Read this book in 2007. Recommended, by my former manager. It took me 3 days to read it. Great book. Didn’t care for the movie, but like you said. It was a movie of its time.
Just finished reading it, & I found it to be very enjoyable. Fans of James Herbert, & Clive Barker's Books of Blood will like it - : well written, creepy at times - it has slight historical fantasy feel to as well, with the good vs evil aspect which takes place during one of history's turning points. The diagrams of the area help as well.
Great narrative Peg. This book/film sounds intriguing 🤔. I might give it a go at some point. 👌👌👌👍👍👍😀😀😀
