That's probably what happened, like how it's a running gag at this point that CIG often makes ships bigger than their original concept. They've put this into the lore with how the UEE navy wanted a corvette, and Aegis built a frigate instead because frigates are bigger
This has become one of my absolute favorite ship designs currently in the game. I am really excited to see what they'll be doing with the E1 since I think that is where the Spirit gets to shine the most. Thanks for the great video Paul!
I love the a1, but the c1 seems to be the better money maker. However, I'm still leaning towards the RSI Zues CL, (& or) MR for my cargo & combat needs
Thanks Paul for another video on the list I can play in the background during long quantum jumps (always loved the narrated codex entries in Mass Effect). Tried a C1 during PTU: The sound of the engines when flying at speed in the black . . . . . hummanah! :)
Even when it is a manufacturer or ship I'm not into, your lore videos are still captivating! I'm definitely interested in the E1, so can't wait for that! Another great video! Thanks Paul! Looking forward to today's Lore Tour!😁
I'm curious where you found this much lore about the Spirit line of ships. It certainly isn't in the sales brochure. Speaking of which, CIG should add links to each ships lore into the sales page for each ship.
lore making me smile a sly ceo, that rekindled a passion for ship making, also props to the lore team for NOT ret-conning crusader to have always made fighters, i STILL think these ships should have been kruger ships instead of crusader.
I’m wondering what they will call the starter Crusader ship. The C0 and A0? You know they will do one so Crusaider can take advantage of starter game packages.
I love that they gave a developed story behind this ship, but I find it a little annoying that every ship seems to be released in real-time. As if nobody produced any new ships for hundreds of years, but in 2950 suddenly half of the ships on the market all appeared at once. It would be nice if they spread out the in-universe release dates for a lot of these ships.
Well most of the companies we know today didnt exist until about 200 years ago like Crusader, Origin and Anvil. Some others started out as something completly diffrent like Argo or Kruger. Last but not least some companies failed like Casse. The oldest we know today is RSI. Other ships like the Cutter are new Releases of ships already in Production. Basicly like a new model year or a facelift like with todays cars.
I have the A1. Let’s just say terrorizing scrap yards is fun. I’m waiting for my E1. I already have a cutlass. I have no need for the C1, but it is a beautiful ship.
@@connarcomstock161 I'd love a space version of the a10 warthog, not just because of the gun... that thing can take a beating and can carry a large amount of atgms and bombs, SC doesn't have something like that yet.
Where are the rugged, simple designs from Crusader? None of them are simple. Narrative using a 100+ year old chassis and putting it's development before the Ares is a nice cover for Crewe's snafu.
The lore of this feels like it could just be what the developers went through while making it lol. Love that they do this to add to the world building
It often reflects that I think.

@@TheAstroHistorianso… you think Chris Roberts may be called the Harbinger of doom?
Now I want to see a Spirit with a size 7 😁 Thank you, Paul, for another great video!
You have one, it's just everyone hates it.
I love it, there is just very little reason to take it out at the moment, lol @@TheAstroHistorian
@@TheAstroHistorian drop the bombs, add extra coolers and power and mount one size 7 under/in each wing root , so it's 2 size 7 guns on there
@@TheAstroHistorian The Inferno is fine, but the Ion should be a Disruptor.

I love your lore videos. You’re bringing the setting to life. For that you have my thanks.😊
I love these videos! A nice way to get lore info for SC!
Great appreciate this video. The F7C may be my favorite fighter, but the A1 has really stole my heart. Love it as a daily flyer
Thanks Paul for getting us the Lore!
I love how sleek the design of the spirit is.
Well done vid. Always informative and somehow pleasing.
i never understood why the c1 couldnt keep the tractor beam in the down position, and add a turret in the top position
Thanks Paul, good stuff
This is gold :) Thank You :)

Lors sells ships as well as FoMO! Great video.

I really do like the spirit. my C1 is finally in game appearently.
I own a C1...I didn't know all the lore I literally bought it because it looks cool. :D
E1 E1 E1 E1... great video as always!!! E1!!!
Waited a whole year to make the c1 my new daily flyer

If Genesis is the 747 then this is the 757. Capable of all the same jobs just in a more compact size and smaller payload.
I would equate the e1 more to a gulf stream or Lear, not a 57.
@@robertvohs1699scale wise the Gulfstream fits more with Origin’s lineup.
Brilliant

now I can't wait for my C1 designed by Caplan. CI is the best manufacturer in SC.
Only another day until it's flyable in the PU.
There needs to be a Spirit medical variant

And build a plane around- No wait that's the A-10...

Between this and the Squadron 42 trailer it looks like CIG has a hardon for corpofascist gender role inversion. Stunning and brave.

In lore the idea of Crusader is that they make simple to fix designs which can take a beating.
So it's based on spare parts of old and failed projects.
I guess that's why it's so bad....
No, its based on the frame of an outdated shuttle. But it ended up becoming completely separate to that shuttle.
Trolls lol
