THE H.A.M.B " THE MAN" - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
What a cobbled up Coupe. Cant wait to see more on the Flying Coffin.
Yes, I am currently working on the rear suspension. Just got a lot of stuff in the mail the other day. So, hopefully by Monday I can drop something. My schedule is insanely busy.
Mr. B. Here ! 👀😎👍🍺🍔. I agree , that shows what happens when someone not think things thru . No pre-fit time taken . Nice repair !
THANK YOU SO MUCH. YOU DO EXCELLENT CRAFTSMAN SHIP!!!!
Thank you very much!
I really never thought I would ever say this in my life , But after watching this show and that car // I am glad that I payed attention in Physics class . lol
Those welds look like Helen Keller did them! And I thought my welds were bad. Brave of you to take this one on!
I was a little surprised. Like every 5 minute job that turns into a 16 week repair
I dig your style man, I’m glad I found your channel. Your choice in music is dead on. Every song I heard is on rotation too. 😉👍🏻
Just another old punker, trying to make a living
Good luck getting that thing squared away, makes me wonder what was the individual thinking.
This looks like a fantastic video of how NOT to customize a car. WOW!! Scary stuff there brother.
Well, the name of the show is how to ruin a perfectly good car. Bingo!
I’d be curious to see what the wheelbase measures on each side.
I’ll have to take some measurements when I get back under it. Currently waiting on parts.
two in the pink and one in the stink .. this car’s a shocker.
cheers from Down Under🍻
🤘🏻you know it
I’m very old school, cut out the crap welds and junk suspension and install and weld in new ! If the front clip is out and 1 1/2 inches, not acceptable. Now I realize this is someone else’s car so it’s their decision to spend the money but they did ask you to make sure it’s safe!
A suggestion to folks out there thinking about buying a car like this, take a builder with you , they know what problems are unsafe and gonna cost you to repair.
As for the rear bags , looks like they didn’t line the bolts up to mount them. I’m thinking about replacing the back half of the chassis or a complete replacement chassis, Art Morrison or Scott’s or Roadster Shop.
Not cheap but what you’re and your families life worth?
Agreed
Thx
Nice job ! It's a decent car, the scary is that rear air ride.
Yeah it is. I got some parts in order for that so hopefully I can sort that out.
Glad you two are optimistic. Guess I could use more of that.
Oh Man ! You got some cool ass sh*t rolling through your place ! Too bad most of it is a sloppy rig job. On that 41 Chevy, if that small rad isn't enough to cool that BBC, I knocked 20° out of my Merc's BBC by running 1/2 aluminum line to the rear axle and back and put a nice oil cooler above the rear axle.👊😎👍
Hmm. Like using the heater hose ports. That Seems like a good idea. Anything helps
@@Theoldironworkshop Look at the bright side ... The roof chop looks well executed. Good Luck with that chassis nightmare 😖.
Thanks
The airbags screaming made me laugh
I had to edit out all the cussing.
I agree with others, what is the wheel base side to side? Great progress getting a rad mounted and sheet metal lined up!!
Thanks.
I just bought a 41 studebaker that came in from so cal, now im starting to think i need to check it carefully.
Yes you do.
Back it up to the end of the driveway, piss on it and call the tow truck to return to sender. 😮love your videos.
Hope you anchor your lift soon. 😢
I actually have the wheel kit for the lift so I can move it as needed. Lucy We don’t have earthquakes here.
I like 41 Chevys so much that I have one! Never seen a Corvette rear used in an airbag / hydraulic setup. The rear arms are so short the long travel will give some weird wheel placement. Cant understand why anyone would use one instead of a live axle, 4 link etc. It'll be a much better car for the corrective work being done.
Yeah, the rear set up would be great for coil overs. Not so much for air ride.
Wow There are some Butchers out there for sure This going to be a good Build
Hi there mate you had a lovely job to at least it would be done better this time with you doing it and safe to drive it there are some guys out there should be doing cars mate
It would never pass safety inspection
Who ever did the Bags and rear should be ashamed, They had to know it was a Problem, and just didn't want to put another dime into it.Good luck you will get it fix I,m sure.
