It wasnt that great anyway. Intonation was just not there. It was rushed, mechanical, etc. Just because she plays the violin, it doesnt mean everyone had to stop and listen to a bad performance.
ray Figueroa How can you appreciate a play when she can't even play the piece as it was intended? Tempo is wrong, and she skips the art. harmonic part completely. I feel sorry for Monti. If I was walking by, I would be pissed off.
+Bethany McClenahan (Beth) I wonder why you are trying to justify her for hitting a wrong note and skipping a part that I consider crucial part of this piece. When you post, you should also expect the brutally honest criticism. Don't take away her chance to get better by sugar coating it.
"How can we appreciate the play?" you sound like an angry music teacher that never made it. The ladies out in the streets trying to entertain people walking by. You can't appreciate her for the thought alone?! God forbid she's not a perfect violinist and misses notes every once in a while
I dont know maybe this is an everyday thing where you live but where i am i dont think ive ever even seen anyone busking. However if I do I doubt critiquing them would be the first thing on my mind.
Yes, I agree. Some people have a sad expression on the face or cheerful expression. May not be the actual position. Thanks for your response and input.
Subramanya Rao That isn't sadness, dumbass. It's focus, you need an insane amount of brainpower and multitasking abilities to play the Violin, known as the hardest instrument in the world. You wouldn't know because you aren't talented.
Very gifted player. Wonderful execution of this exquisite Monti Csardas melody. Hat off to this beautiful young very talented artist. I live in Chicago, and I wish I could have seen her in person and would have rewarded for her performance very generously. TYVM Just a note it is next to the Art Museum on Michigan avenue across the lake.
Yeah that's originally how the violin was designed to be played! But I can't for the life find any shoulder rest that's comfortable, so I find it really cool when people can play without them.
Absolutely amazing performance. The harmonic section was missed coz noises of traffic was horrible even dough . If I was there I given big clap. Awesome. I love your performance.
bravo ! very excellent ! playing the piece of czardas is very difficult but this beautiful girl plays it very easily ! unfortunately the people that are walking don t have any understanding of a beautiful music !
I can assure eveyone who thinks otherwise that this is definitely a Violin. I play this piece quite often and it is clear that she is playing alot of the fast passage on an E string (the top string of the violin). If this was a Viola she would have to reach much further up the fingerboard to play the high notes as the top string of the Viola is an A, one fifth lower than the Violin's E string.
Poverty? You know how much money goes into doing something you love? Maybe they picture her not being able to afford to sit in front of a television hours on end like the "rest" of society does. Hahahaha I wish I could afford a violin and proper lessons! Thank you for bringing back the real, classic, America.
V. Monti: Czardas. Albeit the proper spelling would be Csa'rda's, which is a Hungarian word, the world knows it as Czardas. Similar to the Gulya's leves which got to known goulash or something like that. I just recently bought the sheet music (piano and violin) from I think Amazon, and started working on it. Surprisingly, it's not as hard as it looks...
Maybe it's just me, I acknowledge that she's good but that location is horrible, her music is being drowned out by the sounds of cars and ambiance of people. And that said, there's still some retards posting comments saying "people can't appreciate good music" I do accept some truth in that but people can't appreciate what they can't hear, fuckin dumbshits.
+NaNa Khan The two can be confused without sound, but if it isn't clear already from the pitch and arm position, the timbre particularly when reaching the E string should leave no doubt.
Most ppl do not appreciate this music because they do not understand it. The technicality involved and most just don't have a sense of beauty
Or because it's drowned out by the sounds of the city. :P
+j12torts maybe they are not just feeling it you know? Not everyone digs classical even if they "understand" it. You sound very arrogant
I agree.
It wasnt that great anyway.
Intonation was just not there. It was rushed, mechanical, etc.
Just because she plays the violin, it doesnt mean everyone had to stop and listen to a bad performance.
Casper Ablij not everyone digs classical because those people are modern slobs
One of the most beautiful melody, played absolutely beautiful, by one of the most beautiful young lady. Congratulations, Janos from Canada
Csardas, it's a beautiful piece she's playing. Talented girl.
Thank you so very much for sharing the name of this music! Been wanting to know this for many years!
A lot of people busk to share music with others. It's not always a sign of poverty...
+Austin Skylar Atiles its never a sign of poverty. the minority is poverty that statement you made is wrong
+Austin Skylar Atiles true, I often think about doing it and refusing money. just for the sake of spreading beauty
This song is so lush I'm doing it for my grade 8. The name
Is CZARDAS. She is so brave to play a piece like this on the street.
Such a good song and well played. So sad how unappreciated it is by the drones walking by
Drones in the other sense as well. I always say the only culture in the UK is in a dish in the local hospital laboratory.

