    Hi,
I love your videos ! You make them so interesting to watch and they are answering so many of my questions.
But I still have others that are unanswered.
I'm currently studying Computer Science in France (Master degree) and I am thinking about moving to Taiwan in the future.
    - Would it be easy to find a job in this field in Taiwan?
    - How high would the salary be for a Software Developper ? Would it be around 60k-120k TWD?
    - Which websites should I use to find a job?
Thanks for any of you who will answer my questions.

I will soon start working in Taiwan as a scientist. I found the job because there was an international offer for the position. Requires having a Ph.D. though, and a track record of scientific publications - as many jobs in science do. The pay would be around those of what you mention for an engineer.

Top jobs for foreigners in Taiwan according to my own observation
    1. Engineering is the highest paying and most stable job. Generally 60k ~ 120k TSMC for example pays a lot.
    2. Language teachers. 60k
    3. Marketing / Sales. 45k
    4. Translators - between Chinese & English pay peanuts whereas between Chinese & obscure language pay a lot more.
    5. Teachers of a particular skill such as fitness, music, yoga, etc.
    6. Pastors, priests, monks
    7. Business person - it's a lot easier to start own business in Taiwan than US, but it takes many years to plan due to cultural difference and language barrier, etc.
    8. Technical writer - A friend of mine says this pays around $80k. It should be higher but I put it 8th because it is relatively rare.
    9. Administrative - this pays at least $50k. They are mostly Japanese or Korean.
    10. Paralegal - this pays around 50k - 60k

WonderRobin Thank you! I'm not sure. You might be able to. It probably depends on what you're studying, the language you're studying it in etc... Maybe call the university you're planning on studying at and ask them. It might vary from university to university. I have made a video about studying in Taiwan, but maybe I can make a more in depth one. th-cam.com/video/q5tIo6CFwT4/w-d-xo.html

This video comes at a pretty interesting time for me. I'm currently struggling to find work as a chemical engineer in australia. I am also learning mandarin (for various reasons) and know the basics. Does anyone know if it would be easier to find work in Taiwan, or what my chances are in general of pursuing chemcial engineering in Taiwan would be?

    • @Luther84695
      @Luther84695 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

It seems that engineering jobs in Australia would be hard to find. I have never heard of Australia doing anything technical. Anyways. Chemical engineering in Taiwan is nonexistence sorry to say. You could make a transition to semiconductor and companies can train you. However, chemical engineering jobs are all in Japan. Taiwanese with a chemical engineering degree usually end up overseas like in Japan.
