I received an email from Argento today. He was watching his Rolex and noted that he was fed late and as a result promises to run into any open stall and steal a mouthful of grain on his way to his own stall. He is a sweet guy but you know that he tends to hold a grudge when it comes to his stomach. What a workday. Great job.
I still say Petey needs his own TH-cam channel. He is definitely one of the fan favorites. Whatever content he would put out, I would watch and I'm sure lots of others would too. Not to take anything away from your channel though Joel, because you do an excellent job. You had a long hard day today and handled it like a champ as always
Petey could probably do a great job talking about historical tractors and farm implements; comparing them to the most current models when they are available (and any interesting facts about the updates - like airplanes get major changes after they realize better ways to keep accidents from happening from the NTSB). I think it would be interesting to see all the different types of new farm equipment out there. Even cooler if Petey took a field trip to the port where New Holland brings their equipment off the RoRos (Ride On, Ride Off - they are pretty ships most of the time) so you can see all the different pieces. I know a lot of construction equipment comes into the Baltimore port, but I don't know which port New Holland sends their equipment by ship to be distributed from.
Hi, Thank you for todays video. I am a subscriber to your channel as well as the veggie boys. I seldom comment beyond thank you.. but today.. you knocked it out of the park... tremendous content.. extremely informative and entertaining. .. loved it
Joel, I just want to follow up a previous comment I made. I’m still very much enjoying the various camera angles and placements. It gives us a much fuller perspective and makes for more exciting viewing. You and Gavin have really upped your game and you’re both doing a great job with the videos.
Another great video, yes Joel we are still watching and every time we see the Hose Quick Disconnects we sent you, my wife and I comment about your still using them. We are glad they have worked out for you. Randy and Kayla
As someone that uses the quick connects I am super grateful for them. Thanks for introducing them to the farm!! Sampson and Tuck often like to hang out in the deep mud so I use them often when connecting the bath hose😊
Hello 👋 Pete! Joel and the Viewers are so Blessed 🙏 to have Extra pair of Hands on Farm. There is always someone New helping and Regulars, Pete & Gavin. 👍🙏
Always nice to see everyone working hard and together, also good to see Pete. I gotta say "when it comes to hay, Joel is a superstar" Take care everyone and thanks for the video.
I think you are awesome! You are such a hard worker, and you are so considerate of the veggie boys. You work so hard that you don't even take time for lunch! Love seeing the horses come in, and the donkeys were so cute. Well done, Joel ( and Gavin if you were editing) always love seeing Brian, Matthew, and Daniel, Andrew and Pete..just love this family
I paused at the 28:29 mark to post this comment. Gavin is an amazing video editor!!! He doesn't get enough credit for the hours and hours of watching, rewatching, cutting, transitioning, the time and computer consuming rendering, the re-watching (and possibly more editing and re-rendering) and the timing required to submit a video at just right the right time to get "The Platform" to make it show up in your faithful follower's feed at the expected time. He is also very articulate and "on point" when he has the camera in his hand pointed at his face! A work ethic that goes from shoveling dung to weed-eating, then to all that cool editing? An exemplary employee, indeed! That is no fool behind the "Donkey Dance"! Bravo Gavin! Well played, sir! 🤠
Joel I loved this video. I found myself getting so excited over the number of bales. Great seeing how excited you were getting. You all work so well together. So awesome of Petey to help. Always nice seeing him. He is so happy all the time.
You have a wonderful family Joel and love to see Pete such a fun lovely helpful friend. A great days work well done you. Please take care your hearing is a great blessing we hope it lasts a life time.
I love your commentary while you were riding in the tractor! I also enjoy hay season and seeing the result of fertilizer. I love riding on the trails and saying wow the horses are going to love that hay😂. Great job Joel and family! My favorite part was probably when you said you needed to slow down because you had too much on your mind. I often need to tell myself the same thing and have a little reset! Super exciting iting start to the hay season
Just a little hint. The time to protect your ears is now before your hearing is too harmed . Hearing aides do work and it is great we can get them, but they are far from perfect. Love the show.
