What a beautiful and powerful sermon! And so true! We cannot imagine God's divine love until we experience it and it burns us in the flames we never want to end. Today I was feeling that I never sacrifce for Jesus because sacrifice should be painful and nothing I've done to make Him the center of my life has been painful because its out of love. Then I saw him in my meditation in the desert at sunset just gazing and listening. In the distance was Him crucified. Then He said "What if I had nver been?" He proceeded to flay apart into the wind and while doing so, took all the love and the graces he had given to me out of my heart until nothing was left. I cried for an hour for the pain of losing Him and imagining this world if He had never been. No Blessed Virgin, no Jesus Christ ver happened... I cried out, "You can't do this to me!" He answered that He knew I could take i, and that I should give it to others as a sacrifice. So I am doing that. He left me in hell for a few hours. This is profound. If not for the Incarnation, I think God the Father would have removed this planet long ago for sheer hurt at what we do to Him daily. Sacred heart of jesus have mercy on us!
I have never heard a better sermon with such a vivid and profound explanation of the burning love of God and our Blessed Mother. Would that there were many more priests like this one. Bless you Father!
Could you please consider uploading these to a podcast? My husband & I are truck drivers & love listening , but can only do so when we're home or have an internet connection!
seraph 7 There is nothing wrong with the dress that I am wearing nor am I doing anything immodest. Thanks for your rash, insulting use of words though; very charitable of you. I am a daughter of God - He is not offended by me, but maybe you have a problem with feminine beauty? Caravaggio & Michelangelo are not impressed.
DEUS CARITAS EST= GOD IS CHARITY....not love. Charity is the highest form of love,a sacrificial love. In Latin, AMOR =love and CARITAS =charity. Saying that caritas = love is just a bad translation.
soda time By humbling Himself He became man. For our sakes, He suffered, died, and was buried. Three days later, in fulfillment of the Scriptures, He rose again. He is long suffering. He is all Good. All sins are an offense to Him. Yet He does not instantly destroy us upon our first sin. He instead honors our ability to choose. Oh, praise Him!
Really a brilliant introduction. The conclusion basically sums up every reason I am not, myself, a Catholic (the dreary weariness with which I have always seen Catholic prayer recited being surprisingly high on the list), but the description of the nature of God's love... marvelous.
I am so glad I came to know this channel. The sermons on this channel give peace and solace to my mind.
