Driftomaniacs ❤️ watching your videos, I got influenced and was able to find one here in Canada. I just bought the truck without anything, received it today, it was last one available. And now I wanna figure out what batteries, engine, esc, fans, to buy to have it run as an 8s car. Im trying to build a brand new 8s truck. Any advice what parts I should buy to have an immaculate set up.
I saw it still says 6s on the top of the body. Please put a 1 in front of it.

crazy power, i say go straight for maximum amps! Also I bet your top speed was way more, those gps things need to be held at said speed for a few seconds to accurately measure. I reckon you went 110 at least
Appreciate the support Kev. Felt a little faster for sure although top end acceleration is out of this world I figure it’s doing upwards of 80 before the aero kicks in enough for me to nail it. More to come this week I’ll try it with the camera on it.

I'm more of a dirt guy just because I grew up watching Dukes of Hazzard but even my jaw with dropping on how fast that thing is. So I don't know why Nitro still exist with electric doing things like this. Just saw a new speed control that would do 8s with the 6s E-maxx. I would love to see how fast one of those to go but I think it would blow out the motor. Anyway awesome video my friend! People bitching that that's not technically 16s I just finding something to bitch about. Technically that could get around the limitations of the motor RPMs by splitting the power between two Motors and being able to gear up that's very smart. It gives me some ideas for my E-maxx or a dual motor xmaxx.

Thanks 👍 It was a labour of love, moving the steering forwards 5mm and over to the right 5mm and then remounting the servo was what took the longest to get right as given that power I didn't want any weak points. I have a full build video coming as I shot every last little step along the way. Getting the two motor to run as one also takes some doing. Hopefully we run in anger again soon. Stay safe!

Super Fast... I have the same DUMBORC 6ch transmitter/receiver. Great distance and less delay compared to my Redcat stock. Only bad thing is the steering wheel is slippery so I took off the rubber from my old Redcat transmitter and forced it on which works great using left hand to drive with thumb doing the steering.

Insane power mate, 99.3km for me today on the normal pinion, I’m upgrading to max 5 and 8s on the standard brushless that came in the infraction.

Awesome vid bro, make sure you have extra foam between the factory foam bumper and the front of the body that way the body wont flex during high speed runs and the front air spoiler or lip won't scrape on the ground.

I think to get a lot of control on this beast you could consider putting some weight on. And while doing it put every single corner on the scale to make it perfectly 25% weight on each wheel. You would get better acceleration, better braking, and overall control. If you have so much excess of the power you can easily reduce per-to-weight-ratio with only benefits of that move. Excellent project. Excellent.
It probably weighs over 20lbs as it is, even if I doubled the weight I think it'd break traction, the twin motors have 10.4 bhp between them! Glad you like it though

That thing is absolutely insane, I do think the only way you’re really going to get top speed out of it is on a runway and your going to have to be on a scissor lift and someone on ground control in case something happens ! Awesome vids ! 👍✌️

I was kind of thinking there was some power lacking considering 16s power. Makes sense with the ESC amperage at 50%. That's kind of scary to think what could be at 100% power delivery. Will probably blow the body and tires right off the chassis.

Driftomaniacs I’m not sure what your talking about. Your title says 16s, you don’t have 16s voltage going to anything. You have 8s going to twin motors. That’s all I’m saying.

Dual motors equate to double the torque of a single 8s with a single motor hes not looking for top speed just the tire spin... it is technically 2x8s, 16s lipo definitly just sounded cooler

It certainly is insane, new motor arrives this week as I let one get two warm when hooning (and eating a set of tires in 8 mins!) Problem in the limitless would be mounting the esc's. You can squeeze only 1 in up top and that's with the red brace removed. Saying that we sell the dual esc mounting plate but I'm 99% thinking it won't fit in the limitles, but it'd make for a hell of a car for sure!

Great build! Love all that you do. I think you might enjoy that a bit more if you put some 4000 mah batteries, lighten her a pound or so.
Cheers Karl, I am thinking of raising the nose a little to shift the weight back a touch now it shows no signs of lifting. I'm also going to strap the 8s packs towards the back as opposed towards the front. Hopefully those two mods should help shift a bit more weight over the rear wheels. I'd kept the weight forwards to stop it blowing over. To lighten it a pound or two I'd have to remove a lipo!!! :-) I think it has enought power to overcome any negative aero from the truck body. Wishing I'd not cut the rear spoiler down as I think it has the power to overcome the drag. All input MUCH appreciated as I know you are one of the masters of this kind of setup (Guys Check out Track13News videos as Karl knows his stuff). Top end speed could be monsterous BUT I built this to just hoon with, If we break some records along the way then that's a bonus!

Just rebuilding it with a few upgrades (like bearings!) should be up and running again later next week, now just need an airstrip to test it (and it's new bugatti body for a full on speed run)

I think you could bennefit from a body that provides more downforce and straight line consistency, you might consider a Sprint Car body, as i believe you would be able to see closer to top speed with it and be able to control the turns better
