(Awakening) 20 - 19:42 - The Heritors of Arcadia (Echoes) 19 - 21:16 - End of the Road (Fates) 18 - 24:31 - The Apex of the World (Three Houses) 17 - 29:01 - Conquest (Ablaze) (Awakening) 16 - 31:11 - Unfulfilled (Three Houses) 15 - 32:32 - End of All (Below) (Fates) 14 - 36:36 - A Song For Bygone Days (Echoes) 13 - 38:16 - Alight (Storm) (Fates) 12 - 40:57 - Id Sorrow (Awakening) 11 - 42:32 - The Sacrifice and the Saint (Echoes) 10 - 45:33 - Overture (Fates) 9 - 46:45 - Book 3 Boss Theme (Heroes) 8 - 47:49 - Old Battlefield (Awakening) 7 - 51:26 - Edge of Dawn (Three Houses) 6 - 53:09 - Omen (Echoes) 5 - 54:53 - A Dark Fall (Fire) (Fates) 4 - 57:38 - God Shattering Star (Three Houses) 3 - 1:01:43 - Twilight of the Gods (Echoes) 2 - 1:05:43 - Between Heaven And Earth (Three Houses) 1 - 1:09:15 - Id Return & Id Purpose (Awakening) Gotta say - my favourite of the modern FE games soundtrack-wise is probably Echoes. I absolutely love the use of operatic vocals and rich layers of scoring that were brought to the Gaiden Soundtrack such as in #22. It’s an absolute glow-up. I’m also particularly fond of the use of support brass and lower strings in the game’s more epic pieces. Between the tracks there’s a sense of unity created by the use of several motifs, but there is enough variety there so that the material doesn’t get old quickly. I love Fates but I can only spend so long Lost in Thoughts All Alone. And of course who can forget the epic trumpet and piano parts and massive choir in Twilight of Gods? The scale of the choirs reflect the scale of the conflict, led by those solos and united by the same tunes. Tasty. Those Echoes vocals get a follow up in God Shattering Star thankfully. For those who do not sing, the bass part presented there is pretty darn high in the vocal range and the sustained notes in the song require quite a bit of breath support to maintain the intensity without sounding thin or airy. For those who like this track, I recommend Lord of a Dead Empire from Echoes. Haven’t played Three Houses Yet but it Looks Really Good. Awakening’s soundtrack also really shines when it has those exposed, vulnerable-sounding parts such as the strings in #21. For that much emotion I’d bump a lot of those tracks up the list, above some of the more generic battle-music Fates songs (granted they are gorgeous in their own right and also make me feel cool). That said, I’d bump God Shattering Star up for sheer uniqueness with how the instrumentals just drop out and push the solo vocal into the foreground. Pride and Arrogance receives kudos for how it handles the ridiculous female soprano solo. Not as fond of the pop sound of Edge of Dawn but would love to hear more metal as in that Book 3 Boss Theme!
I agree on most of your points tbh! Personally, Echoes has my favorite FE OST as well, but I do like certain songs from the most modern FE games. There is a certain grand scale to the OST of Echoes, and it really shows in its various songs.
If Echoes had more replayability it'd be by far the best game in the series. It does so many things differently from other games and it's an aesthetic MASTERPIECE. My only issue is the lack of unit customization.
agreed if I had a bit more agency within it I could play it forever. While there is still that option with the villager units and items to make them villagers again I would've loved if it was just easier to do
Immediate replayability no, but honestly after a few years, it feels really good to play for music and characters/story alone and it feels fresh again. Post game in archanea is probably the best gameplay in echoes but you have to go through a lot of bad maps first.
A Funeral of Flowers is hands-down the most underrated theme in the series. It may not be as bombastic as Apex of the World or as awe-inspiring as God-Shattering Star, but it's probably the most cinematic piece of music I've ever heard in a video game.
I understand why its so beloved by some yet seen as the underrated final map theme of Three Houses but it wasnt quite a hit with me, then again i havent experienced Silver Snow yet so that might change. It wasnt far from making the list though since i kept the order of Three Houses tracks added on the list in the same order as in my previous "Top 12 Fire Emblem Three Houses Music Tracks" video, i think i ranked it my 8th or 9th favourite from that video and im pretty sure i added 7 tracks from Three Houses for this list. Thanks for commenting ^-^
It also has by far the best (Thunder) version. Nothing but piano is such a change from all the "the original, but more DRUMS" (thunder) versions of every other track
Agreed. It captures the sadness of the final battle of SS perfectly - it's a battle that shouldn't be happening that absolutely no-one wants to be involved in. It's certainly the most fitting of the final battle themes in 3H IMO.
Yeah Funeral of Flowers is incredible good as well in Silver Snow route of FE3H, sad that it didn't feature here in the video. Have played all of the FE game till three houses since FE rekka no ken (blazing swords), generally almost all fe music is incredible
40:56 You want to make this song hit twice as hard? Accept Lucina's Judgement as her Lover. You want to make this song hit ten times as hard? Accept Lucina's Judgement as her Mother.
