    A lot of you guys have been saying that the photo I used is NOT a photo, but a rendering instead. At first I was 100% it was a photo, but the more you guys commented saying it was a render, the lower that percentage got 🤣
    So I reached out to Punch Architects and, after a few days, they confirmed that it is indeed......
    ...a photo :) I'm glad you guys were interested enough to have the discussion though, thank you! 🐦

      A little concerning...I've been using Sketchup for 3 months and vray for a month and even I could see it was a rendered image.

    • @Moochers

      @@glenhong8028 it's not. It's a photograph.

    plot twist: the original image was rendered in in twinmotion.

    • @Moochers
      @Moochers  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      🤣 you know, after sometime, I was like, what if this is not an image. What if it's a rendering...the more I looked at it the more "perfect" it looked haha. It is possible to make renderings of that quality. I highly doubt it's a rendering though. But I would crack up if it turns out to be.

    • @masuttta
      @masuttta 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Mooch , ha!, my thought of the original being rendered came from that tree in the front, it has bit of that standard rendered quality to it and then add to that this perfectness of scene.
      Renderings indeed have gone to that level that they are just indistinguishable from reality.
      So, I wont mind if it was a rendered image, thus...

    • @Moochers
      @Moochers  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@masuttta I actually think it's that tree that started my doubt ! Anyway, thanks for the comments. Gave me a good laugh.

    appreciate your work. though twinmotion would need something like the filmic blender addon for blender. i think twinmotion (like plenty of renderers) has a low dynamic range.
    also the ground could use serious normal maps to hide the fact that it's not very detailed

  • @Moochers

    Should Twinmotion make a character version of me and add it to their program?

    • @Potatoverynice

      hey mooch, I've noticed you've transferred from enscape to twinmotion, any reason for this change? Just a tiny citique, I think the shadows should be corrected at the very start so that e.g the bushes are correctly lit as you said around 8 minutes in, it would help i could imagine as you would be able to find textures/objects that match better suited to the right setting, but good work either way, it's pretty close!

      If you're in the US, you have to go to the NCARB website and see what the requirements for your state are. If they require an NAAB accredited degree, head over to NAAB's website and filter schools by states and try to find the one that you want to attend. Then see which of their degrees is accredited. Hope that helps !

    Also don't know if you already did this but check 'global illumination' in turned on (helps with indirect lighting) also use 'refection probes' they help create more realistic reflections.

    twin motion is a good rendering engine but if u want something realistic looking, u have to use another engine,like V ray, corona render'er ,lumion is better than twin motion but its the same, in order to get a realistic looking render you have to put lots and lots of effort into it and then using post production to enhance it, i have seen some good renderings with lumion but its not as good as V ray for example and if the V ray render is without Post production enhancements still look so much better than enhanced or i shall say altared renders from these two RT engines, but still love your channel keep doing what you're doing and good luck!

    Great replication! Pretty close but the image looked a bit in a darker mood compared to the original. I would suggest leaving the weather clear and play with the lighting settings like the exposure and ambient light. Oh, also I believe that you can change the color of the plants by using the eyedropper tool. Twinmotion has great potential in photorealism if you know what settings work hehe. Check out my channel where I use Twinmotion for photorealism practice.

    why are you using twinmotion? Isn't doesn't output realistic renders and requires a lot of post-processing in photoshop. To be fair not all renderings should be hyper realistic, but twinmotion outputs everything with poor shadowing and subpar textures. The worst part IMO is the vegetation.
