If anybody wants to see a comparative measurement between a Rohde & Schwarz HM8118 (2.700€) and the RuoShui 4090C (240€), please contact me. Summarized, it can be said, that the RuoShui 4090C has a very decent accuracy for its price. If you are a hobbyist, do not hesitate to buy it. I also have the User Manual and the SCPI Command Reference in digital format.
After some weeks of use, I am so impressed with the RuoShui VC4090C! +Good accuracy in comparison with the Rohde & Schwarz HM8118 +Decent Display you can read from all angles with a GUI like you would expect +Can measure all needed parameters, also for professional applications (even the imaginary part of the impedance: X) +Supports SCPI commands +Has a working PC App if you run it as Administrator. Thereby you can use both, RS232 and USB. +East Tester covers the hole for the USB, RuoShui does not. They use a suitable front panel. +Once you have an LCR Meter on your bench, you will use it permanently, especially when you are repairing devices or when you design filters. -The BNC connectors of included Kelvin Clip Leads have very low quality -No functionality to measure transformers but how many people out there do this actually need?
Hi Tony. I've become a huge fan of your channel. You do an absolutely insane amount of reviews. Much appreciated 🙏 Any chance you could review the ET4510? Or rather one the ET45XX variants. They seem to be similar to the ET4410 with adjustable frequency and some other such features. I'm super curious what they look like inside too and if it is simply an ET4410 with different software. I'd have no problem ordering one but I think the internet is in need of an actual useful review of them and you are the only reviewer basically reviewing just about everything these days.
Hi, thank you so much for the nice comment. For now, EastTester or Victor do not send me free stuff to review yet. so when an item is not at Eleshop for borrow, it means i need to buy it myself or wait for a donation. in this case i already have the ET4410 so buying it myself is not an option for now. so i hope EastTester and or Victor will find my channel soon :)
Thanks for posting the video. Defpom did a video on the East Tester ET4401. It is the 10 kHz max version. It looks pretty much the same both inside and out and it has the same metal case. The East Tester does come with rubber corner guards on the outside of the case. I actually like the front panel color scheme better than the RuoShui but covering the USB and the power switch do look better on your unit. I am going with the East Tester 100 kHz max version on Aliexpress and at this time with shipping goes for around $270.00 USD. One comment on the electrolytic capacitor measurement. I think you might have the wrong test frequency selected. I can not see the value from your video (1kHz???) which will effect the resulting measured value. Usually smoothing caps are measured at 100 or 120 Hz to simulate full-wave rectified line frequencies of 50 or 60 Hz. Also I am not sure mine will have the English user manual so thank you very much for taking the time to post your manual... much appreciated!
Hello Jwrtiger, thanks you for your comments, yes that makes sense for bigger Caps to use a lower freq, good point, i used it now in automode and did not read, just wanted to test it asap :-).. Hope yours arrives soon and welcome for the manual..
thank you Tony. I bought hantek 1833c and I think it is as good as this machine which you are introducing. I am also thinking to buy uni-t 622e, do you recommend it?
Could you test what maximum capacitance the two meters can test? RuoShui say max 9999 uF in the data sheet, which is rather low. EastTester say 99.999 mF which would be more ok.
I now got a RuoShui 4091C. It had no problem measure a 47,000 uF capacitor. With a 330,000 it had problem, but I am not too suprised. 47,000 uF covers 99% of my needs so all ok.
Hello there Mr tony, nice device you got this time, it seems to be very accurate, do you have a specific use for it? because it's very expensive for the difference in price compared to a good multimeter
Hello Yuri, for accuracy you need the 4 leads connection , the calvin clips, some DMM can do Capacity not to many can do Inductance... also the frequency it does it samples on, makes it can do a very large range of values.
I'm wondering when you need to measure at 100khz instead of 10 kHz. My guess is to measure smaller capacitance or inductance ? I'm a noob so please enlighten me. The similar device with a frequency range up to 10khz is a fair bit amount cheaper.
@@TonyAlbus Electrolytics are generally tested at 100/120Hz by manufacturers, so going to a higher frequency could result in lower accuracy on the electrolytics. Electrolytics are generally not used for high frequency use.
Hello Tony. I would like to share additional information on connecting and using the ET4400 bridge meter with a personal computer. I can't install a driver for Windows 7. The message "Error reading setu initialization file" appears. I suggest you jointly explore the possibility of the device to work in conjunction with a personal computer. The Hantek 1833 is very nice indeed, the uni-t i have not tested, but i have still an EastTester portable in my queue to show on video ET432
Danke für dein Video. Mehr Nahaufnahmen wäre besser.
Thank you for the feedback!
Hi, Is there any softwaere to transfer the data from ET4410 to the computer. Thanks.
Yes the software is in the video description, you need to run in XP compatible mode

Hi, have a look at the DMMcheckPlus, great for testing. they have now the Rev.8 which is amazing.
When you start shelving out the window bay 😃
LOL..yes need space :)
Nice piece of equipment
Thank you, Yes i was also happely supprised it looked this good.
Oh dear, now you have to arrange the equipment stacks again...
Haha, yeps... think the marconi counter needs to move to secondary position, the LCR fits nice ontop of the 2955... the endless tetris :)

Both machines are the same, you see that when i open them... would like to help you, but don't have caps that big.

Hi tony try a wirewound resistor ti see if it gonna recognize it as resistor.

Will do that in one of my QA videos.
hi, I am new to this, but I bought et4401, do you have labview sample program to control et44 series?

All those meters are just a vanity. They do nothing for you. You can do the same with a $20 bucks tester or make your own for few bucks
