So many great books! You reminded me how much I really want to read The Passion of New Eve. There needs to be more hours in the day!😉🙃

Anne is also my girl!!! ive always resonated with her flair for the dramatic and effervescent energy, she is such a Cancer lol. I'm glad you love Pachinko, such a great generation spanning historical novel. ive been thinking about picking up the Black Leopard Red Wolf books because everyone says it's brilliant, but I am a bit intimidated lol. I've heard mixed things about The Doloriad, not sure if it would be exactly up my ally. good luck on getting more reading more for the rest of the year!!

You are speaking my language. Anne speaks to my soul. Maybe read 25 pages of BLRW at a time, interspersed with something more Anne of Green Gables-esque because that book is HEAVY but also *chefs kiss*

    Ah, I love Anne 💞
My two faves of the year so far are Detransition Baby by Torry Peters and Animal by Lisa Taddeo

Since you liked the Moshfegh and the Doloriad you might be interested in Paradise Rot by Jenny Hval. A lot about the interiority and sexuality of young women, the shifting boundaries between people, sexual awakening and queer desire. Currently enjoying Woman, Eating by Claire Khoda and Cry to Heaven by Anne Rice--either potentially to be in my top books of the year.