Hi JOEL, GAVIN, and PETEY❤. This video is next level! I’ll keep this brief😊. A longer video, Oh Yeah!! Every single moment Was Awesome❤❤. I can’t thank you enough for all your hard work and sharing your days with us. 😎🤩😍
Joel busy day👏👏👏👏👏👏 Have to say the ingenuity of the machinery required to harvest and bale hay AND the manpower is amazing. Long day by everyone involved. Petey ❤. Fantastic video 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Love from the UK x
I’m amazed that in the time I’ve been watching (2 years) this is the first time I’ve seen this kind of miscommunication on scheduling who does what and when. Someone has great management skills.
I agree. With the number of people working, it's amazing we never saw it happen before. Joel you should take some protein bars in the back of your tractors in case you miss lunch.
Here's the theory I I told my grandpa during wheat harvest in the early 70's before I was 10 years old. MURPHY WAS A FARMER. Nobody knew what I was talking about 😂, there weren't any Murphys in the community. And I was exasperated, Murphy's Law!! Anything that can go wrong will. They're behind because he had to work on the rake, and search for the camera.
I must say watching you all doing hay bails brings back memories from when I was helping out on a farm 16years ago. I enjoy all your videos especially love seeing Pete and how patinate he is about everything. I do have a question though What happens if the skunk gets into the donkey pen? Do the donkeys defend the area? Sorry that was two questions haha.
I helped a neighbor bale small squares for a few years. His dad drove baler with a bale thrower. He hauled and unloaded. I stacked in the mow. We must have done 6 maybe 8 loades every day it was fit. I only remember 1 breakdown and no i never had a chance to loosen those bolts. 😂
Last year you didn't mark them for horse's or cow's. 😁 that's what you kept cutting them open to see. 😁 So 60 inch round bale can be 1,500 pounds? This is good to know, I've bought round bales in the past that the farmer would say was a 1 ton bale (dry alfalfa).
Awesome video day! Thanks for the breakdown and video views. What a day! Crunch time one or two days makes for easier times later in the year it looks like.
Did you have a lot of coffee or soda? Wow that was fast and very stressful . Take your lunch break and chill for a little bit. Your channel is usually nice and easy and relaxing 😊
I actually enjoyed the reality of working a farm and the stress of coming through on your responsibilities. Life can get a bit hectic when people are relying on you. But I do appreciate Joel's normally relaxed casual personality. Just putting a different perspective out there😊
That's a very long day Joel. Hope you got some food somewhere along the way. Great to see how your family works so good together, all for the common cause. 😊❤❤
I have a theory about rain and hay. When you cut hay it starts realeasing moisture into the air. The air will only hold so much moisture so it rains just before the hay is dry enough to bale. 😊
Hi Joel. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge, hard work, and hopes at and for the stable. I was wondering was that a wound on Honey's shoulder or mud? I hope she has friends in the herd. She is just so sweet.
You need a lunch bag. I have a small rectangle one that has built in freezer packs. I put in freezer overnight. Perfect for sandwich or two, a coke, cookie etc. I also have a cold water bottle in there. I always take it when I run to town for errands with two waters and a coke. I think I got it at staples. ❤
Always love watching the videos. Again, it puts a smile on my face to see how giddy you are when the hay crops are coming in so nicely. And when you stick your nose in the hay, I can almost smell it too! My career was as an industrial electrician but, I got my start with a rural, small family owned outfit that did plumbing, electrical, sold milking systems and dairy and farm supplies. So, I had the opportunity to experience all the aromas of farm life back then on many of the service calls. And yes, the smell of fresh hay is very pleasing. Also, I actually don't mind the smell of natural cow and horse manure. It's that slurried, anaerobically stored manure that makes me want to wretch. Nevertheless, I wish you and all the Stable Life folks nothing but the best and it's also nice to see Petey pop in from time to time. --- Keith Oh, by the way, I think that's why Diego is such a rebel! He misses his original name. 😆
Amazing day, love the comraderie & excitement of the whole family’s teamwork! Don’t know where you find the concentration to run the video too. Kudos to Peter for becoming a valuable asset to the process at such a young age👍🏼 Take good care - stay hydrated & pack a snack or sandwich. Lowers the chance of accidents, especially as summer heats up in the coming weeks! Love keeping up with everyone 🐴
One of the main reasons I like watching the horses to get let in is to see if Argento is going to go to the correct stall, or if he's going to act like a mischievous kid and try to sneak into a different stall. True a few of the other horses will, but he seems like he's giving a smiling side eye when he does it, just like a kid. And I don't have a guess on the hay, but even I could see that there was a lot of hay on those fields you ted last hay video.
