Bought the OUTline gtx from Salomon. After a month the sole was completly destroyed... Talked to them, they said it was normal. Never buying salomon again!
I am curious as to why I always hear this disclaimer that Merrell Moab's are somehow not a serious shoe like the "more rugged options out there"? In what sense? They are literally every bit as good and capable. Maybe slightly less durable and slightly heavier but as far as comfort, grip, protection, options etc go they check all the boxes and are probably one of thee most comfortable shoes ever created. Honestly I think people just snub them because they look kind of plain and old fashioned and are less expensive. They are probably one of the most tried and proven shoes and people still just consider them an entry level shoe. Not the case. Moab's are one of the best hiking shoes, period.
Why is Adidas the only brand that makes hiking shoes that look good? These shoes have great technology, but god are they ugly. They don't seem to understand the concept of form meets function. I've wanted a pair of Keens, but can't bring myself to put those monstrosities on my feet. I'll stick with Terrex R2 GTX.
@@venictos I play disc golf so I see them all the time. Make the toe bumper smaller and a few tweaks here and there and they would be alright. They look like a hiking shoe from 1992.

I have the Salomon X Ultra 2's, and am definitely gonna just upgrade to the 3's once they wear out

Keens actually look good in person. I'm like you, I like some style, but trust me when I say the Keens are a timeless look.