Thanks
Gosh dang I wish I had half of your skills 🤙
I wish I had better skills.
What are the new owners goals for this car?Static display or trailer queen might be good but if it is to be driven this video should be a forewarning for the rest of us on the road.
Well, hopefully I can safen some things up a little bit
This car looks good at the first glance: But being under it all the hackery is obvious.
Great wiring and great rear suspension! And the chaos in front. The chopping and missing of any suport for the body parts and lack of any stability is very, very questional to say the least. And there is very very little space to make things work. That is how I expect most hotrods made in the USA by the average Joe to be. So not a project to be finished in a few days.
Standards have definitely improved over the years with the aftermarket. I don’t know when this car was built or by whom but it’s pretty rough.
ROD AND CUSTOM RENISANCE!!!!
Hot rod life is the only life
👍
I call that a nightmare on elm Street 😂
Oh it’s much worse
When you buy someone's car,or hotrod like a total check, and tear down before driving it.
Oh yes. Best to check everything
I'm not an engineer, but I can see that rear suspension set up is really fucked up! That'd never fly here in Australia.
Good to see someone who knows how, is fixing all those "design" problems.
That would be an understatement
time to get a new frame
might have found one. this ones toast
How scary what some will pass off😢
No kidding. I guess the car got sold. So hopefully they fix some of it
WOW! That about all you can say.... Swapping in a 9 inch might be quicker and easier..
Honestly, that probably would be more logical anyway
I don’t a lot about fabrication but aren’t the bags suppose to be straight and not on an angle
Yes. And preferably, not dragging on the ground.
Junkie needs a complete fabrication 😂
I can’t believe how loose that front end is
It was literally held on by the bolts to only the body.
Yikes does make you do wonder who build's these cars and why folks don't get them checked out before they purchase
Well, everyone starts someplace. So I try not to bash other peoples work. However, if you’re going to sell somebody a car, it would be nice to point some things out.
@@Theoldironworkshop exactly
Scary air ride set up, wiring is ......, clip is messed up, good luck with that.
Oh it gets worse
I'll keep watching, it's like a car crash you know its gonna be ugly but still watch it.🙄
Só naves
always look under the car
This car looks like it was just thrown together by someone that didn’t think anything through
If Frankenstein was a car builder.
What in the world. That’s a huge mess. Hope you can make it right.
Well it does have nice carpet
Looks like engine needs pushed back some 😂 may have to throw that Chevy motor out 😂
Yeah, that definitely would’ve been nice if it was pushed back about 3 inches and down about 2 inches.
Your work is beautiful but fixing all this hack work must drive you crazy.
I had to heavily edit this video to get rid of all the cussing.
Did bad chad build the 41 chevy.😅😅😅😅
Ouch
L.O.L I know right must be 😂
How do you do it????????
What? Find the worst cars I can find to work on? seems like they just come to me.
What a jem that was.@@Theoldironworkshop
Those Booger welds....🤨😮
We refer to that as texture welding
Yes sir 😂
Only thing that looks like it was done right is the chop if it isn't full of bondo
😁
Bad weld job!
It looks good in the dark
👍🏻I know it’s not easy, but nice job fixing others work(f**k ups)
Some people just shouldn't be allowed to work on cars... If that car had a radiator, I'll bet that would be a handful to drive down the interstate.. throw in a blowout and it would be a wild ride...lol..
Yeah, I’m interested to see how it drives. Currently waiting on material to finish the the other stuff trying to knock out my rear suspension on my hearse currently.
I hope you haven't bought it...run away..run away
I hate to see cars that are altered like this. For me, the coolest car is the one that is stock.
🤣 Wrong chanel
If the starting point is a car that is already stock, agree. If, on the other hand, you start with a rusted pile of deformed body parts, or a car that has already been a donor car for a restoration? The alternative is the press, or letting the scrap die of rust at the edge of the forest. Better to make something new.
