I have an infraction v1 that loses reception after a few feet. How do I fix that issue? Mine is one of the few that were sold when it first came out. I need help

Just come back from the first run. I am so grateful. The carpark became smaller and smaller as my adrenaline grew,but my brand spanking new Infraction is still intact without damaging the splitter or the body because of good brakes andwatching your vids for driving techniques. Also Vas at Aussie Rc Playground was very helpful too. I cleaned it thoroughly even though i know it won't last. Kepp it up Rich, from Perth Australia.

Colin do this literally before you first run it, stock brake setting is awful, you and your cars front splitter will thank me! Also if you so much as tap the front splitter on a curb it falls off and pulls out the 5 small screws holding it on, don't expect to find them as none of us have, but DON'T be tempted to refix it on with longer screws, still use short ones as that way when you next kiss the curb the splitter will pop off again, but if you fix it on with long screws it will snap, or kink badly. just upped my braking tonight rich first time ive done speed runs with the infraction and only on the stock gear and didn't realise till upto about 60mph how poor brakes are set standard what a difference at 50 percent great advice

@Driftomaniacs In a Felony video you mentioned that you have the Infraction ESC brake setting to 100% so did you up it some more after this video was made?
Parco no, but yes! Thing is both cars have the brake set as stock to 70-75% and this really isn't enough for the weight of the car. On the new Felony Transmitter you can increase or decrease the brake % on the fly BUT even with it turned up to 100%, the esc brake is only set on 75% as stock. So even though you think you're at 100% braking, the esc is in fact only set to 75%. Hope that makes sense? Hard to break it down.
Just wanna share it works the same way on the ARRMA MOJAVE 6S. Literally identical
I have one on order. I must say, even on 50% the braking is dismal. Virtually all of my other RC cars I need to reduce the braking because it will usually brake so hard out of the box that the car/truck will do a forward flip, or at the very least lock up the wheels and slide. Why does your Infraction only "just" barely slow down?
I had two when this was filmed this one may have been the 8s one, although I've modified that one to run on twin 8s motors and esc's
What sort of range does one get as I would get one if I could fpv it and link it to my taranis / crossfire system is linking it to crossfire possible
I'm seeing about 300m. As for crossfire sorry never heard of it as I don't do fpv and that's a question for spektrum/horizon hobby who I'd ask. I think your chances of keeping this on the road with fpv at 80+ would be very very slim indeed

Not sure on how to increase the braking on the transmitter, just the esc, If you can adjust the braking on the dx5c then it should talk about it in the manual, or give horizon a call (but be prepared for an hours wait)

Hey Richie, I fairly recently purchased a lightly used Losi Super Rock Rey. The previous owner didn't give me the manual with it, which I didn't notice till I got it home. It has pretty bad braking as well. It isn't quite as bad as the Arrma infraction braking looks but is still bad none the less. Is it safe to assume that the same method you used on the Arrma is identical to the Rock Rey. I know Horizon hobbies has the manual for download but I can't seem to get it to work. Probably doesn't help my only "computer" is the one I got in my hand, my cellphone. The weird thing is I downloaded the one for the 1/10 Rock Rey just to see if it was just the phone, but it downloaded just fine. I emailed Horizon hobbies to see if I could order or even purchase a paper copy, and they said they don't have any. Any help, even from subscribers, would be highly appreciated.

Used to own a traaxas stadium truck , was thinking of jumping back in debating weather to pick up an infraction or a Kraton ??? Any thoughts as to which is ome to pick up?
John a lot depends on where you're going to use it. I love the infraction to bits and I'd say get that BUT it's road focussed, whilst it'll tackle light gravel it's not designed to jump in anyway, however if you've a lot of blacktop around you to play with I'd say get the infraction. If you've mainly grassy areas near you then the Kraton is a better choice. But I'd go with the infraction everytime

What about the V2? It has a different transmitter correct? And a separate brake setting on there. Does the esc need a second programming of this?
You are entirely correct the V2 has a different transmitter BUT you'll want to watch my video on what the one thing to do to an arrrma felony. As.... whilst you can control the brake from zero to 100% on the transmitter, the esc is set on just 75% braking so even with the control on the remote set on 100% reality is??? You've only 75% of the braking, which on a car of this weight simply isn't enough. So yes with the infraction V2 you still need to reprogram the esc, at least if you don't want to replace the splitter daily! Very good points you raise. Do check out the video I mention though!

@@DriftomaniacsRC So reading the manual for the version to infraction to factory default of the break strength is 75%.
I just tried holding the set button while turning the ESC on and all it does is keep blinking red and never turns green. I tried to mimic exactly what you did in the video but it does not work on the version 2
But I went to the manual follow the directions I kept the breaking strength at 75%(factory setting) and changed the punch setting from Level 4 to level 5 and everything else I kept the same.
From the factory it also states that reverse strength is 25% and the punch setting is set to level four.

Depends on whether you're after all out speed or a very fast car that will be a lot more fun to drive. You can probably get the XO1 to be faster overall and be more stable on high speed runs, but the infraction is more fun to drive (I've owned an XO1 before) but it will be less stable at high speed, that said the infraction is way, way more fun to drive as you can literally get the tires to smoke when drifting!

Hi Rich, I love your videos, I"ve a little bit of problem understanding your accent but nevertheless I like them. Please make more on the Infraction I have several of the 6s Arrma cars but the Infraction is going to be my next. I haven't yet but I will very soon. If you can make a video where you explain in details how to use the hand brake to drift, there some that say it will brake the diffs, I don't know if you can make one on this subject you will be the first. Thank you!
