Visuals that were Incorporated were such a great touch! well-placed and well executed! S/o Myre for the Croshaw VO. This was well worth the wait! o7 thanks Paul!
Hi Paul, really love your content and have been a follower for a couple of years. Would you consider putting this and other lore guides as a podcast or short story format? I don’t get a lot of time to watch these videos and would love to listen to them while driving or travelling. Sure I am not alone on this. Either way appreciate what you do and please keep up the great work.
Around this time, a new communication service became available. It was called: Spectrum. Eventually, a tyrant rose within it's ranks, mercilessly cutting down any dissent of RSI and making sure all those who participated towed the company line. None could jeopardize the success of RSI's efforts, he would make sure of it. It was his holy mission, his entire reason for being and the sum total of his existence. He would forever patrol the halls of Spectrum, staying vigilant for the slightest hint of heresy against his patron RSI. His name? Nightrider.
This is SOOOOO GOOD! Really entertaining! Thank you so much. I can't wait to see more. It's going to be nuts when all these systems are implemented into gameplay that we can go and explore if they don't get destroyed in later centuries.
Hearing about all these system discoveries, i really hope once the game is "out" (in 10 years) CIG wont announce new systems and its up players to find the jump points and whoever finds it gets to name it. Then people can mine there for abundant resources, orgs can build space stations and trading posts to provide amenaties and colonies. Which would promote NPCs to move their and over time CIG could update/expand NPC towns and outposts simulating a devolping system
Great presentation, Paul and those involved. A great pleasure to watch. It's disturbing that I've specifically had an eye on my feed for this and it only popped up 5 days late! Better late than never, but get your shit together, youtube!😆
good stuff. well done. I am loving your videos -- YT algorithm decided to wait until last night to finally recommend your channel. also, just so we're all on the same page "Rare Earth Elements" aren't rare.

