Fictional history that is more believable because it mimics IRL history - how many times has humanity avoided disaster by sheer chance... :) Great illustration of cool lore! The way you presented the info is what makes it all the more interesting and watchable.
Funny coincidence. I'm an immigrant in the United States, and my English name I've been telling my friends since I got here is also Jerry, named after the mouse in Tom & Jerry because my Zodiac animal is a mouse. So, in a way, I'm also an alien named Jerry 😂
That makes me happy that Jerry ended up being beloved in Human space when he was pretty much shunned by his own people, even though he did betray them, it does suck that they pretty much casted him out despite all the work he did to help bridge the gap between the two species. him making his home in Davian space among humans is pretty nice.
Please keep these lore video’s coming! I love the game (when it works properly 😂), but the lore is why I’ve stuck around. It helps me appreciate the vast ‘verse that is SC… thank you for being so dedicated to your craft!
Man i love these kinds of content, really cool story this one, i would love to see a full 30 min cinematic version of this made in the star engine, like they did that mini series The Reunion, i love the idea of seeing this all play out like a movie, because the story is really cool.
Nice video again. Makes me wonder how different Jerry's Defender was. At least 600 year old underlying design. But like you said, Banu don't see it that way. If it's best for their use, just build it and keep improving.
It reminds me a bit of the Haudenosaunee Native American/First Nations peoples set up in New England in the US, what a lot of us kind of erroneously refer to the name of the "Iroquois confederacy." It was a collection of several First Nations tribes that would all gather periodically to discuss matters that concerned all the tribes or even just a few, how they'd negotiate, how they'd resolve disputes, so its very similar, even if its on a drastically smaller scale and was also matriarchal to a small extent.
A Souli is basically a BIG FAMILY!! But instead of younglings taking chances of success out there in the vast world (or universe), they stay with their family and work with them!! Work on anything they're good at from building, industry, crafting, selling, paperwork,... EVERYTHING (Asian family structure on steroid)!! Each Souli were specific focus on one factor.. one "job" specifically, and any member will participate in that!! Ofcourse, there's are Banus who seek the chance else where, they will start there own Souli and start mastering their own aspect, but it kinda rare!! So.. A Souli is no different to ours Family concept!! They just use it more often!! Like a company is a Souli, a Goverment is a Souli, a group of traders is a Souli, and a collective of peoples is a Souli!! They just push the concept of Family to the limit since their Souli is mostly filled with their family members!!
Hi Paul. Really like the Video. At 05:53 you say "and become what are known as" twice It doesn't ruin the video but I thought you'd want to know Keep it up
Your voice audio also cuts out halfway through the word "comments" at 19:17. I'm not trying to nit pick. I really love your lore videos. The effort that goes into them is obvious.
I have a question, are there cybernetic augmentations done by humans or any other races, and (out of lore) have the dev teams mentioned anything about cybernetics (including cosmetics).
Yes there are cybernetic augmentations, some concept art of what looks like full body cyberization. Alien cybernetics isn't confirmed but there are even folks with cybernetics in game now.. The Mission Giver Twitch has cybernetic eyes.
@@TheAstroHistorian I am glad to hear that, maybe at some point when the game is more fleshed out, they will be able to add cybernetics (both functional and/or cosmetic) for players to use in the game.
We get so much information on the banu but id love to get more info on the Tevarin. A species without a home planet, living in and amongst humans. The banu are our neighbors but the Tevarin are US, there are Tevarin citizens in the UEE.
I feel like the Banu would not exist anymore if there was a war between UEE and the Banus because the are not even United and the would probably fall apart
Banu is well travelled and connected they could asked Xian or even vanduul for reinforcement, they maybe aren't politically United as humanity but their cohesion as whole species are much better than human race that only United under jackboot of dictator.

JERRY!!!!!!!!!!!
You mean :
Gary??
Gary!!?
Gaaaaarrrrryyyyyy!!!

Do you also work in a boring beaurocratic job drramong of being a pilot and enjoy eatting food wrappers?
@TheAstroHistorian no to the first part yet, but I do sometimes accidentally devour my Subway wrappers XD

we will never forget you, Jerry. you will always be and forever more, my Friend.

This is awesome! Soo much effort by you and rsi!
A happy first contact, this brings me into tears. This video deserves more views.
Dang Jerrys, all over the place. Great video my guy. Eagerly awaiting the next.
I love this channel so much keep up the good work 👍
The Banu suli family structure is very interesting. Are there any comparable structures in human society?
It reminds me a bit of the Haudenosaunee Native American/First Nations peoples set up in New England in the US, what a lot of us kind of erroneously refer to the name of the "Iroquois confederacy." @@nuclearsimian3281 in that sense it also reminds me of the māori iwi in nz

This is pretty much our best case scenario for IRL First Contact.🤞
This man needs more SUBSCRIBERS!

I love these stories.
I guess briefly years ago they had Vanduel heads during one event .

Can't go to Bar Citizens for some Banu gear so I'll console myself with some stories about Jerry
Thank you
hope there's a cool Jerry memorial somewhere to visit!
He's got a statue in the Banu Friendship Museum on Davien IV, his adopted home system.

10 banu sized vandul vs 10 banu sized tevarin who won, you decide?
Can you rework that in English that makes sense?
I like the part where the things happen
I want to see aliens in the game
Why donthe Banu remind me of watching Alien Mine?
JERRY!
Good Guy Jerry!
I feel like the Banu would not exist anymore if there was a war between UEE and the Banus because the are not even United and the would probably fall apart

So the Banu were bout money first.
But Banu make good human seat (probably not made of human)!
