I just started playing on pc. I wanted to start learning how key binding works, etc. I'm currently practicing my aim on aimlab. Everything has a learning curve.
I game (console ) and do a lot of creative work with video editing, digital art and 3D animation. I ended up caving and decided to invest (rip my savings) in a strong pc to do my school work, hobbies and gaming on and so far I’m loving it!
Just ordered my first pc (a prebuilt due to the state of the market atm... I plan on upgrading it when the prices go down) and this video was a huge help, thanks man!
Something else that's great about PC gaming is the sheer size of the game library available to you. With a console, sure sometimes they're backward-compatible with games from the gen or two before, but with PC, you essentially have access to the entire wealth of PC games that have existed up to this point. Heck, with a bit of effort, there are even ways to run old DOS games if you want.
I actually learned a lot from this video so I just wanna say thanks! I've only watched a few of your videos so far but I really like your content. I get what I'm looking for. I'm also kinda new to all this computer stuff but you make it really easy to understand.
My next addiction. Thanks for this! Bought my buddies old gaming pc and I’m ready to cram all this knowledge into my brain in a week and go splurge on new parts
An interesting ‘case’ study for you to try, split into 3 questions: 1. How much/many 140mm based radiators (e.g. multiple mixes of 420mm and/or 560mm) would you need to be able to passively cool (WITHIN the same case as the components) a top of the range (eg RTX 3090 and AMD 9 5950X or a threadripper) fully water cooled system (at least GPU, CPU) at full over clock, to within 5 degrees of ambient temperature with the fans set to their absolute lowest possible speed, and not really needing to spin at all under normal load? 2. Which off the shelf cases (max spending limit of $1,000 for the case) can fit all those radiators at the same time? 3. If there are no cases which you can buy off the shelf which can fit those radiators at the same time within the system case, which case would you buy off the shelf as a starting point, and can you show us a step by step followable guide to how to mod the case so it CAN fit all those radiators? Try and keep the modifications to methods that people could DIY with only moderate access to power tools. Can you demonstrate/show us such a system in action, and give us a rough idea of total cost for the case and total cooling system (e.g. presumably if there are loads of radiators, a more powerful pump would be needed)?

a strong part of this video were the nice quality artistic shots of your pc and its parts. it was visually very pleasing and helped me keep my interest. I think you put this video together really well
Great info. It would be good of someone to hit on ergonomics. Gaming can ruin your body, monitor too low (yours), a good chair, keyboard and mouse at right height. It's all boring but just like rgb and quiet fans, it'll keep the gaming fun for longer.
When I was younger 10-11 years ago My PC didnt even had a Video Card. I was relying on Intel Graphics lmao. Hey Mr. Centric, just wondering what’s your advice on whether I should begin my PC journey. I have been constantly binge watching your videos and other Tech channels and I have a good idea of what I am looking for in my build. I’m just concerned about the current GPU situation and whether or not it’s a good time to start buying and building. I can’t stop thinking about what I want my setup to look like but I’m finding it difficult to commit because of the cost and stigma around it. I play on Xbox currently and don’t have many friends involved in the PC master race. I’m sure there is other people in the same position as me so what’s your opinion? P.S. might be a good video title and idea since the new surge in demand.
Console players are turning to PC because of the lack of consoles. What they don't realise is that there are no graphics cards for the same reasons - covid and scalers. It's a bad time to be looking for a new game platform. Maybe next year
@@donkeysunited Hello Donkey, it is a year since you posted this comment and I just wanted to let you know that you were indeed right. This is the year. GPU prices just dropped big time. I'm building my first PC and I just picked up a 3080 for $820 after tax and everything, compared to this time last year when they were selling for $2000. I'm glad I waited.
Planning on getting my first pc next month. Probably going with a custom build from pc specialist but have not completely decided yet looking to spend around £1500
Thanks for this, I'm a pc builder myself and I've got a 3070 coming next week (for my own build).I play Apex with a Samsung 60Hz 4k monitor so your video helped me with a few little things. I'm interested to see what happens with G-sync, as it will limit the fps by default to 60 because the monitor is 60 hz. Its a very weird scenario we a facing with 4k gaming, Fps and monitors 🙃
why don't you use a higher hz Monitor? I would recommend at least 144hz, that way you can take advantage of that extra FPS when playing games like Apex.
@@MH-ub8mx I bought a Samsung Odyssey G7, so managed to get around 200fps (fluctuating with G-Sync), and also got an acer predator due to the Samsung having scan line issues. I'm still surprised there are many 4k monitors over 60hz available. The 144hz ones are rare and expensive so I'm sticking with 2k for now :)
I’m not gonna lie if any other Person said the stuff in this video I would clown them but not this guy. He’s such a genuinely good a nice guy I just can’t, good stuff brotha.
I think a power supply should be top 3 things you should not cut corners on. Like getting a good PSU gives you head room for upgrades, cost less than upgrading and is safer getting silver or above 80 Plus rating. I think if you're going Intel, ram is a good place to cut a few corners and so is the motherboard. I know a few B550 boards that are around $100 that are more than usable. Other than that, FULLY AGREE! Great video!
I wouldn't go advising people to not go overboard on PSU either, if you want to upgrade your PC later on you will need more power most likely unless you are getting a new gen lower power part, but most new gen high end parts are still as high wattage or higher. I would never get less than a 750W PSU even if your PC only needs 350W. Large overheads in needed power can also hugely extend the life of the power supply.
Hey Marcus, I'm gearing up for my very first PC build and your channel has been super helpful! Would you still recommend the NZXT H510 Elite case? I absolutely love the look of it, but I'm worried about my 5800x and evga 3080 ftw3 ultra getting too warm. Thoughts? Thanks!
@@PcCentric Hm I see. Where would you recommend installing the rad then? Or, would you suggest not using an AIO all together? In every video I can find, it looks like people have been mounting the rad on the front so I' a little confused. Maybe I should just compromise and get a different case lol. Thanks again!
Have a nice talk with them explaining why it’s better to build one (I’m assuming that’s what you want) instead of buying a prebuilt. If you really HAVE to buy a prebuilt get one where YOU know what parts are in there like NZXT’s.
@@Marcus-gx4yk yeah ive asked a million times and now its too late i feel like bc of alot of parts being inflated as hell due to covid. You dont want a ryzen 5 2600 beacause it has the same performance as ryzen 5 1600af but ryzen 5 2600 is 100$ more expensive or £75 more exoensive and there have the same performance

An interesting ‘case’ study for you to try, split into 3 questions:

I think it just looks cool because of all the colors and everything
I’m not gonna lie if any other Person said the stuff in this video I would clown them but not this guy. He’s such a genuinely good a nice guy I just can’t, good stuff brotha.
Wow this video was great :) I'm currently building my very first PC and this was really helpful! I cant wait to be finished and get started!
Can you recommend how to get your first pc like all the pieces and everything
Pay $500 for a console and $60 a game or $1500 for the PC and $2.99 for a game on Steam :) edit: during non stupid GPU times...
I have a PS5 but I also want a PC for the things we can’t do on consoles just yet.
