Perturabo, despite being genuinely insufferable to be around, had a really close bond to Magnus, as they were bonding over being giant nerds for their respective field. Their relationship is explored in Magnus the Red: Master of Prospero which shows us a Perty who, for once, got to do something he actually wanted, being actually appreciated for it and had the company of probably his most cherished brother. Perty also was cursed with seeing the Eye of Terror all the time, even when sleeping, and feeling eternally observed and judged by it, which probably didn't do his psyche any favors. Once, he asked Ferrus Manus if he, with his silver eyes, could also see it, which the former took as an implication of a flaw or a weakness in him and, consequently, reacted harshly to this moment of vulnerability of Perty, who then turned and basically said "Never again". Oh, and there's also the time when Fulgrim asked him to build a theater on a world recently leveled by the Iron Warrior just so he might graciously share his grand plan with Perty and his legion, after which they left, which kicks of the events in Angel Exterminatus.
Perturabo is one of the most inconsistently written Primarchs. Hey Canadian here, really enjoying your podcast/youtube channel on 40K, you both have very engaging and interesting conversations! Just want to clear something up, Canada and the UK were not one and the same up until 1982, I understand why you might think that. We didn't have our own constitution until 1982, we used British law and tradition to settle judicial issues at the federal level. It would be more accurate to say Canada got more and more independence in a series of stages over the decades, and 1982 was the last stage for constitutional matters. Hope that clears things up! Sorry for the speech, thank you both for all of your interesting content and conversations! Keep up the good discussions!

Id just like to say, the entire appeal of the iron warriors to me is just how they represent the modern male experience so well. If you dare show weakness in times of trial, you are deemed weak. Nowadays this is sorta breaking down, but the societal expectations for men to play the stoic type is still wildly common pretty much everywhere regardless of social norms changing. The iron warriors are in the same boat. They took on trials no one wanted, and in doing so had to continue being stoic when in reality they needed to show weakness.
Good afternoon, isyander and koda i was wondering if you guys will do another warframe episode even though these warhammer video's do SUPER WELL (Also, i would love to hear you guys talk about destiny lore)
Agreed would love to hear them talk more about other things then warhammer. Love the warhammer stuff but to see their takes on other genre would be wonderful to hear plus there so much more out there then just warhammer it'd be a shame not to give it a double over.
Edgieness aside, the Iron Warriors are probably the most relatable space marines. We’ve all had to put up with bs but there isn’t always someone to vent to or talk to about it so we just have to bottle it for a bit. But obviously not to the Iron Warrior’s degree, it’s their whole personality.
I would love to see just how much BS Isyander has to go through for an Ultramarines episode. Can't wait for it to be 3 hours of JUST named characters if/when the episode happens lol.
Honestly the main reason I like Peter Turbo is because how frighteningly competent he is. He is essentially the personification of industrial efficiency, and does whatever it takes to get the job done with no regards to how pretty or clean the methods are and while I do not agree with his methods or his personality, I do respect his competency.
Just fyi, Flatland was mainly written as a satire of the Victorian era class system. It did throw in the geometry for fun, but also as a metaphor for how people can look down on beliefs they believe are silly while simultaneously upholding beliefs which suffer the same flaws (how the sphere thought it would be ridiculous for there to be 4 or more dimensions).
I'm just going to admit this. After hearing about Perturabo fall, I'm going to ask for help more. As much as I want to be Iron within and Iron without, I'm not going to let the workload crush me in silence. I'll try making an ask for help quota of 5 times a week and expand that every month. I'm writing this here so I feel as if I'm truly declaring this.
Perterabo's gift is less he understands how the thing works and more he sees how to break it completely. To know how to break something in the best way is to also know its weakness and be able to build it better.
"The reward for work done well is more work" sums up the fall of the iron warriors pretty accurately.

This is the my weekly crack at this point.
I'm voting for the blood angels but I would love to see an episode on the night lords
Yes
Agreed
Yes
Yes
Both Isyander & Koda and Lutin in a single day. How spoiled are we, just like the Ultramarines, which is my vote.
At 31:06, I did know thanks to that great video Oversimplified did!!
Also I’d like to see a deep dive into the battles on Armageddon and Helsreach
Ive been bingin, so imagine lil ol me's joy when i get the treat of of hearing talks of one of my favourite legions.
I mean...uh...do NOT disappoint me
I'd love to see your takes on the Raven Guard but if I can't have them then the Blood angels over the smurfs any day. Robotnik Gazpacho has enough stories already
Hey remember that time Perturabo dug a big ditch and told Dorn he couldn't fill it with the bodies of his own dead?
