    I'm really impressed, I've been checking your website thoroughly. I'm a Mavic 2 Pro owner and I was thinking to buy a Reach UAV RTK kit and an aditional Reach RS+ in order to do RTK photogrametry with CGP with a Reach RS+ as Base and another Reach RS+ (CGP) and Reach M+ (Mavic 2) as Rover. My questions are: 1. That RS+ base and 2 rover system (RS+ and M+) would work same time? 2. Is it possible to install that RTK system in my Mavic 2 Pro? If so, has been done or tested by your company before and how would it works, could I use same workflow as usual photogrametry with dronedeploy or pix4rd? Thank you very much for your feedback, I'm really interested in your products.

    Very interested! If you buy 2 receivers and use one as a base and one as a rover how long does it take to get a fix? I'd like to use it in my fence building business for marking out the fence but if it takes several minutes to get a fix on each new location it would be next to useless as it would just take way to much time.

      Hi,
      We recommend you to check the Reach RS2 Survey Kit for your fence building business: store.emlid.com/product/reachrs2-survey-kit/. Reach RS2 is a multi-band GNSS receiver that acquires fix in just a few seconds. Please note that the time might increase as it highly depends on conditions.

      Hi there, and thanks for your interest!
      ReachView 3 supports more than a thousand coordinate systems and has built-in support for grid and geoid transformations. You can smoothly set up a coordinate system for your country: docs.emlid.com/reachrs2/reachview-3/crs-setup.
      Localization and calibration features are not available at the moment, but these requests are already noted.
      P.S. If you can't find the coordinate system you need, please fill in this form: emlid.typeform.com/to/efWVaB3h. We will contact you once your desired system is added to the app :)

      Hi Simon. To achieve the centimeter-level accuracy you need two Reach units: one as a base station and another one as a rover. You can find more information about the Reach RS+ Survey Kit on our website: store.emlid.com/product/reachrs-survey-kit/

    • @Emlid

    Hi. If a single RS2 unit was mounted onto the roof of a vehicle and driven along a highway at 100kph in an area with CORS correction coverage; with SBAS; and with a clear view of the sky, what approximate level of accuracy could you expect to s.achieve using RTK and PPK modes? • @Emlid
      @Emlid  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Peter,
      The maximum update rate of RTK position on RS+ is 14 Hz, therefore, on such a speed, you'll get a solution only each 2 meters.

      Reach RS+ is an L1 receiver, so it needs a clear sky view without obstacles for the best performance. In regards to Reach RS2, it is able to maintain a reliable fix even in challenging conditions such as urban areas and trees canopy. We recently conducted forestry tests in Latvia with Reach RS2 and it held fix on high slopes in the forest.

      The problem isn't accuracy in urban areas as the article is testing. It's the fact that Reach RS is single frequency. This is the single limiting drawback to Reach RS. L1 signal bounces off everything, including tree leaves and buildings, so an urban environment can cause a loss of signal very easily, especially if the obstruction is to the south. If Emlid ever goes dual or triple frequency, it will probably be as capable as $35,000 units.

Constant issues, no turn on go, no UTM (or support for states CORS system), and these items on the forums always get the comment "they're on our roadmap". I have not been happy with this product at all.

      Hi Michael,
      All features and specs outlined on the landing page of Reach RS+ are finished and already on board. Reach indeed lacks some non-advertised features you mentioned and the work on them indeed is in progress as it takes time to implement it in the software.
      The thing is that you don't always need them in the field. And if you need, you can use a 3rd-party software. Reach integrates well with external land survey software for Windows and Android.
