Ashera is one of the only proper god in the series and not just a dragon pretending to be more than they are lol. Probably the most unique final boss in the series alongside Fomortis who is like the only demon to exist in canon and Nemesis who is what would happen if you gave a random bandit boss super powers.

Hmm, not all FE Final bosses are literally dragons, but in general they all are related to dragons in one way or another. FE1, FE2, FE3, FE6, FE7, FE11, FE12, FE13, FE14 (only one route specifically, Revelation), FE15, and FE16 (if you picked Black Eagles at the start of the game) all have literal dragon final bosses. As for the others, FE4 has the vessel of a dragon deity, FE5 has archbishop of the religion/faith of the same dragon deity, FE8 has a demon king, who, presumably killed Manaketes and then turn their skeletons into Dracozombies (Necrodragons),FE9 has a mad king who rides an actual dragon that is drugged and insane, and is actually would been a sentinent living being otherwise, FE10 has a goddess whose one of her champions is literally the Dragon King, FE14 has a puppet controlled by a dragon (and two in case of Conquest), FE16's Blue Lions / Azure Moon final boss is who could have served the deuteragonist in a different route who is desperate to ensure at all costs to win, even if have to transform into a monster that basically were originated from dragons. While the Golden Deer / Verdant Wind final boss is a slayer of dragons, literally to the point of genociding them and is actually supposed have passed away long ago.

@@guydude439 The Crimson Flower battle feels better than the other dragon battles to me, in large part because of the huge amount of bosses on the map. That's a big part of why Nemesis and Duma are so high on the list too, I just love fighting multiple bosses on the same map. And these bosses aren't just mooks with names either, Catherine, Gilbert, Cyril, Ashe, and Annette are all standing between you and Rhea, and all of them are sympathetic characters that made the battle feel that much more personal and tragic. I also really liked how the intense Rhea was, she really hates you guts, and it's hard to blame her.
Missed Fire Emblem Fates: Heirs of Fate DLC and Warriors. I know Heirs of fate is the same final boss but it has different music with Shigure singing *_"Lost in Thoughts, All Alone (Finale)"_* along with the spirt of Azura for some parts along with the floating heads of the other Anakos floating in the background makes it different.

If you lose in the final battle, Sombron murders all of your companions and probably the rest of humanity, permanently overwrites Vayle's innocent and pure identity with the evil version of her and obtains your Emblem Ring, since by that point you're already a dead emblem piloting your dead body like a Mecha (which he just destroyed in the final battle when you were defeated), and gives you to Evil Vayle meaning that you become their slave and will never be able to escape and, since you can't die, will definitely be tortured for the rest of eternity. It's a pretty dark cutscene and (to my knowledge at least) is the first time we got an indepth bad end cutscene beyond a still frame of a gravestone or some weapons.
