    Mahalo for your video. I was looking for some pointers on what kind of kevlar to use to rewrap my bamboo torches for Polynesian fire dancing here in Hawaii. I found your video to be very helpful!

      I'm planning to replicate that as a fire stick with a torch at each end.

    Is there a reason you use screws on normal torches and thread on the hollow ones?

    • @mehowcreate5832
      @mehowcreate5832  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, normal torches are not meant to be touched by hands or mouth. Hollow torches are often touched by hands and put inside mouth. You don't want to have hot metal screws in contact while you are touching the hollow torch. Metal screws are getting hot really quickly and you just can't touch it.

    What is the fuel used? To get a flame that stays for a long time.

    • @mehowcreate5832
      @mehowcreate5832  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It all depend on where you are based and what products are available to you. I usually use paraffin based fuels such as lamp oil or naphtha. In USA it's very popular to use white gas, but it's HIGHLY flammable (and flame don't last for that long). For beginners I would recommend to stay with paraffin.

    Could i replace the metal for wood for a more natural look?

    • @mehowcreate5832
      @mehowcreate5832  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wood is more likely to burn or catch fire, since you have to dip it in some sort of fuel (I recommend paraffin based fuels) You could make it with wood but it will not be as versatile as metal one

    Kevlar wick, but why did you not state any different fuels to use?

      use paraffine as a fuel for those torches
