Another Memory hook for the Apocrine Metaplasia - An Apo (apple) a day Keeps the Doctor Away
& for Phyllodes Tumor - Leaves Fall on the Oldies
- Leaves: Leaf-like projections
- Fall on the Oldies: Sounds like Phyllodes; Oldies tell you 40-50 y/o (post-menopausal).
Thanks again Dirty for another banger. You are the GOAT.
Nice
Thank you so much @Dirty Medicine! Breast pathology (in addition to other reproductive tumors) have been my weaknesses, but now I'm starting to really understand them! Without you and this channel I would continue to get every single question wrong in UW! 😄😂
Also, another way to remember Phyllodes tumor that I have used is: ChloroPHYLL are in Leaves and PHYLLodes tumors are leaf-like! 😊
As soon as i get into the residency and start making money, i'm donating. You are the lifesaver! thank you
Literally just in time. Thank you soooo much I needed this. Please make Lungs and Cardio patho too ❣
Thank you for a phenomenal video! I'm cramming and this is exactly what I needed today.
I only have one suggestion: what do you think about adding a summary slide at the end of each video with all your mnemonics and HY points for each pathology? I know you've added them to some of your videos but I think they'd really help when a quick reminder is needed of your clutch mnemonics and HY associations, no matter how packed that last slide may be. I love a good mind-map that ties everything together.
As always, thank you!!
Peau d'Orange is from french yeah! (i'm a french med student 🇫🇷) and you should pronounce it like "Po-do-rang-je".
Great channel, you help me a lot !
Omg exactly what I wished yesterday on your previous video. Thank you so much Dirty. You are an angel 👼
Your tumor differentiation videos have been some of the most useful for me in my STEP prep!! They are incredible!!

Great explanation,now I fully understand ...
Thank you so much❤
For phyllodes tumor- ChloroPHYLL in leaf.
And you know what I was supposed to read it tomorrow😀You are a saviour
Please upload all topics of pathology please please, your teaching method is awesome ❤️
Love your mnemonics!! Genius!!❤
Tyvm for this valuable video. I just wanted to add to the very aggressive form of IBC. Typically it presents as inflammation then orange peal skin but there is also a rare more aggressive IBC that interferes with blood flow to the breast tissue giving the breast a dusky/cyanotic appearance. In either case survival depends on immediate action.
You have taught me a lot. I appreciate. Great teacher
This topic always gives me goosebumps but it's now simplified! Thanks 🙏
Literally you are best, looking for more videos of pathology from you..
Thank you! Excellent video, helped me a lot!!!

The videos you make are just easy to understand and I’m not a medical student. I like how you share tips and tricks to help us memorize buzz words and you explain the meaning of words which I find as fun facts.
Great job keep up the good work!

7:01 cracked me up. This guy is gold.
Amazing you are boss 👍
you are a life saverrrr
Great video man, just an advice..peau d'orange is phonetically pronounced as: pö d'orönsh, cheers!
Great info. Would be even better if added treatment guidelines
He mentioned IBC always begins with chemotherapy. Reason- because it’s stage 3-4 when Dx and usually there’s lymph involvement. So staging stereotactic needle guided biopsy CT aggressive chemo radiation then surgery (recap) the important thing for all students to remember is this isn’t your garden variety where you can wait for lengthy test results-pt survival depends on quick decisive tx
Thank you dirty..
I got a question correct because of this video in my real deal.

Po doransh LOL! That is my best try at writing it in sound form.
Keep up the great content! any possibility for any great dirty mnemonics for teratogenic drugs and the features of the baby, can't seem to remember them and I trust you got some up your sleeve Dirty ;) (also having some troubles with HIV and the CNS infections and their different presentations)
It’s pronounced po (eau = o in french) it means skin so orange skin appearance but anyways thanks for the awesome vids they’ve been ridiculously helpful
As someone who knows French, you're close. It's just "poe dorange", if you were to say it out. Just means "orange-like skin"
Peux d’orange
Peau d'orange
It's pronounced Po (like in POlice) d'oh-REN (like in RENdez-vous) GE (like a G plus a Shhhh sound).
PO d-OH-REN-G-shhhh
its prononciated po dorong
