I am a total old lady whenever I see a gift shop too. I even find myself looking at decorative tea towels! I am so glad you did this walk. I was hoping you would as I used to spend a lot of time walking around this area back when I lived in London.
My brother used to work at the Houses of Parliament and also live along your route. It's really fun to see where he must have walked every day while I was stuck in boring old Canada. Thanks, Lauren!
I so wish I could come to England just to do these walks. The city is beautiful with lots of hidden treasures. My home city of Sydney, Australia is also like that, just not as old!
I've been there this July and I loved the area around the Thames. There were a lot of street artists and this little book market was so great! I really want to go back to London at least one more time in my life ^^
I loved your vlog and watched it twice because I am going to walk in London on this weekend so i am just getting the idea from your vlog to where to start love you 😍
Ah this is oh so familiar - when I stayed in London I was close to Tower Bridge so most of this was in my neighbourhood and I went on so many walks there. Went to the Globe and absolutely loved it and yes the gift shop in Tate Modern is fabulous and of course Borough Market is Great, bought so many wonderful stuff there like Spanish Ham and Fantastic Strawberrys and brilliant cheeses . . Yum !!
How did I miss this video when you posted it?! Thanks for showing this route along the river. I used to work in Westminster and this was one of my favourite walks after work or at the weekend. There's just so much to do and see!
This is so cute! I appreciate your love of gift shops, I share that enthusiasm. You must go to the Globe next year, it's amazing, standing is the way to go, it's only £5.
ahh the memories of being in London watching this video! miss it so much! and I see Big Ben is getting some work done! sucks for the tourists trying to take a picture of it now though haha :-P
That gift shop in the Tate Modern - I can spend hours there. I love Borough Market and it has Monmouth Coffee right nearby which is one of the best coffee places.
An opinion from a miserable old git. Maybe a bit more of the views and a little less of the close-up of the talking head (beautiful though it is, and it is). Also a wider camara angle, so more of the attractive south bank and how it compliments the Thames can be seen.
This. Is. My. Favouritest. Place. In. London
The map is extremely useful, that's a really good idea of yours !

I always take that walk when I'm in London x
My dad used to sing in Southwark Cathedral choir and he said one of those houses was the vicarage. I think it still is.
Love this video! I want to go across the pond and visit London so badly. Maybe once I make an income off the books I hope to publish lol.
itv has moved to the old bbc tv centre while they do building work on the south bank site
