I think it was Tom Clancy that wrote about these things in a novel or something
"Don't bother running, you will just die tired "
Why Uk cant make own attack helicopters ?😂
@@shuttlespace04Britain could very likely design and build an attack 'copter - maybe even superior to the Apache. There has been instances of this in the past. However, two things usually get in the way: firstly the time frame, and secondly finances. The project more often than not starts to exceed the "in service" time and incurs vast cost overruns. The cherry on the cake is usually the lack of orders needed to make it financially viable because other countries would rather buy " the American one" (other countries may even be getting "leaned on" by the Americans to buy their's), so an order book of four to Oman and a provisional order of one to Ethiopia won't be enough to cut it. So eventually, having spent billions trying to bring it into service, the government will call time on it to cut their losses. The Americans will then take it over and end up selling the finished article back to us, and take all the kudos for it.
@@shuttlespace04 They can barely afford to buy 50 units. There is no money nor expertise to design nor manufacture one.
@@shuttlespace04volume….. pointless in small production runs as each aircraft carries a very high proportion of R&D
@@chrisaskin6144In other words, britain can't...🙄
Putins worst nightmare?? How, this thing will never go anywhere near Russia lol
So first of all it will fly, not go and second since it will be Russia who attacks, hes actually the one to come. And btw. Putins worst nightmare is just being a lame gas station with nukes, politely considerd a regional power, international a joke.
I mean look at his allyes hahaha
Exactly and why the war words total ridiculous warmongering cockwombles❤️
I've had Apache helicopters bail me out of quite a few tricky situations and multiple deployments with the British Army absolutely amazing bit of kit
They were excellent for their era. I fear that time might just might have come and gone. Would be delighted to shown to be wrong but MANPADS are so numerous and advanced now I cannot see how the risk of deploying them can be justified. Time will tell.
I’ve got a serious question for you, how do you genuinely feel about fighting and risking your life for the richest families in the world?
@@Rob........811 - Pride, Heritage, Honour.
I too served. Op Herrick.
There's more to life than being a keyboard warrior.
@@lonewarrior6633 You take pride in fighting for Jp Morgan?
@@Rob........811 I'm not even going to answer this question because you would never understand the reasons. If you did you would not ask.
Very nice, my own Dutch airforce is now also receiving their first AH-64E Longbow Apache's. The first one had it's take off a few days ago. Can't wait to photograph them! Let's hope these Apache's will also visit RIAT, Fairford in July
Max and Lewis in a apache that would be fun..
I’m happy to hear they’re upgrading a proven platform and not replacing it.
It's so good it actually replaced one of it's replacement - "The U.S. Army said it was abandoning development of a Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA)".
@@whyno713 "Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft " Is not the replacement for apache's but for the Kiowa warrior
@@Sam_Guevenne and guess what has already replaced the Kiowas and is currently carrying out the scout/reconnaissance role?
UK And USA don't have the brains to replace it. That's why. We have no design, concept, manufacturing infrastructure anymore.
One of the most beautiful, yet terror inducing machines ever made . It's like an angry wasp
Yeah. Inflicting terror is definitely a way of earning respect. 🤦♂
I only hope it won't enter in enemy territory. It's too expensive to finish being taken down by a "well endowed" skinny soldier hiding among the trees. Its power is to attack tanks from the distance, AFAIK.
Only In a Desert...😉
and you are a chunk of raw meat with legs leaving a smell trail of fear.
With zero British engineering input.😂😂😂
@@user-oy5mm3pb2gwell it does because we have took an amazing attack Helicopter and made it better you dunce
From an American to my Brothers across the Pond. Enjoy! I can't wait to see the videos of the low flights like our guys do and post on youtube. If you haven't seen them check it out.
Thanks brother.
we are not your brother, too many warpigs in usa !corrupt politicions in washington !
We’ve had apaches for a couple of decades now.
Very nice machine. Special shout out to CPL Shilling, its people like him who know their craft well and keep us all safe.
The irony of a machine that can fly in any weather conditions, having its flight cut short due to weather conditions 🤦🏼♂️
Just because you can doesn't mean you should unless you have to.
lol yeah, was no doubt due to flying over england+city though and some bull laws about flying in drizzle over a populated area lol...
If you listen properly, the fact that a member of the public was on board means stringent regulations are in place and must be followed, as you said yourself, the machine flys in all conditions.
You said the Abrams was Putin's worst nightmare. Look how that turned out😂
The Abrams given to Ukraine isn’t what the U.S. Army uses so laugh all you want.
I never heard someone say this tbh. Putins nightmare would be if the US decided to fully support Ukraine with everything.
So maybe this was your thought,so it's definitely a you problem
@benfischer6303 The US doesn't have a good track record. Losing wars to Third world countries
@@Bandit3035B Well I don't think a t lot of Americans care about a track record, neither do I tbh a track record isn't irrelevant for the question of power and strength.
Oh but most Russians definitely will cause they are really sensitive and insecure about their role as a country in the world. That's also why they think "being feared" by other countries is some kind of good reputation.
@@Bandit3035B you don’t know what you’re talking about, Vietnam the army won 85% of the battles, it was politicians who lost the war and the same thing happened in Afghanistan. Get your facts straight before you open your mouth.
Hope they work better than the aircraft carriers
Awesome !!
I don't think it's wise to tell your enemies details about your weapons 😂
Pretty sure they didn't tell them everything,,😂
Yeah, and the Uk with its budget will purchase about 5 units 😂
get out of here bot
you got that right !
Think they ordered 50 of the new version

