Good to hear as this is the best attack helicopter of all time plus it’s an amazing bit of kit and is my favourite out of all the military helicopters.
I remember our Afghan interpreter's relaying to us that the Taliban called them Mosquitoes. Also the Chinnock a "Cow". The helicopter served us well. Did the job. Farewell old friend!
There is nothing that matches the apache. Much like the F-35, the bots drones and shills all hate it but it is the best attack helicopter on the planet.
@@pantherowow77 Russia has terrible designers, terrible engineers, terrible pilots, terrible technology and a terrible culture. Cope harder, the losses speak for themselves.
Will they keep the folding rotors? The Mk1 in British service was originally known as the WAH partly because the British airframes had folding rotors, which permitted their use on HMS Ocean. But if they're being rebuilt to AH64E standard, will this just be the same model the US Army are using, or will they keep the folding rotors?
Looking at my 1/35th scale Takom AH-64E Apache Guardian model. Yep! All E’s now have folding rotors. The U.S. found it’s so much simpler to have the Apaches rotor fold for shipment on ships and get it into the bellies of say, a Boeing C-17, which the British also operates and/or a C-5 Galaxy.
Anyone who has ever worked on military helicopters and airplanes understands the love/hate relationships with their birds. I worked on CH-47B/C and C-5B USA.
They have always been very vulnerable , Apaches can't be used solo. Like most military assets combined arms strategies need to be used to use these assets to their full potential
No, the war in Ukraine is highlight Russia's KA-52 and Mi-28 short comings Thanks Iraq and Afghan, US Apaches and Cobra are equipped with more stand off capabilities Russian KA-52s and Mi-28 lack stand off capabilities as seen in their video they do more running and gunning then precision strike hence their massive losses One of the newer features of the AH-64E is that is receive real time video from UAVs allowing UAVs to scout all and locate threats The US Army is in process of upgrading the Longbow radar so they can use the SPIKE NLOS to max effect The NLOS can strike targets up 20 miles away. This is interim measure till JAGM increment II/III is available The JAGM III variant is supposed to be the longest range variant similar to the Brimstone II/III
Not really. Russian KA-52s with long range ATGMs were reportedly one of the key reasons why the Ukrainian summer offensive failed. Advancing Ukrainian armour, outrunning supporting SAM systems, was apparently vulnerable to helos operating outside MANPAD ranges with their long range ATGMs.
Because we have got the newer versions the AH-64 E model with better engine, better optics and technology and basically better performance and flight performance and there’s other mods too.

They will never be sent to Ukraine EVER! No, there are a lot of fundamental differences which would be completely uneconomical to modify
Just hope we don't go short if the Russians kick off, it does seem a bit strange to thin the heard at this moment in time
We're too busy dishing out money to illegals to consider our defence.

Will the AH-64E retain its designation in AAC service? Or will it be designated as the Apache Mk2 to keep it in line with the MoD Naming Nomenclature?
