New animation is great, love how they sized each other up and the animation shows off Luffys battle IQ really well.
Even tho I’m not a fan of Lucci, I do admire how both him and luffy didn’t want to lose their respective fights by falling. They both only believed in completing the mission. (this current fight and Lucci vs Zoro)

1. atlas who is strong enough to cause damage on base luffy whos durability is one of the best in the world
2. acoa user sentomaru trained under kizaru who said he taught him everything he knew, sentomaru reacted and momentarily BLOCKED a serious attack from kizaru and dodged multiple laser beams before going down yet lucci straight up speedblitzed sentomaru AT ONCE and sentomaru even said he anticipated lucci coming at him he just couldnt react in time!!! lucci's speed stocks are UUUUP
3. mythical zoan user cp0 agent stussy a clone from the real stussy who was a former FREAKING ROCKS CREW MEMBER

The Water 7 arc (minus Long Ring Long Island) is easily one the best if the best Saga in all of One Piece it's literally like the very peak of Oda's talent as a writer.
It's where the Strawhats graduate from "playing pirates" to actual team. Until then, they were more like a merry-go-round relying on luck half the time but in Water 7 arc, that's no longer cutting it. The group faces interior strife like never before and significant external threats too - they barely survived an encounter with Aokiji, learned a bit about Robin's dark past, lost their ship and Usopp rebelled and quit over that. Then they get robbed and Robin is also lost to the Marines. In the story so far, this is the point they came closest to total annihilation and everyone must put their A-game on the field.
In short, in this arc they grow as persons and as a team, not just getting stronger.