The picture you used for Unfulfilled made me realize something: In Dimitri’s route, he extends his hand out towards Edelgard with his weapon down, offering her another chance (despite her still being killed in the end). In Edelgard’s route, Dimitri is the one on his knees and her standing, but she offers no hand and her weapon is immediately raised to kill him Anyway- thank you for the study music 🙏💙
I first heard I’d - Purpose from smash 3Ds. Lucina was my secondary main and she made me grow an interest to the fire emblem series. While playing awakening I was wondering where the theme was, but it eventually left my mind. My character had fallen in battle, and Id- Return plays as my allies call for my return. My character was a female, and I accidentally married Chrom not knowing how supports worked lol so my attatchment to Lucina grew. Then Id - Purpose kicks in. Stunned, unable to breathe, tears running down my face. An experience I wish many times to feel for the first time again and again.
Man, someone GETS IT. Between Heaven and Earth is hands-down, my favorite track in Three Houses (to a point I wrote a jazz arrangement of it lol). Awesome list, man.
Top 30 Modern Fire Emblem Music Tracks Number 1: ALL OF 'EM Seriously though, these games have amazing music (my favorite FE OST has to be Conquest, followed by Echoes and Three Houses)
When I first heard Id Purpose, although it wasn't the most high-octane beat or anything like that, it fit in so well. I can definitely see someone finding Id Purpose underwhelming at first glance, but I think it's one of those rare cases where the song brings the most impact when you've gone through everything in the story and have come down to this final grand confrontation. It's one of the most unique and underrated final boss themes I've ever heard, and certainly worthy of top pick. This compilation was fantastic, great work!
Between Heaven and Earth is given some respect! Blue Lions was and is my favorite route to date. Dimitri is definitely the most unique character in the game not to mention powerful in game
So many great games, so many memorable music. And just think, for most of us in Western Countries, it all started out on the GameCube playing Smash Bros Melee and unlocking those two characters Marth and Roy. And the first sound we heard from Fire Emblem was Together We Ride.
I know i might be a bit late on saying this but... Thank you all so much for the awesome support on this video with likes and views, especially if you watched through the whole video. My goal with this video was to make an updated version of my most popular video "Top 10 Modern Fire Emblem Music Tracks" and upgrade it with 20 more tracks added, safe to say that it was a success thanks to you all ^-^
This is beautiful and man the emotions welling up inside from Awakening soundtrack… it’s my favorite FE game of all time and I’m biased towards its soundtrack because I think it is actually the best in the series. But yeah, man so good.
I was on the verge of tears from some of these songs and I don’t even know why. I’ve played quite a bit of heroes, some of fates and part ways through and half of three houses (I’m thinking), but thinking about how I’ve heard these playing smash brothers, or hearing them even just on TH-cam, makes me feel so much nostalgia for a game that I haven’t even played. Awakening and echoes are on my to play list, along with finishing off the other two games. What an incredible franchise and an even greater soundtrack
Awesome to see that your interest in the series is growing, its without a doubt the game series ive ended up adoring more than any other to the point where today i own quite the collection from the series (plan on making a video sharing it soon). I highly recommend Awakening and Echoes as they´re the top 2 for me from what ive played so far from the series, Awakening being first and Echoes second. Hope you have an awesome time going forward with the series and thanks for commenting ^-^
I feel like a lot people have the same feelings about the abruptness of Crimson Flowers. I felt amazing fighting against Rhea and Edelgard fighting against of the old order of the world, and using the power of the crest of flames that caused so much death amongst her kin. BUT MAN they should've really continued on with the story on how she destroyed the agarthans' and how she avenged her brothers and sisters from their cruel experiments. Who knows maybe even Lysithea could've had unique dialogue as fighting against them saying how she's furious about her shortened lifespan and giving her a second crest. I don't know just some things that bug me :/. Hope some of y'all see it in the same light as I do.
This brought me to tears. fire emblem has been a huge party of my childhood/ youth. I have been a fan of the Fire Emblem series since my first playthrough of Awakening. The songs really did bring back all the good memories I had playing through Awakening, Fates, Echoes, Heroes and Three houses. It will forever remain my favourite series 🤍
Honestly my 3 fave tracks in the series come from heroes, those being Nifl’s theme, Summoner Duels R Menu, and the Book 4 boss theme, FEH just keeps going in terms of good music
I'm relatively new to the series. first fire emblem game was three hopes because I was craving a warriors game and the added mechanics seemed cool, then I got obsessed with the writting, the world building, the politics, the characters... Not too long after Nintendo released Fire Emblem on their gameboy advance emulator and I decided I'd give it a shot despite usually not liking turn based rpgs. This was such a good decision, the gameplay immediately stuck with me. There's enough to do and think about in these games and the animations are so charming that the turn based part ends up being a positive. Then on a trip this summer I bought a copy of Awakening and I'm enjoying it just as much if not more, because I'm starting to see how the story and the gameplay come together with the art and the music. This is a series I'm really glad I got into, even if it was quite late.
I could not agree more with all of your text additions to each song. Especially Id Return & Purpose. I'll never forget that music, and it will always give me chills when I listen to it. I can't tell you how many times I've played Awakening just to get all those feels again and again and its never failed to do so. My favorite game by far.
Very happy you enjoyed my thoughts for each track on the list since it was definetly the toughest part of the video surpisingly as i had a hard time writing my thoughts without repeating myself much along with not being the best at describing music, also happy we both share the same overall favourite game. Thanks for commenting ^-^
I do think that it's amazing how varied the soundtracks are. One can recognize every game by their respective soundtracks, each styled in a way that is impossible for my musically below-amateur knowledge to describe. That being said, Awakening is extra special in my heart. It was my awakening to this series.