Wow that was a very busy video! It was all hands on deck! All The Veggie Boys and Pete and Joel. Wow!!! Gavin you are amazing with your editing skills! You are as important to this whole process as Joel is. Thank you everyone for a fantastic video. See you in the next one. Question of the day: Who is older: Andrew or Joel?
Joel, couldn't someone bring you a sandwich and a drink? Try to keep some sort of snack with you so you don't go so long without food. You work too hard not to keep food in your system. I enjoy seeing the hay being swirled around into a fat windrow. You men are amazing with the way you all work together. I never tire of watching the horses come in and go out. Argentina is funny. 😊😊😊
Thanks Gavin for weed eating the fence lines and tending the horses and donkeys. Family all get 💯present hard workers love the videos. Joel so true horses learn by training them and they learn .Don’t forget to water the horses Joel out in pasture’s. Beautiful scenery Joey awesome seeing the horses all out grazing in the pasture’s. You don’t take your time you could break something that will cost money to fix. Could be coming back from lunch. Awesome cam videos.I can smell it but makes me sneeze allergic to hay pollen.Just three fields instead of round bales their square bales those two fields would fill the hay loaf with both hay and straw then the other fields will baled will fill our neighbors biggest barn and then some more.
Joel was for a long time but then it got to be too much with all the jobs Joel does along with taking the camera everywhere. Gavin took over and they make a great team!
Love the longer video. Thank you so much! Appreciate all the information you and The Veggie Boys share on your channel. How far along on the build for the 'Hay Barn are you? When will it be complete? Hope you can show us an update sometime soon!! Blessings on the whole family. 😊 💜
I fully realize that it’s going to vary between horse grass hay and alfalfa or clover, but I was wondering, roughly what are those round bales weigh.. OK you just answered that question. Thank you.
It is good that you can bale your hay. There are several hay fields near me . They make round bales, store them in a shed. Being in the south they use a water wheel to water the grass and cut a lot. Problem, they offer the hay for sale but it is sprayed with pesticides from fields adjoining the hay fields. Peanuts, cotton, field corn. Defoliant from cotton. Hopefully smart people realize that but they sure sell a lot of hay. I hate it when I am driving by and see the overspray. 😪
Love your channel! Thank you for sharing the stable life! Long time watcher, first time commenter. I do have a question: When you are standing in the barn at the gate looking out onto the big field, what is the purpose of the red bucket hanging on the left hand side of the outside wall?
I received an email from Argento today. He was watching his Rolex and noted that he was fed late and as a result promises to run into any open stall and steal a mouthful of grain on his way to his own stall. He is a sweet guy but you know that he tends to hold a grudge when it comes to his stomach. What a workday. Great job.

Pete is always at the right spot at the right time to be really helpful !!.. long day but very good production. Good job everyone.
I think Honey is really happy to be part of the Sunny Knoll family. She loves you, Joel. You are so good with all the animals!
Watching the horses come in is what got me hooked, now I’m subscribed. They’re such beautiful animals.

Really HaPpY for you guys!🎉
Always like seeing Matt in the videos.
You guys show a lot of love and care for them horses hope the owners appreciate that
Great video and yes the hay smells wonderful! Hello Gavin ( the guy not the horse)
That was a long and product full one. Ouff 😅 got through all the responsabilities on both farms
Something very mesmerizing about watching you wind row the hay. Very informative and interesting as always, Joel.
Your family rocks! Thank goodness for round bails! I love seeing the horses coming and going. They are so beautiful!
Joel I loved this video. I found myself getting so excited over the number of bales. Great seeing how excited you were getting. You all work so well together. So awesome of Petey to help. Always nice seeing him. He is so happy all the time.
IN 2 weeks we will be having our 2nd cut. Really great hay. We got 60 rounds from our first cut. I love hay time
You have a wonderful family Joel and love to see Pete such a fun lovely helpful friend. A great days work well done you. Please take care your hearing is a great blessing we hope it lasts a life time.
Pete is an American Ninja Warrior!
I love your commentary while you were riding in the tractor! I also enjoy hay season and seeing the result of fertilizer. I love riding on the trails and saying wow the horses are going to love that hay😂. Great job Joel and family! I have never seen you so stressed out, not only you have communicated that to us , you also passed ur stress to me! Now I need a break 😅
Joel. This video was awsum,, love the long one,,,,keep them coming,,,hi peatie.