Question. You say that the member countries remain sovereign after the formation of the UNE, but wouldn’t they have relinquished sovereignty to the single world government? How else would it have been different from our own UN?
question: is it ever established why the mutineers on the Stanley and following ships and the martian separatists did what they did? like, what issues did they take with the UNE that led them to revolt? there's a near endless pool of possible reasons, and i'm curious what (if any) the writers for this universe decided would be their story.
They did, literally a month after this video was made they elaborated on the Unification Wars in a Jump Point article. I plan on doing an in between episode after the next one to kind of fill in the gaps. The gist is that the crew of the Stanley, an American Warship, had 30% of it's crew, including the captain, resign in protest rather than pledge allegiance to the UNE, stating they remained loyal to the nation of Americano rather than the new government body. The replacements were from various nationalities of the UNE who were constantly butting heads with the majority American crew. There were rumors that the Americans were going to be split up and reassigned because of this friction which caused the majority of the crew to mutiny against the captain, refusing to be accomplices to "UNE tyranny" and making known their goals of orbitally bombing cities of Earth until Americano Sovereignty was restored, . While the Stanley was eventually recaptured the anti-UNE movement was too late to put back in the bottle. It was a desire to return individual control over the fate of the communities and states of Sol that was at the heart of the Unification Wars.
Not to be that guy, but SC uses the outter edge of the Kuiper belt, the Kuiper Cliff, to denote the size of the Sol System at 51 AU on the Starmap. Even though in game an AU is relative to the scale the game uses for size, it is still an AU at that scale, so there is no reason to believe that the Sol System isn't 51 of those AU for design purposes just like on the starmap and relative to other systems.
@@TheAstroHistorian I'm predictable LOL. I'm gonna use the Starmap because it's what we have and has been regularly updated over the years in many ways. If Sol was 5 AU, it would say 5 AU on the Starmap. And it would be insanely crowded if it was crammed into a system the size of Stanton.
What is with the long pauses in the recorded speech? Edit: Is it just me or is Roberts Space Industries basically the Jesus of space? Like NO other company does anything significant other than make a ship or two that the UEE used. Meanwhile Roberts Soace Industries discovered Quantum drives, made the first space faring ships, created terraformimg, funded or made like 90% of anything even remotly positive that has anything to do with space... I get that Chris Roberts is the driving force behind the game but wow, that is some serious narcissism goin on there my dude.
Is it me or does this guy kind of sound like Will Wheaton, Cause ever since listening to Will Wheaton read ready player one, That's all I'm hearing in this guy's voice now
I hate how star citizens lore is just an American jacking themselves off. It would be way nicer if starcitizen made more compelling lore that felt relatable both to the real world and to people from nations outside America that might otherwise feel excluded. A more realistic approach to a unified humanity (in my opinion) would be better. The capital of humanity being New York is just a dead idea that i can't really imagine anyone outside of America being pro on. Especially as it borrows much of its culture from other civilisations that have played a much greater part in the ideals that Americans uphold today and enforce on others. Canada joining America along with Mexico feels even more unrealistic. Especially as both Canada and Mexico have very different forms of governance. Too me a realistic lore would be The nations of Canzuk + the US become a single nation with its capital being London to celebrate their anglo heritage. At first America would be seperate but would later join the other anglo countries ie australia canada new zealand and uk as their populations expand. The US would adopt a parliamentary system while reserving the right to leave at anytime and revert to their old constitution if they felt hard done by. Later they would revoke this right as a sign of good faith and a promise of a greater future united by purpose. Inspired by the actions of the American people the Canzuk nations would agree to name the first exploratory ships after the founding fathers while adding stars to the Union Jack too forever remember how the USA put unity before Nationalism. Other nations could join this group via the common wealth. The nations of the EU would unite with their capital in Rome. Latin would be revived and a close relationship would be built with the canzuk nations but with great tension over culture and trade laws. An expansion of countries in Acean with Tokyo being the capital. They would take a neutral stance and act as the balance between the Canzukus and EU nations. This council of 3 would become the representatives of the UN creating laws and legislations while preserving their culture and the expansion of them to other planets. Too me this empowers other nations/countries while feeling like a more realistic approach to culture adding to compelling lore that would see more countries are represent involved.
Sir you know that the UN is headquartered in New York right? How is unrealistic that a nation built out of the framework of the UN would be located in the place where the UN is HQd? Also Tokyo being the capital of the Asian mega state? Are you high? China is much more politically and culturally important to Asia. Also Rome? Berlin or Paris both have more cultural impact. Besides the idea of a North American Trade Union has been floated even in our time. Like the EU something like thay can and will bring countries together. You say it's unrealistic because you don't like it. What you really mean is you don't like it and need a reason to say it's bad.
@@TheAstroHistorian Obviously I didn't like it and im hardly trying to hide that so what point are you failing to make? I don't get why you seem so offended/upset that I offered an alternative narrative. The idea of Canzuk is a politically established one and never seemed more likely. Britians left the EU and all anglo nations have come closer under pacts such as Aukus while still maintaining the same anglo heritage. America is in perpetual crisis and other countries distance as a result. In regards to my Rome idea Macron has said he'd like Latin be taught across the EU countries as most European languages are rooted in latin. Rome has had leaders from all major european countries offering common ground and shared history while also having the vatican/pope as a religious figure. If your implying that this hasn't had more cultural impact than Paris and Berlin then we must be smoking the same stuff or your knowledge on European culture/history is extremely lacking. Its also pretty ignorant to say China is culturally dominate. Economically and industrially yes but culturally not a chance. Not to mention their current global reputations is not exactly the best too put it mildly. I'm not the only person who isnt a fan. I've met peeps in game and in the many orgs I've joined over the years that thinks starcitizen lore isnt great and we are entitled to that opinion, which is why i voiced it. "Am i high" I was just spit balling ideas, who said they all have to be gold? "I say it's unrealistic" because of the many reasons it is. I also can use ur same argument against u and say the only reason your defending it is because u like it but I wont because its a hollow childish never ending argument. I thought a bit of engagement with an alternative view was allowed. Obviously I can see that's not the case so please allow me too apologies petal. I see now I was wrong and perhaps my wording got under your skin. I'm ever so sorry and I'll be extra sure to take a more delicate approach to conform to your way of thinking in the future xx 😘 P.s.i can't believe anyone would read a message this long

Man the initial speech really sets the mood
Bit under the weather and this format has been a blessing to listen to
Is it just me or has SC had a new surge in popularity again against all odds
It's not sc...it's space exploration in general and sc is the most uncommon among them...
Insane amount of work! This is so awesome!

As far as I know its, they have control over their own borders anything beyond that is relegated to UNE rule.
Got it, thanks!

so the hobbyist jumper with the French name basically answered "boring" in french ( nul) and this name stuck? lol
In summary ...
Strange anomaly, jump point
will there be a part 3 and more?
Yes

is there any update for #4?

Croshaw
i wonder when we can actually go to at least one of these systems in game.

No, I did not do the SC Lorecast

Isn't it the Cinderella Zone, rather than The Green Band?
Goldilocks, but in SC its called the green band because its a window of distance which they color in green.
@@TheAstroHistorian See, this is why I watch ( and subscribe to) your channel - every day is a cgool day, with the "nice" teacher!
Where is the 3rd one?
Being scored right now, took a little longer with the holidays and some other stuff. Should be out 2 weeks from when the music gets back.
something really funny about rsi prolonging something to the extreme in order to stay relevant…
Part 3?
Myre is Croshaw :) make it known