I like the list. I'd personally bump Don't Speak Her Name into at least the top 5 though. Such a beautiful song. I am also surprised to not see Road Taken from Fates on the list. That song is great too.
I've only found this months later, and I've not given Echoes a chance, but after listening to this music, I feel like I really need to now. Thank you for bringing these songs to my attention!
Happy this made you intrested in trying out Echoes. Its in my opinion one of the best remakes out there along with being my second favourite from the series. Most likely wouldve been my favourite if only the map design wasnt so dull. Thankfully i dont have much else to complain about with the game as the story, characters, music, gameplay and so much more all make up for the simple map design. Hope you have an awesome time with it ^-^
I personally believe that Berkut has the best musical themes of any character in the series, since they're so incredibly nuanced and, imo, perfectly illustrate his character. The harpsichord in his first 2 tracks, 'Prince of Darkness' and 'Pride and Arrogance,' give the tracks a sophisticated and regal feel, the powerful, rhythmic male choir showing his strength, power and authority, and the female opera singer, who's melodies perfectly encapsulate his pride and arrogance, as to me, her vocals have always sounded similar to laughter - a technical, soaring, sophisticated laughter, emanating through the tracks, showing how little he thinks of opponents and the superiority he feels over Alm. His map theme, 'Praise this Despair!,' is much darker, but still contains elements of his previous songs, such as the "operatic laughter" that shows desperately he clings to his desire for power - in a track filled with despair and fear, there is still room for that signature female voice to come in and laugh in your face, as even in his worst moments, Berkut believes he's always been better than Alm. 'The Scions' Dance In Purgatory' is imo, the best song not only in echoes but the entire series aswell (and my personal favourite fe track). The chaotic nature of the track fits so perfectly with Berkut's fragile state of mind at this moment in the game - overcome by anger, shame and jealousy, he has sacrificed himself and his wife to Duma, and now wants nothing more than to kill who he believes is the cause of all his misfortune - Alm. The rapidly changing instruments and soaring vocals perfectly showcase his desperation. And finally, 'In a Silver Garden with You,' with such beautiful chords and a more stripped back approach, showing his love for rinea, her forgiveness, and his content with being figuratively in 'second place' - silver garden, instead of gold. So ye, best character from a music pov.
On my first playthrough of Echoes, i absolutely adored the encounters with him throughout the game as his character was very intimidating and fit as a major enemy, but what made it so much better was the accompanying music. I remember the first encounter took me by surprise with his sudden appearance which made me very excited to meet him in battle since before this point in the story, his only appearance was his time at Zofia Castle before having to retreat due to the lack of troops. Not only that, i fell in love with his theme and especially Pride and Arrogance for how unique and awesome it was to hear as his battle theme. After besting him in battle, it was clear his character would be a rival to Alm throughout the game which i was very excited about, i couldnt wait to fight him again. Then after beating Act 3 and crossing the border into Rigel, i finally got what ive been anticipating. Defiently a big highlight from the game for me, i´ll stop there since ive spent way too much time on this comment and to avoid others being spoiled by his part in Act 5, overall Berkut ranks high with my favourite characters from the series due to how much i enjoyed his appearances as a villain and rival to Alm along with the awesome music themes he had. Thanks for commenting ^-^
man when i clicked on this video i definitely wasnt expecting to watch all of it but you did such a good job with your thoughtful descriptions of each piece and the choices you made were all beautiful, i ended up staying for the whole thing. amazing list and video, fire emblem really does have some amazing music
My personal top would be just 3H and Fates theme XD. Well, adding Id purpose, Twilight of the gods, Don't speak her name, and Conquest (Ablaze). Those two games really have the best tracks in my opinion. Also "A star in the morning sky" (3H credits) is amazing for me, I almost cried when I first heard it. Easily my favourite credit theme. And did you play the DLC ? "The shackled wolves", "Corridor of the tempest" are really good too ! I like the fact you wrote something on each track. And the arts used are amazing. Finally I agree with you, Berkut is a good character. Easily my favourite from Echoes (I wouldn't like Gaiden XD).
Man, I always forget how amazing Awakening's music is. Which is weird, since it's my favorite. Probably because it tends to be a slower style, I tend to overlook it.
Twilight of the Gods is my favorite FE track, it’s just so amazing and encapsulates the feel of the final map, the final battle against evil and putting Duma to rest. I also love when Alm throws the shield to the side and impales it on the Dragon’s head, it’s a real epic moment.
Indeed, i remember being in a PS4 party a couple times while playing through Echoes for the first time. Nearing the end of the game, i was very excited to face off against Duma and finally hear Twilight of the Gods in game (i was familiar with it due to researching the game while going through it and loving it) and man, what a finale. I remember when i reached it, i told my friends i had to get off mic for a bit to experience the awesome finale the best way. Even though Id Purpose is my overall favourite final map theme from the series, Twilight of the Gods is close behind. Thanks for commenting ^-^
Oh my what, YAY! So happy to see Omen on there. It absolutely fits Echoes completely and a lot of times, when I'm writing I'll just put that track on and close my eyes and listen~ I might be a little prejudiced because I love Echoes and it was my entry to the series (practically my first jrpg ever) and I still love it. Anyway, yay again! Thanks for this compilation.