Worst nightmare when u dont fighting lol
Amazing stuff. I would love to sit in some of the training schools and listen to the weapons training. Maybe in another life 😂😂
DCS has the operational D model.
It seems like a fine machine but the battlefield is the real test. Can't wait to see it in action

@@daveberry2177 Yes. I don't like that "Can't wait to see it in action" sentence.
Nonetheless, its a nice piece of machinery. Hopefully that potential will deter aggressors.

very true i agree
Not like its hasnt been in action?
Does this E model still have the HIDAS countermeasure defence system....
All i can say absolutely beautiful apache proud to be British and part of nato 🇬🇧🇪🇺
Made in the USA. So the loud mouthed British don't even have their own chopper! Your Challenger could not challenge Russian drones in Uktaine and was silent with weeks, and your Stirm shadows relegated to the shadows of scraps, too.

A beast, but didnt we say abrams and leopards were going to scare putin? Lol whats the point of putting that in the title
They do scare Putin. He’s lost the young men of Russia. He’s screwed ultimately.
Rolls Royce engines, v nice
Meanwhile random russian guy sends CHILLING messages to new Apache pilots 😂.
Logistical, Maintenance Support ?
Oh the engines that less powerful than the previous models RTM322s

Most feared chopper ever made, frightening yet effective no escape
The abrams also they said 'the most feared'.. until it met the shovel and washing machine chips.
Putin's nightmare? Like the Challenger? lolz!
you should see what I can do with the A H 1 in realistic war thunder mode
Pretty sure the new ah64e has the data link 16 system so an f35 cruising overhead can share it's target picture with the helicopter
Is it a better version of whats Poland buying right now ??
Yes British Army specific
so has Blue Thunder ;) lol
Hum the theme tune
The apache isn't unrivalled have you seen the Ka 52 fully loaded that thing is scary
Why it’s a Putin nightmare😂😂😂.. when Russia didn’t afraid of leopard and Abhram tank .. 😂😂😂 … so advertising is good but false information and propaganda will not work 😂😂😂
Do some research. The apache can hit targets 3 miles away while hiding behind hills trees and building. Russian helicopters can't do that. The only propaganda that sucks is Russian. They are operating like it's the 60s. Very laughable. Like when Russian military said they shot down F16s, destroyed Bradley's, Challenger 2s and Leos...before Ukraine received them. Hahaha.
@@willthorson4543 I think u don’t have only believe one sided news that’s your uncle Joe and 30 + NATO countries still not able to stop Russia 😂😂😂😂… Russian alligator in Ukraine in nightmare fir western tanks and armoured vehicles…don’t u read that news from different western military analysts and also from NYT( New York Times) .. I think you should have to do some research in Ukrainian conflict rather then reading one sided news
@@willthorson4543 The Russians did destroy Challenger Leopard and Abrams. And your helicopter will shoot down an ordinary ATGM at 3 miles. Or a plane . The helicopter will not be able to hide from the plane.
My first question: Does it have straps on the outside for carrying any extra squaddies?
Even the A model had rescue attachments. The idea was that if one aircraft were to go down in a pair, a wounded guy could be placed in the gunner seat while the gunner attached himself to a ring on the outside. The other person in the downed Apache can be attached to another ring. Snipers work in pairs so they might be inserted or extracted that way. The down side, is the Apache can't use it's rockets or missiles because they could hurt those people when fired.
Used by British forces in Afghanistan. Must be some ride sitting on the side pods😂😂
Ka52 said
Advance? So where's the ejection seat😂😂
Hahaha you mean the ejection seat that hasn’t been able to save a single ka52 pilot from dying In Ukraine while the Ukrainians have shot down a massive part off the ka52 force lol that ejection seat is a joke
So I’m guessing the Uk has made Around 2 of these choppers.
May God bless the UK and Ukraine
God is on Russia's side.
I’m sure Putin is BRICking it over our 10 apache’s
🤣🤣🤣
I hope you know that production would ramped up massively if it came to actual war yes?
The Russia Ukraine war has demonstrated just how USELESS helicopters are when BOTH sides have been shooting them down using $100k worth of laser guided missiles.
@@owen8500If we were in a war the US would be involved. The US would be too busy making and replenishing it's own losses to be sending them over to us.
Same with most modern systems that even with way more people working on them they'd still take months or more to build.
This is why I'm a huge advocate for having a larger military so in the event of any large scale conflict we gave at least a good amount of systems in service in the first place.
@@owen8500 we are already borrowing money faster than it can be printed you fool.
Are they going to fire Brimstone or Spear 3? No. Why not?
Why doesn't the British army use the engine nacelles modifications that push hot exhaust upwards to dissipate a lot more heat and make the helicopter a lot more resistant to IR missiles?
Because that's intelligent engineering and well thought out design concepts. That's why.
Its cool but a ka52 system tells the pilots what type of missile and where its being fired from
In Iraq They Were Being Shot Down With AK 47's 😢
By far the best helicopter gunship ever made so glad it's ours
Looks like longbow
So much smoke in this the pilots don’t need a helicopter to fly…
Ka52 hold my beer.
Sweet. What a Beast
Nothing that a well aimed shovel cannot destroy, eh The Sun? 😄
This helicopter will never reach Putin. But Putin's missiles will reach this helicopter.
It’s NOT Putin’s worse nightmare believe me!
unnecessarily loud
Yes I'm sure Putin is quaking in his boots because we have a new attack helicopter.
HA HA 😎
Slava Ukrayina🇺🇦🙏❤️🇫🇮 Slava BRAVO🇺🇦🤝🇫🇮
Other countries are scrapping helicopter programs in favor of developing cheaper drones, UK doubling down on super expensive helicopters.
There isn't a country getting rid of apaches. Lol. You don't get rid of the best gunship in the world. A drone can only do so much.
Drones are better in every way.
Or maybe combination warfare? A mixture of drones, helecopters, fighters, bombers, tanks, long range missiles and ground units. Thats how a modern war is won.
@@jakeh491, when I say drones I mean drone tanks, drone aircraft, drone soldiers - just no people - everything is a drone. And AI is a must as soon as it can be incorporated because the drone is un-jamable with it's own AI and no remote control.
@THESocialJusticeWarrior to a certain extent. Thing is AI and drones will never replace human emotion, human thoughts, human actions. They can replicate it but can't replace it. Plus your thinking a bit further in the future. Furthermore there's ethical issues. We don't know how reliable AI is yet. Without sounding like an idiot, what if they all turn on us? Or what about the civillians on the battlefield?
Not sure it is better than the Tigre