Four fine tuners !!
The sadness on her face makes me sad too. Don't know why. I wish that happiness comes to her.
Subramanya Rao
Maybe thats just her face, you never know.
Yes, I agree. Some people have a sad expression on the face or cheerful expression. May not be the actual position. Thanks for your response and input.

Alex Rivers And maybe you can explain something to someone in better words too!!
Very gifted player. Wonderful execution of this exquisite Monti Csardas melody. Hat off to this beautiful young very talented artist. I live in Chicago, and I wish I could have seen her in person and would have rewarded for her performance very generously. TYVM
Just a note it is next to the Art Museum on Michigan avenue across the lake.
I find it amazing she manages to hold it up without a shoulder rest.
It's actually not that uncomfortable, well for some ppl it is. I don't have a shoulder rest and it fits fine.
Yeah that's originally how the violin was designed to be played! But I can't for the life find any shoulder rest that's comfortable, so I find it really cool when people can play without them.
See my comment up..(i'm between major melodic songwriter in time, of sure.. but i desprece people..are unworthy in art..
+Anet McClintock me too. I can barely play without a shoulder rest because it keeps on slipping off of my shoulders lol
I love Csardas, and she totally pulled it off! Beautiful! A shame more people didn't stop.
The intro is played wonderfully

What is the name of this piece ? It is very beautiful :)
+Sophie Suzuki czardas
+Energizer Thank you :)
Sophie Suzuki No problem!
She is playing Viola I think:) Czardas by Monti
What piece does she playing in her violin?
Does anyone know what song she is playing?
What's this girl's name?
I wonder how long it took her fingers to move that fast...
the sautille should be faster so maybe a couple weeks?
th-cam.com/video/ZHO6KOPWXtc/w-d-xo.html
Leo Costa that’s not even fast
For me, as a beginner, like 4 mounths and still need improvement
amazing :)
What is the title of this song?
WOW ! She has an amazing figure! and I also noticed that she's pretty good at playing the violin also :)
whats the title of this song?????
Czardas
Absolutely beautiful !
In my next Life, I will marry a Girl Violinist !
That's pretty rude if already have a wife
Que cancion es ?
Vittorio Monti - Csárdás
Poverty?
You know how much money goes into doing something you love?
Maybe they picture her not being able to afford to sit in front of a television hours on end like the "rest" of society does.
Hahahaha
I wish I could afford a violin and proper lessons!
Thank you for bringing back the real, classic, America.
Aplausos !
what song is?
"Czardas" - V. Monti. A true Classical! :)
Is she not wearing a shoulder rest??
People with pudgier or shorter necks don't wear them. Even Perlman doesn't and he's one of the best violinists in the world
Just one bit of constructive criticism. Your sautille wasn't really a sautille so you should work on that if you haven't already.
what song is this?
Amanda Wu czardas
thanks
what song is this? :/
Czardas
what song is she playing? it sounds sad.
the song is called csardas
what's the name of the song ? Oh I think I know, fisrt part of " Alejandro" by Lady Gaga
V. Monti: Czardas. Albeit the proper spelling would be Csa'rda's, which is a Hungarian word, the world knows it as Czardas. sad am still learning
i allready heard this in a moovie "les promesses de l'ombre"
theme russian ;)
Judging by the tone and size of the instrument she may be playing a viola, very well, IMO.
زیبا بود.....عالی
Is it just me or did it look like Robert downy jr. walked by at the end??
IKR
Holy shit
live and let others to live.
isnt that a viola?
👍👍👍👍💐💐💐💐
❤
Best would be if you were in Verona
Playing music isn't a sign of poverty. It's a sign that we've lost direction.
Im not sure but this sounds like a viola
+SilentRecon i think it is
It isn't.
Nick Lindridge may be the angle?
+NaNa Khan The two can be confused without sound, but if it isn't clear already from the pitch and arm position, the timbre particularly when reaching the E string should leave no doubt.
Nick Lindridge aahhh i forgot about the E string thanks for clearing it up ^^
Monti Czardasz :)
women on the violin are the best
Que sabe el burro de piano!!