I love Heritors of Arcadia. A fun fact about the song, it's sung by the VA of Silque, Bonnie Gordon. Somewhat appropriate given Silque's character I think
For me this video was an incredible experience. The soundtracks were great but your analyses were the star of the show for me. Your love for these games... you explained the heart so eloquently and you honestly made so many of my favorite songs even better, Justice RIP in particular. It's an infectious energy and I had the most cathartic hour just reading your paragraphs, indulging in the music from a fresh new perspective, and feeling excitement every time the next song started. P.S. When the heavy metal came, I thought it was a cutscene at first. I am amazed at the direction they took and Warriors now seems like... a game I might actually look into a bit more. Just know that you rekindled a flame in somebody. Even got some ideas for a story I'll never finish hahaha. Thank you so much for bringing this music together and ESPECIALLY for giving your perspective. I had an amazing time!!!
Im very happy with how this video turned out along with its growth and awesome feedback, im amazed by the number of comments like yours i get praising the video and especially me sharing my thoughts for each track on the list since that was the most time consuming and surprisingly toughest part for me with this video, most likely as im not the best at describing music and i have a hard time explaining my views without repeating myself, knowing people enjoy seeing what i have to say and think i did a great job is awesome, thank you for sharing your thoughts on the video, stay awesome ^-^
I'd argue over Apex's placement just because depending on the route and who you have recruited when you first hear it (BE with everyone recruited it does feel a bit more emotional for me) but I do understand and respect the placement considering some of the other choices for Three houses and this is coming from someone who's beaten all 4 routes alongside the DLC. (It's actually used as the theme Tetris 99 uses if you make it to the final 10 in that game using the Fire emblem theme so it is a good piece.) 100% Agree Id as number 1 is a solid choice, I mean it's an actually the default stage music for 1 of the FE stages in Smash ultimate so that's saying something.
My personal most underrated modern fire emblem song is the lost lore theme from heroes. It’s a banger of a track and disproportionately more awesome than the actual game mode. If we’re just talking mainline though, end of the road from fates is pretty up there. You put it at rank 19, i’d probably put it far higher. Really big shoutout to “shh… easy now, girl. I’m not going to hurt you.“ from awakening, a really dumb title but a really good song. A support theme that combines light-heartedness with a hint of sadness, giving off a particularly unqiue feeling. Also, the beach dlc title music from awakening is a bop.
I was sceptical of god shattering star at first until it ended up being my fav battle in all of three houses, having Claude fight against his ancestor felt so powerful
I wasnt a fan at first either untill it grew on me more and more to the point where it ended up as number 4 in the video, and i havent even heard it in game yet XD
Bruh, im pretty sure that FE is probably one of the Nintendo games that has best soundtracks, i have only played Three Houses and never really bother to check the 3ds ones, after hearing this amazing compilation, it would be a sin to not play them P.D.: Nice work with the little notes between soundtracks there were nice to read and not annoying
Thanks for sharing your nice thoughts about the video, obviously these games are at the top for me when it comes to my favourites from all of Nintendo due to my love for the amazing lineup of awesome opening themes, beautiful story event tracks, fantastic memorable map themes and of course the climactic absolute gems at the end of the games definetly being the standouts. As for trying out the 3DS games, the reason i got into the series to begin with was due to Awakening’s extremely positive status making me intrested in trying it out and man, it truly deserves all the feedback it gets for being such an amazing game, id say if you own a 3DS then there’s no game for the system i would recommend trying out more than Awakening, there’s a free demo of it available which is how i first played it before getting the full release, Fates and Echoes are definetly next in line if you end up loving Awakening like i did as Fates improves the gameplay even more but sadly has quite a messy narrative and Echoes being a remake of the second game feels very different with the only real drawback i feel being most of the map design as its a really close second favourite behind Awakening for me, i feel ive added a bit much to this reply so… thanks for commenting and stay awesome ^-^
Yeah, basically the only thing the entire fandom can agree on ist that the music of FE games has been top tier since the very first game. I'd highly recommend checking most of it out.
Fun fact about the book three opening but it's funny to see we had the entire story laid out to us in this song but never knew it. Listen to the song lyrics and remeber what lif and thrasir were doing.
I used to see the overall writing as the weakest part of the video, though the positive reception its had says otherwise. Glad my views on the tracks share how and why im so fond of the lineup ^w^
I feel like the apex of the world is very underrated, I love the song so much because it adds so much more emotion to the final battle of crimson flower, it has motifs from the edge of dawn (which is also very) which is great because the edge of dawn (the lady of Hresvelg) is all about Edelgard struggles and her wanting a peaceful and normal life, and her reminiscing about her longing for those wonderful times at the academy, the apex of the world also has motifs of Fódland winds which a song highly associated with white clouds, once more a reminder of a past Edelgard long, but the song contrasts this with its hopeful and determined music. I understand that God Shattering star a genuinely good but it doesn't have the same emotion that The apex of the world has because it's not a song linked to Claude or Byleth, that's why I love the apex of the world so much, it's personal to Edelgard and that adds so much more emotions in her routs final battle, I know her route isn't good or, that it's rushed, but the battle of Firddyad (in my opinion) makes this route worth it and part of that is the music. Azure Moon should have had it's own final theme but I also understand that the battle also has partly to do with Edelgard so I don't mind it that much. I just think that Apex of the World deserves much more love and recognition than most give it, I think (personally) this is by far the bast song in fe3h and dare I say the best in fire emblem (obiviesly this is my opinion) of course I apologies if I have offended anyone, these are just the opinions a dumb 15 year old in the internet, stay safe and have a nice day! also no I just don't like the song because I like Edelgard, I genuenly love this song, it actually has made cry a few time which I admit kinda stupid, anywho thanks for reading :)
I do feel like i shouldve placed The Apex of the World higher on the list at times. I do have a reason for it being where it is since i wanted to keep the ranking of the Three Houses selection the same as with my previous video about my favorites from Three Houses alone, which is why Unfulfilled is close to The Apex of the World in the ranking as i originally wanted to place it above Unfulfilled yet decided against it to match the Three Houses video. If i made the video today im unsure if id switch spots with those two as they´re both awesome in thier own ways. Also dont ever feel bad about a song leading you to cry, that just means the song in question managed to affect you in a special way. To me, most of my favorites are the type that wake up emotions within me such as sadness, excitement and more. Thanks for sharing your thoughts ^-^
Happy you enjoyed the video along with my added thoughts on each spot, thinking of what to add for all the tracks while trying not to repeat myself was definetly the part of the video that took the most out of me, knowing people like you praise that about this video makes me more happy with this video than i already am ^-^
I think A Grasping Truth deserves at least an honorable mention here. It encapsulates so much of the Tellius series, its loud, the beats of war and more war escalating beyond control chaos abound, with moments that swap to a more calming tone as if trying to resist the march of war and chaos. But the fight for peace is still a fight and thats when everything goes wrong. It's even mirrors the story of the two gods as well.
