How you managed to WALK through this ships entirety without losing your mind is beyond me. Kudos to you kind Sir, my OCD thanks you for the time and effort put into this amazing video and series.
what's the point of all the space though? Mechanically it doesn't seem to have a true purpose, you'll walk around some of these rooms in the ship once and then after that you'll just be running through and ignoring them as you make your way to the cockpit for the rest of your playtime...they really need to add more or it's just meaningless
@@WiseOakDakota not even that, just a picture so we can at least have an idea, I’ve not been this addicted to and enjoyed a game this much in years, just hope they do a quality of life update for things like this
@@BioUmano sure, but it's just a bit disappointing that it's not useful apart from getting more storage space. Without true usefulness, most players will just be creating weird-looking ships and not really care much about their composition, which defeats the purpose and eventually people won't really craft ships anymore and just buy/steal them and be done with it
Thank you so much for this video. This is easily the best video for ship building as everyone always does the exterior and best weapons etc but you are the only 1 I found that did the interiors which is going to help so much in deciding how to design my ships. Thank you very very much 😁
Thank you for covering all of the manufacturer habs and other cockpits too. I've been having to jump between multiple different sources to see everything all at once. Can't wait for your next video!
Thankyou so much for these videos! It's really confusing why BGS didn't include a way to view the inside of ships or parts before buying them, but you've got us covered in great detail!
I have been hoping that someone would do something like this! I've been holding off and dreading that i would have to do it myself just to find out which manufacturer hab and module interior aesthetic i wanted for my ship. You're a legend and I can't wait till the other manufacturers.
Thank you for this series, and I know how difficult it can be to 1.) know what hab module you’re in and 2.) navigate it all, so everyone should really be impressed! You got my sub!
@@SpaceCoconut I have Premium 🙈 Which (hopefully) means you get the revenue like I have watched ads without watching them. At least thats how I unterstood Premium works
Can't say I like this a lot but this barebones industrial look may end up appealing to some people. However, I must admit that dark grey color scheme goes great with red lighting for something like battlestations or computer core. Great video, thank you for the effort!
Bless you. So many questions answererd - so much time saved. I was working on a video to do this but put it on hold until I got enough levels and skills to have access to everything. You just saved me so much time it's hard to fathom. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the interior layouts are the same and it's just the colors and little stuff that differ.
I noticed when I placed two portholes on either side of a hab or hallway that it removed what was in it entirely. When I took them off the unit had a nice little table and chairs. We REALLY need a interior preview feature
Honestly, the only thing I really like with the HopeTech stuff is the 2x2 Battlestations and the cockpits. The little side room at the start of the battlestations chapter probably would work really well with an attached ready room, in terms of design. Plus the submarine like consoles are neat. All the other bits and pieces look kinda cobbled together and/or run down, and I really dunno why they have anotehr brig in the armory - or whatever that little sideroom is supposed to be. Also wonder if anyone else dislikes the padded spine / corridor sections as much as I do... Thanks for uploading this btw, is saving a ton of time and effort going through all this stuff (again)!
Great job!! Thank you so much for actually doing seated cockpit view. Helped so much in picking out the best one as I like to fight in 1st person in ship
Great vid, perfectly useful. I wish there was a way to see the interior of a hab module before buying it directly in the ship designer... Last thing to do to be 100% complete is to review each of these modules with different accesses, because most of the times pathway to another module replaces something that would be there if it was a dead end. Such a long job :D
You're a god for going through all this trouble. I was hoping someone had, and was very pleasantly surprised when I came across this series. Why they couldn't give us some kind of interior preview, I don't understand. Let us build the ship, then walk through it as our character in some kind of closed hangar before confirming build and purchase. Hopefully someone will put together a mod to do this. It could be done as some sort of holodeck simulation.
I liked most of the HopeTech modules, nice mix of homely and practical design, I hated the armory at first because it was a armory/brig hybrid but it grew on me.
I noticed once you open the door you can’t close it back? Does it close if you bring a prisoner with you? can you even bring a prisoner with you? Lmao questions
Great vid, thanks for the work, but it looks like you forgot the captains quarters. If anyone is curious, if you leave the front left clear, no doors or windows, you get an espresso machine. If you leave the front clear, you get a cozy wrap-around couch with it.
I do wish Bethesda added an option when it took the skin off the habs so you could see the interior and what affect it had when placing the habs regarding doorways/staircases
Of all the interiors; the Hopetech reminds me way too much of some of the older naval submarines I've visited - a little more spacious, but the feel is still that of a submarine.
Thank you sir. Looking through the rooms i think what makes me made the most mad are the 2x1s that have a single chair in half of the compartment..... like . What?? Why are these not 1x1s if its so empty?. Also what is with a brig being IN the armory? Abd vice versa? Why we keeping our guns next to our criminals? Lol oh and the crew quarters was barren compared to the 2x1 all-in-one. But hey thank you for showing us the interiors. It definitely helps
Can't wait to see more. Also can't wait for a mod that will hopefully allow more items to rotate. Cause it's a bit annoying having all these different items and such to mess with but with how they are made they can only be set in a pre determined direction. Like cargo. Some goes on the back / front but others only to the side of a ship. Or the Habs basically locked to facing the front. Hopefully mods once they get some traction will blow starfield out of the water with customization.
Thanks so much for the video (and the upcoming series)! It's nice having and idea of what each hab is gonna look like before I add it to the ship. One ask I'd have is if you could denote fore and/or aft when entering a room. Kinda get turned around with all the walking inside each hab.
Imo the captains quarters from hopetech are the best of the bunch. Has a very cozy looking nook to sleep in and a big coffee machine nearby. Everything a captain needs and moar
We really need a video comparison for each hab type. Hopefully you start those soon. Like I know I want a living quarters I just want to see what they all look like.
Great tour, though it could go much, much slower. I watched it on 0.25x speed, and some details were still way too fleeting. Spaceship interiors are my favourite thing, and I like to see every single detail. Thanks so much for doing this!!
I absolutely adore the hope tech companionways, and habs, they are everything, I think am gunna build using all hope tech, then maybe a mix of stroud and deimos for cowling... build the skeleton, then furnish the flesh as it were, with the ds40.1 cock pit, just because its huge.
@@whatswiththisnewhandlesthing That's just for the cockpit though, if it were possible to have stairs around the ship it would make multi level ships more usable.
