      This is super helpful but are the 10 hour acting masterclasses videos such as tutorials and hints or is there also a place were I could learn it in person as well as the videos? If so, does anyone know any locations? 😇

    Question: how do you go about finding the song for your characters?

    • @TheActorsAcademy
      @TheActorsAcademy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      The song should be any song that works for the individual actor. One song that works for one actor may not work for another. In terms of searching for that song it’s up to you. More commonly than not, you’ll already have that right song on your phone you just have to search for it. If it’s not on your phone than you would have to search for it else where. This is the homework that falls on the actors due diligence. Hope that helps

    I have a random question: if you are asked to change your physical appearance drastically for a role (like cut your hair/change the color), and your hair has not grown back to the length/the color isn't exactly the same of your headshot, is it necessary to get new headshots? or will casting directors be more lenient because you changed your appearance for an acting specific role (as opposed to just for fun)?

    • @TheActorsAcademy
      @TheActorsAcademy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It all depends, if your headshot still relatively looks like you with only minor changes, than you’d normally be fine. If the difference is quite drastic and you notice it, I’d suggest getting another set up headshots, because when you get called into the room, they’re expecting you to look similar to your headshot.
      Casting directors won’t be able to know if you do it for fun or for a role unless they ask you for it and that opportunity won’t always be presented. So in short if it looks pretty different than get some new headshots if it still looks pretty similar with light changes, than you should be fine.
      P.S. consider asking your representation (if you have it) on their opinions, because they will ultimately submit you for the project.
      Hope this helps!

      @@brianbortz My uncle is an actor in Hollywood and NYC and a lot of the time he uses a headshot with a beard, regardless of whether he has one in real life at the time, just to show that he's capable of growing a beard. I don't know if that sort of thing applies in your situation (his facial hair grows pretty quick), but it could help for them to know you're capable of looking another way.

    I have a question,is that OK to be successful in some character and fail in other ,for example I did an audition for an action movie I failed I try my best to do the role but couldn't,and I did auditions for comedy and some drama movies I was successful,is that OK or an actor should be good in every role?

    • @TheActorsAcademy
      @TheActorsAcademy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, and this usually isn’t abnormal for most actors. We naturally tend to fall into certain genres or roles that are naturally easier for us to work in. Its very normal and common.
      With this being said, to increase your chances at becoming a successful actor, I would suggest getting proficient in all genres. The way to do this is by understanding the bandwidth represented within each genre. This way, you open yourself up to more potential auditions/bookings that wouldn’t be available to you otherwise. It really comes down to understanding yourself as an actor and the genres you are auditioning for. For example if you are going out for a horror movie, it’s best to have an idea on the certain details that are involved within a horror movie/scene. A horror movie scene will be completely different than a romantic comedy. Your acting will still be you, but you will be playing on a different bandwidth and understanding these bandwidths are important.
      Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other further questions.

    • @sultanforherb1139
      @sultanforherb1139 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Actors Academy so many thanks ,and another question,
      is watching more movies for example horror movies or action movies will help like what you are doing in your channel acting analysis for the characters is this useful ?

    • @TheActorsAcademy
      @TheActorsAcademy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, you can and should look into other genres to get a relative idea of what bandwidths you will have. So for example, if you don’t like romantic comedies, I don’t recommend watching them everyday so you get used to them, but watching some here and there or finding some scenes online isn’t a bad idea every once in awhile. So if you get an audition for a romantic comedy and you don’t have a good idea of the bandwidth you should be playing in, watch a clip from a romantic comedy movie. (You don’t always need to watch the whole movie in order to understand the world you’re playing in). Hope that helps!

    Okay, I don’t know if you remember me or not but like a few months, I asked for help to be a actor but something changed and now I’m starting to get back to wanting to be a actor. But I still don’t know because I personally live in Maryland(MD) where there no like agent or manager calls to find a agent or manager to start with, so do you have any alternatives

    • @TheActorsAcademy
      @TheActorsAcademy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Everyone has a different starting points in this business, with different sets of advantages and disadvantages. I would do a bit more research into whether or not you have possible representation opportunities (agents/managers) around where you live. If you still find that it runs dry, you can always try self submitting yourself through actors access or backstage, looking for auditions/video auditions for projects near you.
      Now if someone lives in the middle of a small town far away from any major city, finding representation/projects you can be apart of will be difficult. In that case you may have to wait until you can later get the opportunity to get closer to the city or the means to do so. In the mean time I would then focus on building your skill sets as an actor and improving your acting ability.

    One question. I have an accent, Russian one. Can I become popular actor ?

    • @TheActorsAcademy
      @TheActorsAcademy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It’s possible, but it depends where you’re acting. If you’re acting in the US you’ll also want to be able to do an American accent, since many roles will call for it