As someone who has never played a modern Fire Emblem game and is playing their first, Binding Blade, I am very excited for what this franchise has in store.
Ive spent so much time with the Modern Games, especially way too much with the 3DS Games. Im not kidding when i say ive likely went through Awakening 6-8 times, the three Fates Paths around 3-5 and together 3-4 times and Echoes i believe 3-4 times aswell. I hope you have a blast when you get to them ^w^
Song for Begone Days just in 14?!!?!? MADNESS!!! It may not be the strongest or most powerful song, but it’s undoubtedly the most beautiful of them all
This is hands-down one of the best Fire Emblem compilation videos I've seen in the past 5 or 6 years!! I can see the love you have for this series, and I too have the same sentiment. I completely agree with your choices as well! Excellent job on this video, I absolutely love it!!!
Im honored to see this video sit among the top of Music searches for the series, and your comment adds to it even more. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the video and being so fond of it, keep on being awesome ^-^
The Sacrifice and the Saint? The Echoes opening theme?? OLD BATTLEFIELD IN YOUR TOP 10??? Your taste is nothing short of immaculate! (No pun intended). But seriously, this was an amazing list. I went on a trip down memory lane, remembering why I love this games and their soundtracks so very much, and hearing your opinions on each and every track made resonate with them even more. Thank you for putting this list together!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the video, i feel its my best video ive made to date and all the positive feedback i get through comments like this is truly awesome ^w^
Bit of a shame only the 'modern' tracks were listed as the older games have some incredible soundtracks. such as "ATTACK!" from FE7 and "Eternal bond" from FE10. Edit: ID purpose is still the best track to date though, followed very closely by Between heaven and earth. You got that so right.
I plan on making a simular video with my favourite tracks from the older games from the series when ive played through those games. Obviously it´ll take a bit of time to get through the games as the only one ive almost beaten at the moment is The Blazing Blade on GBA where i stopped somewhere around Chapter 20-23 i think, so sadly that video is going to take quite a while to make as i want to experience the games and its music instead of looking up all tracks to find favourites. Thanks for commenting ^-^
After listen to all of this.. You might have convinced me to give a try to echoes. I've heard a lot of good things about it Very nice too, your little comments when every song started. And, by far, the book 3 of FEH is a masterpiece to me, from the story, to the musics and, most of all, the characters, everything in it is insane to me ! :D
1:05:43 How the cutscene flows into the song is PHENOMENAL. Could you just take that song and upload it separately? If you can't, that's what the timestamp is for!
This is my personal top 10 list: 10- Resolve: Light (Fates) 9- Chasing Daybreak: Thunder (Three Houses) 8- Shine in the Light (Fates) 7- Map 2 theme (Heroes) 6- No Justice: Calm (Fates) 5- Courage in Numbers (Echoes) 4- Path of the Hero-King (Echoes, sort of) 3- Tearing through Heaven: Rain (Three Houses) 2- Chaos: Calm (Awakening) 1- Pray to the Dark (Fates)
Sad to say that i didnt go through the Shackled Wolves DLC till the lead up towards Three Hopes. If id add a track from its selection, the track in question would be among the top. That’s all i’ll reveal as i plan to make a video in the future where it’ll have its time to shine ^w^
Around the halfway point, I was wondering why I was hearing footsteps. Then I realized that THAT cutscene with THAT song was playing. My tear ducts and I weren't ready for that on a Wednesday afternoon. 😆😭
Understandable since it is indeed a very memorable moment made complete with the beautiful Unfulfilled accompanying it. In a way, i see it as the true introduction to Part 2 for reuniting with a different yet familiar face in this new age. Thanks for commenting ^-^
to me ID Purpose was the truest Victory snatched from the jaws of Defeat song since Fire Emblem had been doing so poorly until this game. It really feels like the composers were writing like it was their last time (since it likely might have been) since they had no future FEs greenlit. always a joy to listen to. (:
1:06:00 he said the thing lol but fr i was really in love with Id Purpose since I was pretty young and played Awakening, my 1st FE game :) It has a strong tie with Lost in Thoughts All Alone, or the game credits specifically, but I almost forget how epic End of All Below is :) 3Houses is my most recent game and I still have yet to complete it, but so far Fódlan Winds is my most FAVORITE soundtrack (for that game at least), but again, you reminded me how epic Between Heaven and Earth is :) Hearing the great soundtracks of Echoes makes me consider to try out that game, but I prefer to get into 3 Hopes after 3 Houses :) random side-note: seeing cutscenes from Echoes makes me feel like its the *most* anime-style we have for a Fire Emblem game & it actually looks nicer than 3 Houses, and I adore the style of that game a lot haha. Wonder if we can get a fresh, well-made Fire Emblem tv series and/or movie since I heard its original anime series isn't great.
