ok three things: 1. that cottage landscape is so beautiful I am so jealous; 2. I also just read the rainwild chronicles in June, but I started the Realm of the Elderlings way back in college when I was studying abroad in 2017--hoping that 2024 can be the year I finally finish off the whole series (I only have the last trilogy left); 3. I totally feel you on the FOMO of big cities and I've actually recently started a job at a rural non-profit and I am loving living the country life (I think this was how I was always meant to live), so I hope you get to live out that dream someday too!!

I share the same feeling - when I'm in the city, specially during Summer, I feel like I was supposed to be doing something outside when sometimes I just want to stay at home reading a book.
I always feel happy when it's windy and chilly so I have an "excuse" to be at home, whitout FOMO. I also try to wake up early on weekends so on Sunday afternoon I'm already tired of having time off and I always start work on Monday with some excitement 🤭

such gorgeous summer footage! I understand what you mean about not wanting to "waste" the day sleeping. I was always the same until pretty recently. there's something so magical about early early morning when you don't belong to anyone but yourself and your surroundings.
