Cathal Hayden a well known musician here in Ireland from Pomeroy Co Tyrone. I know Cathal from back in the day.A quiet, unassuming gentleman who has played worldwide alongside many famous artists. Yet remains the same man i knew back in the day.Probably the strongest fiddle and banjo player i have ever heard. ☘
I once had a bottle of Poitin made by Mick - it was in our house growing up. It was so strong, we used it to clean the cassette heads on our tape recorders. McIlhatton was a legend in our house.
Christy brought Bobby's songs to the world. Gorgeous fiddle there at the end, it made the song

Anyone knows the name of it?
How come when he is in concert in ireland and if the crowd start to clap he stops and tells them to stop clapping?
Guys too far up his own hole the wank. Good singer but turned into a wanker of a person
cfcnlr that’s not true at all..... he’s a class singer and a brilliant character... think there’s a bit of jealousy .....
I think it depends on the venue Tbh, you expect the barrowlands to be nuts
As the man said... he tried!
@@alanfinnegan464 it depends on how well he knows the song…if he’s just learned it then the clapping puts him off his timing….true
Let the man sing ,ye can clap when the song is over