And Dorn said f**k you, I'll fill it so full I can walk across the bodies, kick down the door to your house, and punch that smirk off your face?
And he did, except Perturabo wasn't in there and the house was a bomb?
I'd love to see the Blood Angels covered; playing them in 40k Dawn of War was my first experience with 40k
Hear, hear!
If you mean the campaign, then that's actually not the blood angels, but the Blood Ravens. The Blood Ravens is a chapter created for the dawn of war games
Ah ok. Fair enough. I still want the blood angels to win, cause they're fascinating and having the blood rage is so metal to just pass up talking about
Hey Canadian here, really enjoying your podcast/youtube channel on 40K, you both have very engaging and interesting conversations!
I vote for the boys in blue. Go ultramarines- Oz the Book Burgling Guardsman
my vote us for the blueberry wonders. I know it'd probably be a 2 hour episode but it'd still be great to watch.
I'd like to hear Koda do an episode on Monster Hunter. I heard him mention it in a previous episode and he got a bit excited. 😂
I too would like a MH video and why hammer is the best main 😆
if Big E had shown some appreciation, then Peter turbo would have been one of the greatest assets of the Imperium.
I am very curious, would yall consider covering SCP content? It feels like it might be right up yalls wheel house with grim (maybe not grim dark) eldrich horror. Also I love yall so much you are my new favorite channel. I've been binge watching your videos. I loooove the long-form, podcast like content. Also, yall could absolutely do a podcast too.
You from The Exploring series
@@ezonplays2260 I love the exploring series but no funnily enough this channel popped up cause I was binging 40k content, lol.
That would be pretty awesome
I lost interest in the SCP-verse when folks kept sending in their silly SCP entries.
I went back to some of your videos and shorts and I have been sieging for over two months
The blood angels deserve an episode now
It's there time !!
For the Great Angel, may his memory be eternal. Blood Angels!
And more Canada 😂
It sounds like something I heard a while ago "good workers are not rewarded, just punished with more work"
Good afternoon, isyander and koda i was wondering if you guys will do another warframe episode even though these warhammer video's do SUPER WELL
(Also, i would love to hear you guys talk about destiny lore)
Agreed would love to hear them talk more about other things then warhammer. Love the warhammer stuff but to see their takes on other genre would be wonderful to hear plus there so much more out there then just warhammer it'd be a shame not to give it a double over.
Edgieness aside, the Iron Warriors are probably the most relatable space marines. We’ve all had to put up with bs but there isn’t always someone to vent to or talk to about it so we just have to bottle it for a bit. But obviously not to the Iron Warrior’s degree, it’s their whole personality.
I vote for the Boys in Blue
if anything just to here Isyander read out all the named characters, queue a part two ep. of just names
Just got the patreon, so excited for twice the episodes! Absolutely love listening during slow days in work :)
Also I vote blood angels because how does the black rage work does Dante have it?
Yes and no
1 vote for Ultramarines. Would be interesting to hear about them from someone who doesn't actually, actively despise them for once.
Give us the blood angels! (I really wanna see the blood ravens lol)
Blood ravens (sadly) have an unknown Primarch. They might be Blood Angels, they might be Raven Guard, they might even be Imperial Fists.
Their primarch is trazyn
I'd love to see a section about the Servitors. Very very grim but love it.
Great Episode as always. I would like to see the Ultramarines, due to them being my first army. And i have much love for them
Bless you, Iskander and Koda, voices of the holy Emperor! I beseech you, please, speak upon the fury of the sons of noble Sanguinius!
For the sons of the blood. Blessed be those who claim lineage from the glorious golden hawk boy of the imperium.
Even in the votes, the iron warriors are always second.
17:45 ay thumbs up. very few people finish the sentence "i'm not an expert, ..." correctly, but you did.
I would love to see just how much BS Isyander has to go through for an Ultramarines episode. Can't wait for it to be 3 hours of JUST named characters if/when the episode happens lol.
An entire legion of named characters
turns out that what happened to the 2nd or 11th legions, they all became Named Ultramarines lol
I vote Blood Angels
Ayyyyyyyyy Canada episode!
I really like this idea, nobody should have to suffer in silence.
Props to putting yourself out there like this and I know you'll make it work!
-Isy
The F1 reference is amazing I didn’t know you were such a man of culture
Great video as always, my votes for next episode is Blood Angels
Perterabo's gift is less he understands how the thing works and more he sees how to break it completely. To know how to break something in the best way is to also know its weakness and be able to build it better.
Blood Angels! The Smurfs have enough fiction written about them that it probably outweighs any other small faction, they're talked of to death!
You posted a new one as I was binge watching old videos
The song Recipe For Hate by Clawfinger sums it up quite nicely 😆