Just a little hint. The time to protect your ears is now before your hearing is too harmed . Hearing aides do work and it is great we can get them, but they are far from perfect. Love the show.
Such good advice. I just got my new hearing aids today and they are amazing but I’d prefer the original quality hearing.
Great video!
I do miss hearing "Iiiiii'm Petey" :)
HAY BALE guess: 119 bales. I am watching 10:35 minutes into the video on Friday, June 8th at 1:10 AM.
P.s. I enjoy the q & a ending the videos. Thanks. 😊😊😊
Love it too when Pete is part of the video!
Just like laying an egg !
You are a hard working man Joel! May God continue to bless you😊

Good deeds are so important in what ever form it takes.
Another amazing episode. Looking forward to the next one. Thanks for sharing
You are so lucky to get all that baling done -- we are waiting -- our land is so wet -- though the grass is ready
Coming from veggie boys channel.
Watching from kenya
Great video, Joel. Nice to see Peter and Michael.
They must trust you completely Joel. This whole day is on you
Hope you get a excellent 2nd and 3rd cutting and end up with a nice surplus this year 👍 you guys deserved it
Here on Northern Delaware, just over the PA line, we have grass that’s easily 4 ft tall. Looks like a good first cutting here.
I love watching veggies boys and your videos
Great video Joel it was exceptionally entertaining today. Seemed a bit longer of a video which makes a very good watch.
A hard day's work & big accomplishment. Nice job Joel, Working & videoing . And as always you, Gavin & Pete make it entertaining! Have a good weekend.
Hi Pete, Joel and the entire group. Great job. Marshmallow running a new Olympic event. 😂
Extra good video Interesting- Beautiful- Horses- Hay. I guess you need to pack a lunch some days

Loved the whole vid
Where would the horses be? They could have been partying with the cows!
You are doing fine, Joel. I’m praying for you retroactively. God bless
By the time you come down it will be 2nd cutting lol
Fresh hay smell….i know it well!! 😊

30:17 Lol. I used to have a Fitbit. I’m a sign language interpreter, and my Fitbit would count it as steps when I was signing. 🤷🏻♀️ 😆
😂 hilarious
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💪💪
Amazing day, love the comraderie & excitement of the whole family’s teamwork! Don’t know where you find the concentration to run the video too. Hello Joel, sorry can't enjoy the smell of the hay bales with you, I can't stop sneezing all over the hay bales, achoo!! Haha🙂🇨🇦
One of the main reasons I like watching the horses to get let in is to see if Argento is going to go to the correct stall, or if he's going to act like a mischievous kid and try to sneak into a different stall.
Love the questions of the day
Joel, the question of the day.... have any of the horses been sprayed by a skunk? If so, do you try and treat them so the stable doesn't stink?
I drove a ford tractor with cab and pulled a Darf rake
What a busy day. Good work
Thanks Gavin for weed eating the fence lines and tending the horses and donkeys.
Family all get 💯present hard workers love the videos. Joel so true horses learn by training them and they learn .Don’t forget to water the horses Joel out in pasture’s.
Beautiful scenery Joey awesome seeing the horses all out grazing in the pasture’s.
Hope you get quite a lot of hay for horse’s this year.Joel don’t stress yourself out they know your racking hay and probably have a break down they understand take your time .
Wait…Gavin is the Editor for this channel? I thought Joel was. Did I miss something?
Joel was for a long time but then it got to be too much with all the jobs Joel does along with taking the camera everywhere. Gavin took over and they make a great team!
Love a long video. Thanks Joel. Love also seeing Matt, miss him not been in videos even by the Veggie boys.
beauteous
130 bales @ 9:11 p.m. Thursday June 6th
I really enjoyed the video Joel, thank you very much. I like to see the workings of the various aspects of your work. Very interesting!
always good to see Petey
Which horse has lived in the barn the longest? Has he always had the same stall
Total bales including previous 95..i am guessing 311, timestamp 1032
Love the longer video. Thank you so much! Appreciate all the information you and The Veggie Boys share on your channel. How far along on the build for the 'Hay Barn are you? When will it be complete? Hope you can show us an update sometime soon!! Blessings on the whole family. 😊 💜
