  • this video details the cost of one months food for 2 people in Belize Central America. This is yet another reason why we decided to leave the US for greener pastures. The cost of food in central America is what it once was in America 25 years ago.

    I get that same price at Harvey's, Aldi's and Save-A-Lot in Jacksonville Florida. These places have not raised their price a whole lot since the pandemic. I quit going to Publix and even Walmart prices went up quite a bit.

    We live on the island, San Pedro, and the food is quite a bit more expensive.

      I'm sure it is. It was really expensive and low quality when we lived in Placencia when we moved to Cayo prices, options and quality got better but for somethings we found it's better to get from Spanish Lookout when we go up there

    I moved to Belize in November 2023... and I agree with the food prices... I bought 7.5 acres and I'm slowly putting everything together also... I just finished a house build and I plan to get chickens and start my fruits and veggies garden plans.... So far I'm loving the place... We chose to live in the Corozal area... We got tired of the US and called it quits...

      Beautiful area up there. Sounds like things are coming together for you. We love it also, we never want to return to the states. If your ever around Belmopan let us know and we can show you our little farm here. Thankyou for watching and commenting. Many blessings.

      How much is land going for in the Corozal Area? Looking for 10 acres

    • @WhereToNexxt
      @WhereToNexxt  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@UrCho1ce not really sure about the acreage in Corozal but we have seen 10 acres going for 30 to 40k US depending where it is. I would search the buy and sell FB pages in Belize to start. Try Belmopan buy and sell and start looking it should give you an idea. Thanks for watching and commenting. 😁

      I bought 8 acres for 40k USD... However I know there are a few 20 acres lots going right now for about 90k .... It always depends on the area ...plus some you can find being sold by the owner for less... But there are plenty of great properties out there... It all depends on where you want to be and what you like... The best thing to do is come see the area and see for yourself... I made 4 trips to Belize and stayed in 7 different cities before I'm made my decision... I went north to south, and east and west....

      Hi, we are starting our 3rd year. Belize is a great place to be. It takes a certain kind of person to let go of things and fit in here so if you have made it 6 months you are one of those people..... Yes the rains have begun and our cisterns are full... Thanks for watching and leaving a comment...

    I know exactly what you mean. Belize is my birth home, and i am ready to come home. just purchase land and working on building. I love to see what you are doing. and love it that you made the trip. don't know if i would be brave enough to drive through Mexico though.

    That's right there is a huge saving. The meat alone would be over $150 CAD for me. I didn't think there would be as much packaging for the food, What do you do with package wast and recycling?
