate a sleepless night. I just loved the ride seeing the snow. In Louisiana we do not get much snow. The weekend videos would be great. The bathroom spa cleaning is just about done. We just had 3 inches of snow here in Paris, but lucky for us, we live in the suburbs, and its so nice to see white light reflecting snow ..also, its a spiritual thing to me, to turn my attentions inward, to re balance myself. As for homes - I am semi - retired , and want smaller, easy to clean home..I am looking into cute Tiny Homes. But love your home tours .

I loved the little town that you drove through. I went to camp on Lake Fairlee in VT, and the church and town reminds me of Post Mills.
My brother lives outside of Keene, NH and once my mother and l wanted to drive over to VT while the children were in school... we had to turn around, because once we crossed the river , as we drove right into a snowstorm headed towards Keene... that New England weather !

I love older/historic homes and the whole New England area. My maternal ancestors were Puritans who lived in the Massachusetts Bay colony in the early 1600’s. Everything NE really resonates with me. Must be in my DNA 😂🤣

Can you believe that we looked at that very house in Deering.? It is truly beautiful. We ended up buying a house in Richmond, NH. It is way out in the boonies, and needs a bit of “fixing up”, but I’m looking forward to many projects and decorating my new home! I might even make a video diary of the whole process! Wish me luck!