Echoes will always have my favorite soundtrack its always a joy to play and l always manage to just listen to the music than actually playing... Awakening us also a banger to listen to especially the entirety of the ID tracks :)
Fire Emblem Echos opening was epic as fire. I loved that opening and can only imagine how it must have sounded on the Famicom back in the day since Echos was a remake of the 2nd Fire Emblem game.
Yeah, they've made fewer Together We Rides since Awakening. I think this is partially due to Awakening's success, because that OST was working really hard to freshen up the series for a newer audience and so skipped a lot of the series staples that up to that point had been in pretty much every game. I'm always torn when I think about that, because I love Together We Ride, but Awakening's OST is amazing too (every game that I've played since as well; I REALLY like Fates', Echoes', and Three Houses' OSTs.)
I personally prefer the original versions of Alight and A Dark Fall myself, but the remix versions are still good. I'm honestly kind of disappointed that A Long Road isn't on the list at all. That song is easily my favorite from 3H.
I also have to note on how much I love Edge of Dawn. I absolutely love how you can lsiten to it and it tells you about the game, Fodlan history and what's to come. It is just so incredible with it's telling. Every lyric seems to have a deeper meaning as you listen to it.
You´re welcome to share your own list of favorites here, id be happy to take a look as i always enjoy seeing others opinions with this topic. Thanks for commenting ^-^
Thanks for compiling these. I love FE attacks because they capture the ideas of fighting for people, a better future, and even a better self in music. An inspiration for listeners to be heroes on the everyday battlefields of life.
I had to include both as the buildup with your comrades calling out to you while Id Return plays is simply masterful and it adds so much to the amazing Id Purpose and finale overall. Thanks for commenting ^-^
Im going to be honest, i kept it off the list mostly due to it being copyrighted. Even if it wasnt, it probably wouldnt have made it in anyways as i feel the two Fates final map themes in the video are better to me. Thanks for the kind words and for commenting ^-^
In one Fire Emblem CD called Fire Emblem Arranged, I clearly remember that Id Return and Id Purpose had a moment in the song where the vocals went all deep and they sang a version of the Fire Emblem theme. That always gives me chills down my spine for example at 1:13:00
Nah, its just to let people checking this video out nowadays know that it doesnt cover after Engage due to time travel not being real. Id be happy to cover my lineup of favorites from Engage for its own video in the future tho ^-^
Writing my thoughts through text is always the hardest part to me making videos like this, so im happy that you and others that have commented have said they think i did a good job with it ^w^

Gotta say - my favourite of the modern FE games soundtrack-wise is probably Echoes.
Number 17 should be 29:01 but good job with the timestamps.
I agree on most of your points tbh! Personally, Echoes has my favorite FE OST as well, but I do like certain songs from the most modern FE games. There is a certain grand scale to the OST of Echoes, and it really shows in its various songs.
@@Kukakkau Timestamp adjusted. Thanks!
thank you for the ts!
Can I just say thank you for the awakening credits name I've always wanted to know what it was called but never could correctly search for it

If Echoes had more replayability it'd be by far the best game in the series. It does so many things differently from other games and it's an aesthetic MASTERPIECE. My only issue is the lack of unit customization.
The best art of fire emblem
agreed if I had a bit more agency within it I could play it forever. While there is still that option with the villager units and items to make them villagers again I would've loved if it was just easier to do
Echoes may not have a lot of replayability but I’ve played it five times now. Wish the maps were better but this game has the vibes
Immediate replayability no, but honestly after a few years, it feels really good to play for music and characters/story alone and it feels fresh again. Post game in archanea is probably the best gameplay in echoes but you have to go through a lot of bad maps first.
I’ve played through it 4 times. The achievements system aided that.
The thunder variant is the only one I can tolerate, the rain variant just sound bad.
I'm not into FE but I'll support a friend who deserves the recognition.
Thanks dude, it means alot ^-^
Maybe even S support?

You want to make this song hit twice as hard? Accept Lucina's Judgement as her Lover.
You want to make this song hit ten times as hard? Accept Lucina's Judgement as her Mother.
Lord of a Dead Empire from Echoes is criminally under appreciated in this fandom. It's such an insane track, probably my favorite from the series
The picture you used for Unfulfilled made me realize something: In Dimitri’s route, he extends his hand out towards Edelgard with his weapon down, offering her another chance (despite her still being killed in the end). In Edelgard’s route, Dimitri is the one on his knees and her standing, but she offers no hand and her weapon is immediately raised to kill him
Anyway- thank you for the study music 🙏💙
Although I love Claude's sass, things like this is why Dmitri is still my favorite 3H lord.
