Direction Island really is the pick of the island group out there. Perfect for a day trip from the West Island. BBQ, beers, swimming. That channel is a heap of fun with the fast moving current.
Your spearfishing technique is excellent...Low silhouette down by the coral and overhangs. Your patience and calmness is so evident. And you truly respect the ecosystem. Keep the adventures coming!

Nice!! That morning foraging is much like life here for us. We call the fluffy coconut “coconut grow” here and it’s a favourite for all village kids and whenever we’re out spearing and forget to pack kids snacks… instant treat hey!!!

I am huge coconut lover! I learned something new on this episode. I sure hope coconut fairy floss comes into my life to try someday. I had a very brief moment of time where I could not eat coconut. In HI bought a fresh coconut to drink from vendor and it was rotten. Went on boat excursion next day and got super sick. Idk why I even decided to attempt going I was so sick. Our bodies/nature is so amazing… for a month I was repulsed by thought of coconut, but thankfully that passed.

Hi Strict and Fran! Really love watching your episodes. Could you please do a challenge series where you don't use any equipment at all. A typical ship wreck situation where you start from scratch with no boat, knife, mask, snorkels, spear guns, fishing line, lighter etc. Just use what you find to survive for a week. You can pick an island with lots of coconut trees and oysters...lol. Best regards.

Just a thought and minor suggestion. If you allowed the fire to basically get very hot you would have cooked the fish a lot better. Open flames will burn and not cook right inside. Simply add the fuel (wood) and fan the fire till it gets bright hot red, turning to charcoal bits and no flames remaining.
Its about time you published a book on all your different meals you had, with your ingredients and how you made them. I'm sure all your video has the information you need!
