- One of the most influential signings Everton ever made, Gray joined the club in November 1983 from Wolves.
Gray scored in the 2-0 FA Cup final win over Watford in 1984 and he also netted another vital goal a year later when Everton beat Rapid Vienna 3-1 in Rotterdam to win the European Cup Winners Cup a year later, just weeks after the league title had been secured. - กีฬา
As a Liverpool fan I very much admire the Everton side between 84-87. Played some fantastic football and made Merseyside the number one footballing city sharing trophies with Liverpool during this period.

One of the bravest strikers ever. Gray would put his head where most players wouldn´t put their feet! Puts modern day forwards to shame.
He was so brave and fearless. Remember when he came into the team in 83-84, and Reidy got back in the team after injury. Everything just clicked after that. What a partnership with Sharpy, great memories.
What a signing Andy was,probably left Everton to early...a true legend of ever there was one....thanks for the great memories Andy.

I'd like to know why he left Everton. He had a bad knack for leaving club's just before they became very good. The tragedy being, these clubs had come good like Villa, and Everton on the back of his prodigious efforts up front. A really good, hard, and rather fast player.

He left cuz Lineker was coming and threatened his appearances, he should have stayed and ended his career at Everton, Lineker was only there a season and the fans adored Andy Gray, he defo should have stayed, it was a shame the fans hated it when he left.....a true EFC Legend.......

Gutted when he left. Regard Gray a great Everton player in his short time ,I see him on television and see him as a true blue. Lineker scored goals ,but to me he is just a player that passed through ,never see him a a blue.
@@bluecab9060 I remember Lineker more of Leicester City player, like John Barnes as Watford City player, Chris Waddle as New Castle United player. It's when these three players playing at their former clubs that led them called for England squad.
Kendal made a big mistake not keeping Andy His influence cost Everton the 86 season when they needed a leader
He should never have gone to villa and hung on in there when Lineker came , just a season and he’d be back in the starting lineup , worst period of his career that last spell at villa replacing Rideout who went to Italy , he could have had another championship medal with us in 87 and ended his career a blue

I have dismissed him as an Everton legend after his shenanigans pretending to want the managers job, just to get a pay rise from the SKY vermin! Not to mention his pro-Dark Side leanings! Got Inchy in my XI. More prolific goal scorer and loved Everton!