Thanks for your kind words, happy you enjoyed the video ^-^
Top 30 Modern Fire Emblem Music Tracks
Number 1: ALL OF 'EM
Seriously though, these games have amazing music (my favorite FE OST has to be Conquest, followed by Echoes and Three Houses)
I agree, there’s no other series of games that can top the 3DS-Switch era Fire Emblem games to me with gaming music : 3
Fire emblem has some of the best ost’s in Nintendo history, and this only includes the modern music.
And your top 5 is perfect!
Id Purpose is THE Fire Emblem song.
Happy to see Echoes of Valentia getting some love. The soundtrack for that game is great! Fits the mood so well.
I agree. Thanks for commenting ^-^
14:57 Road to Nifl is easily one of my favorite FE songs. It's part of the reason I still hold Book 2 above the rest in Heroes.
Happy you enjoyed the video and thanks for commenting ^-^
@@reploiddasher2000 Thank you, and thank you again for uploading this, legend
Happy you had a great time with this video about sharing my favourite tracks from the recent games of this awesome series. Thanks for commenting ^-^
Honestly my 3 fave tracks in the series come from heroes, those being Nifl’s theme, Summoner Duels R Menu, and the Book 4 boss theme, FEH just keeps going in terms of good music
I always liked Justice RIP, but that has much to do with my entry to Fire Emblem being Fates. Great video and I love the art you provided!
Don’t Speak Her Name from Awakening should definitely be high up on this list
Number 1
No matter your opinion on Fates as a game, it's undeniable that it has some absolute bangers in its soundtrack.
Indeed ^-^
THANK YOU! Don't Speak Her Name! was too low same with Chasing Daybreak. Questioning how Roar of Dominion wasn't here either.
Hope you have an awesome time with it ^-^
Echoes music goes hard. All Berkut songs are fantastic
@@reploiddasher2000 No problem, I take any opportunity to gush about Berkut and his music
man when i clicked on this video i definitely wasnt expecting to watch all of it but you did such a good job with your thoughtful descriptions of each piece and the choices you made were all beautiful, i ended up staying for the whole thing. amazing list and video, fire emblem really does have some amazing music
God Shattering Star will always be my favorite song in the series
awaking is that revive for the whole series, never forget this guys
Oh my what, YAY! So happy to see Omen on there. It absolutely fits Echoes completely and a lot of times, when I'm writing I'll just put that track on and close my eyes and listen~ I might be a little prejudiced because I love Echoes and it was my entry to the series (practically my first jrpg ever) and I still love it. Anyway, yay again! Thanks for this compilation.
I love Heritors of Arcadia. A fun fact about the song, it's sung by the VA of Silque, Bonnie Gordon. Somewhat appropriate given Silque's character I think
Wow i had no idea, that is indeed quite fitting. Thanks for sharing ^-^
Special shout outs to What Lies at the End from Echoes and the Lost Lore theme from Heroes, two absolute bangers that didn't make the cut sadly.
Gear up for from heroes shoudl be here
What lies at the end is my sh*t
I'd argue over Apex's placement just because depending on the route and who you have recruited when you first hear it (BE with everyone recruited it does feel a bit more emotional for me) but I do understand and respect the placement considering some of the other choices for Three houses and this is coming from someone who's beaten all 4 routes alongside the DLC. (It's actually used as the theme Tetris 99 uses if you make it to the final 10 in that game using the Fire emblem theme so it is a good piece.)
100% Agree Id as number 1 is a solid choice, I mean it's an actually the default stage music for 1 of the FE stages in Smash ultimate so that's saying something.
Also, the beach dlc title music from awakening is a bop.
this is the Id Purpose recognition we all deserve
I was sceptical of god shattering star at first until it ended up being my fav battle in all of three houses, having Claude fight against his ancestor felt so powerful
I wasnt a fan at first either untill it grew on me more and more to the point where it ended up as number 4 in the video, and i havent even heard it in game yet XD
Bruh, im pretty sure that FE is probably one of the Nintendo games that has best soundtracks, i have only played Three Houses and never really bother to check the 3ds ones, after hearing this amazing compilation, it would be a sin to not play them
P.D.: Nice work with the little notes between soundtracks there were nice to read and not annoying
As a FE fan, This franchise provides really amazing and incredible tracks! Thanks you for gathering and share your most beautiful one!!
Indeed and thank you for sharing your positive views on the video ^-^
Fun fact about the book three opening but it's funny to see we had the entire story laid out to us in this song but never knew it. Listen to the song lyrics and remeber what lif and thrasir were doing.
I dont play fire emblem but my god their music makes me wanna dive in so bad!
Please try it out! It's an amazing series!
Try it's amazing trust me u would not regret it
I loved the explanations and the reasons why those songs had an impact in the story, it was an amazing top.
@@reploiddasher2000 thanks dude you made my day :)
Great list, I can't disagree with a single track on here. They're all well deserved! Awesome that you wrote something about each track too
Happy you enjoyed the video along with my added thoughts on each spot, thinking of what to add for all the tracks while trying not to repeat myself was definetly the part of the video that took the most out of me, knowing people like you praise that about this video makes me more happy with this video than i already am ^-^
Only one missing right up there for me is Thorn in you. This fkn killed me when first deciding which side to choose in fates
Ahh. Hearing Chasing Daybreak. Reunion at Dawn is one of my favorite maps of the entire series.
I completely agree with you, the Blood of the Eagle and Lion was really the best part of Three Houses.
