I had very similar conditions last couple days. Water is 50-51.5 little muddy and it gave me a 7lb 1oz and a 6lb 14oz today. Of course on the ole spinny bait. That covert is straight money.
That 1 oz is legit!
My first spinnerbait fish was right there on Tenkiller.

Threw that exact bait last weekend at Rayburn and they ate it pretty good in that off colored water. Great bait.

I can wait for the Toledo Bend event to kick off... I've fished that lake all my life and take the hour and a half drive every Friday for the weekend. It would've been a little better if yall came 3 weeks or so from now but I think it's setting up perfectly for this one. Good luck man!!

What is it about the wind that makes them get up shallow on the bank? Is it the same behavior on a tidal system?
Moves the baitfish’s bait there, so baitfish follow and bass follow them
@tonyb-50 that's what I figured but wanted to be sure. Seems more like a lake thing then. The tide determines where the baitfish go more than anything in tidal
How good is Garmin mapping as opposed to Lakemaster and C-Map?
I have one on the front and back and there great straight out of the box but if you want to be able to set the lake level and more detail ull need the chip witch is like 130$

My water is 47 degrees and very muddy. Will there still be some fish shallow.
Jason tell me when should I use a 7'2 heavy moderate fast action rod?
That's a perfect rod for spinnerbaits, jigs, chatterbaits, Texas rigs, etc. Good all-around rod except for finesse stuff, and treble hook baits. Sorry, I'm not Jason, but l like to talk about fishing.
What rod in the Cara line up would you recommend for 3/8 and 1/2 spinnerbaits? I saw a 6’11” MH. It didn’t have a cool name like the head turner, but looked like it might fit the bill. Thoughts?
Head turner. Eye crosser for anything heavier
