he didn't need to go THAT hard - starting our plywood floor 😬

- We are back with another attempt at our van build - with no experience we get going with our plywood floor - and let's just say Otis becomes a bit ahem obsessed with the curves and edges 😭 We also learn how to use a new tool - the circular saw 😱
BUT we're not going to complain because we are beyond thankful to be actually BUILDING - not cleaning rust or fixing leaks but actually putting something NEW in the van conversion. Yes, we are still technically behind on where we originally wanted to be (did we mention NOT to buy a part converted van? Cause, yeah, don't) but we think Sunny Jim is feeling good with LOTS of TLC and getting a proper job 😉
Let us know what you think....would you have done it like this? Were we too fussy? We think so 😂 Looking back, we did NOT need to go this hard on the specifics - because it's NEVER GOING TO BE SEEN 🥲
See you next week :) And as always - thank you for your support 🙏

I love watching your honest, down-to-earth, and funny videos! ❤
Wahay!! I recognise you from Life Uncharted!! Thank you so much ❤
Good afternoon everyone I love watching your videos of you building your new campervan I hope you are all well and enjoying your building your new campervan please keep up the good work up on your videos on your you tube channel please keep safe and warm well done
Thank you!! 🙏 we are keeping our spirits high!
Decorators Caulk will be your best friend, Also its ok to have some gaps for expansion
Yeah for suure! We also saw somebody use expanding foam round the gaps and then just Stanley bladed it down so it was flat - we on the other hand spent all day taking the wood in and out with tiny sandings 😅 in future I’ll know a gap isn’t the end of the world - especially when battens / wheel arch boxes / walls will cover it all anyways! 🤦🏼♂️
Well I stayed up past my bedtime waiting for this ;) Worth it. Otis mate, i feel your pain but guess you now realise it's not a problem. I'm a joiner and my cuts had about the same gaps! Dosen't matter. Loved the video. Can see SJ puts a lot of time into it. It's not easy finding the editing time hey. I always feel like mine a boshed together
.
Thanks mate!! Aye I definitely know it wasn’t worth it time wise now lol I proper got a bee in my bonnet about it (and that continues into the next vlog 😂) - the editing does take a minute yeah - we try our best to keep as much as possible in as we’ve spent so long moving that camera around lol! Looking forward to your next one!
Fair play Otis, that was some work! I am far less precise. 😂
Looks mint mate! Great videos guys 😊🤙🌟
Thanks mate! I should’ve been satisfied with the finish as it was - but hindsight only lets me know that now 😂
If there small gaps you can run a bit of builder Cork to fill the gap doing a great job
@@ls1100 thank you! I have been reminding myself of this the entire build because I deffo got too fussy about gaps early on 😅😩
My admiration for you is great and I hope everything turns out well for me, you are 👍 😅
Thank you so much 🙌🏻🙏
van conversion, I can see a floor in your plan....... :)
😂 very good sir