If you listen to the drop in Alight (storm) and somehow feel nothing, check your pulse fr
MADNESS!!!
It may not be the strongest or most powerful song, but it’s undoubtedly the most beautiful of them all
Honestly this is a great mix of songs I've been needing a new FE playlist to have on while I study and this variety is nice
ID purpose as number one is prime. Best soundtrack from all the FE games
I've heard a lot of good things about it
Very nice too, your little comments when every song started.
And, by far, the book 3 of FEH is a masterpiece to me, from the story, to the musics and, most of all, the characters, everything in it is insane to me ! :D

How the cutscene flows into the song is PHENOMENAL. Could you just take that song and upload it separately? If you can't, that's what the timestamp is for!
This is my personal top 10 list:
10- Resolve: Light (Fates)
9- Chasing Daybreak: Thunder (Three Houses)
8- Shine in the Light (Fates)
7- Map 2 theme (Heroes)
6- No Justice: Calm (Fates)
5- Courage in Numbers (Echoes)
4- Path of the Hero-King (Echoes, sort of)
3- Tearing through Heaven: Rain (Three Houses)
2- Chaos: Calm (Awakening)
1- Pray to the Dark (Fates)
Always awesome to see others sharing thier favourites. Thanks for commenting ^-^
No shackled wolves is criminal! lol great list overall.
I learned alot about some parts of the fire emblem storylines thanks to your short descriptions
1:06:00 he said the thing lol
but fr i was really in love with Id Purpose since I was pretty young and played Awakening, my 1st FE game :)
It has a strong tie with Lost in Thoughts All Alone, or the game credits specifically, but I almost forget how epic End of All Below is :)
3Houses is my most recent game and I still have yet to complete it, but so far Fódlan Winds is my most FAVORITE soundtrack (for that game at least), but again, you reminded me how epic Between Heaven and Earth is :)
Hearing the great soundtracks of Echoes makes me consider to try out that game, but I prefer to get into 3 Hopes after 3 Houses :)
random side-note: seeing cutscenes from Echoes makes me feel like its the *most* anime-style we have for a Fire Emblem game & it actually looks nicer than 3 Houses, and I adore the style of that game a lot haha.
Chasing Daybreak is extremely good, i didn't play 3H but i kinda want to now...
I’m so happy you put indomitable will in here
I personally prefer the original versions of Alight and A Dark Fall myself, but the remix versions are still good. I'm honestly kind of disappointed that A Long Road isn't on the list at all. That song is easily my favorite from 3H.
TWILIGHT OF THE GODS ABOVE GOD SHATTERING STAR YES I AGREE
Happy we agree on that even with them being so close to eachother ^-^
I also have to note on how much I love Edge of Dawn. I absolutely love how you can lsiten to it and it tells you about the game, Fodlan history and what's to come. It is just so incredible with it's telling. Every lyric seems to have a deeper meaning as you listen to it.
Can't argue with this list. The top 2 songs are the same top 2 songs I'd have. Great playlist. :)
Picks 2-4 are some of my favs in the series, loved the list. My fav is Heritors of Arcadia and my Top 10 list would have some Cindered Shadows music.
You´re welcome to share your own list of favorites here, id be happy to take a look as i always enjoy seeing others opinions with this topic. Thanks for commenting ^-^
really good picks, I love to lisent to this video while I study
Happy you enjoyed it and hope your revisit will be pleasant for studying ^-^
Thanks you so much for this, I listen to it while doing chores and school and it’s a really great playlist you made! Great job!
I really want an Awakening port to Switch so I can play it
Absolute fantastic playlist thank you
Every time I hear chasing daybreak my heart drops with dread
Thanks for compiling these. I love FE attacks because they capture the ideas of fighting for people, a better future, and even a better self in music. An inspiration for listeners to be heroes on the everyday battlefields of life.
Tracks* not attacks*
Omg thanks for including Id Return that makes Purpose sooooooo much more epic
I had to include both as the buildup with your comrades calling out to you while Id Return plays is simply masterful and it adds so much to the amazing Id Purpose and finale overall. Thanks for commenting ^-^
Kinda surprised there"s not Lost in Thoughts All Alone, but thank you for this great compilation Dasher !
Here, take a thumb up.
Im going to be honest, i kept it off the list mostly due to it being copyrighted. Even if it wasnt, it probably wouldnt have made it in anyways as i feel the two Fates final map themes in the video are better to me. Thanks for the kind words and for commenting ^-^
Good list. But man, not having Lord of a Dead Empire here is criminal
Pride and Arrogance is a great inclusion, underrated track. Nice video
Twilight of the Gods and Id purpose are just way too good to be true
In one Fire Emblem CD called Fire Emblem Arranged, I clearly remember that Id Return and Id Purpose had a moment in the song where the vocals went all deep and they sang a version of the Fire Emblem theme.
That always gives me chills down my spine for example at 1:13:00
there have been a few ups and downs throughout the series but the music has always been FIRE
I love how you added pre engage lol. Those remixes go way too damn hard.
Nah, its just to let people checking this video out nowadays know that it doesnt cover after Engage due to time travel not being real. Id be happy to cover my lineup of favorites from Engage for its own video in the future tho ^-^
You even wrote something about every track, that's nuts
Writing my thoughts through text is always the hardest part to me making videos like this, so im happy that you and others that have commented have said they think i did a good job with it ^w^