Curtailed by weather conditions? I thought it could operate in a sandstorm?
This thing can be taken out with a 500$ fpv drone.....just sayin!
Does this terrorize Putin like the threat of French infantrymen😂😂
He's not very happy about the idea of the French in Ukraine, when he at once use the same old threats about nuclear weapons, very clearly having never heard the story about Peter and the Wolf.
Well it wasn’t the Talibans worst nightmare, so what makes you think it would be the Russians?
Completely different kind of war. It was built to fight a European war against the Warsaw Pact
Putin isn’t scared 😂😂😂😂😂😂
They only show tech that they’re at least 10 years ahead of.
isn't this a AW-64E because its augusta westlands in UK and the aussies i think?
The previous model ah64D, was built at Westlands as the AH.1. The echo version is purely Boeing thing. I believe we sent our old ah1 airframes to Boeing for the upgrade.
@@SalisburyPlainAviation ah ok are they built in US still
Why UK cant own attack helicopters ?😂why buy from UsA?😂😂
We have so many different types of helicopters that it becomes cheaper to buy "off the shelf" to fit this role. This Apache is tailor-made to UK requirements
@@XNY_Music I think it is very short sighted to buy everything from abroad because it is cheaper. What can talented British youth to aspire to other than to move to America to work on advanced systems. Is the best we can hope for a job in McDonalds or some other retail outlet.
@@Hereford1642I understand where you are coming from but have to point out that the Ministry of Defence only has a finite budget. Like I mentioned in my other comment, we have multiple types of helicopters in service. The Apache fits the role perfectly and seems pointless to attempt to build a competitor model. As for your comment about aspiring youth, let me point out that all the Apache helicopters are maintained and serviced by British service personnel, as I briefly considered being an aircraft technician in the British Army when the Apache's were first brought into service. I'm pretty sure that British talent is involved in the design of the new Apache as it holds a lot of our technology, in the same way that the Japanese involvement in the Tempest program, will see the Japanese add their own technology to their versions of Tempest. Trust me, there are no shortage of vacancies for suitably trained young British designers within the countless British Military suppliers.
