That spinnerbait is a big fish producer! being a fan of the Terminator Oklahoma style blade i saw clunns design called the Trixster, fished with it in the fall and caught much larger fish than i was on the terminator. Became a believer in 8 hours.
Hey, Rick! I fish a 1/2 oz Chartreuse double willow bladed spinnerbait. On my 5 to 7 to 1 ratio spin reel and a 6'6 Ugly Stick medium action. Where I live this combo really gets the Largemouth going. When I can't catch bass on anything else. Its my go to bait. Throw it out. Crank it 4 times let it drop wait. Then Crank it 3 times let it fall. Then boom! They just won't quit hitting it. Thanks, for your advice. Shawn

I still use those big colorado during fall/winter , I'm not a tourney fisherman but they are the only way to go if you know how to make the drop correctly you can catch some monsters
My favorite teacher ever since the video "Top to Bottom. That has to be over 40 years old. I purchsed 3 of RC's spinnerbaits after watching this video. I lost 2 big bass at boatside because the wire broke where it bends for the line tie. Never seen this ever happen to any other spinnerbait. I'm not going to even use the one I still have. I did get to reel in the remaining half of the spinnerbait both times so at least I can use the awesome Indiana blades that they came with.

There are a few good spinnerbait fishermen still on the Elite series but none will ever match Guy Eaker. And I believe that's what Rick based his statement on when he says there's no good spinnerbait anglers left
I think he's right. Not many guys keeping spinnerbaits honest anymore. I'm not saying they've faded into obscurity but a lot more guys seem throwing a chatterbait or crankbait when they want to cover water. Maybe swimbaits or jerkbaits too but I wouldn't say spinnerbaits.
Thomas Draper It seems to come and go in waves. When I first moved to North TX, I threw a spinnerbait quite often and it definitely produced some bigger fish. Somehow everyone caught the spinnerbait fever in my area (not because of me) and started throwing them and my catch rates dropped dramatically...started fishing chatterbaits lol. Now everyone is on chatterbaits it seems...back to the spinnerbait I go!
