Because of your channel, I am actually starting to like wasps and hornets. They are such little characters! I used to get goosebumps from just hearing the buzzing, but watching your work has been so therapeutic that I no longer react with panic to it.Thank you so very much for this.Have a great weekend and keep doing what you're doing!
J Page - My fear is anything but unhelpful - I'm allergic! But I do agree with Kaikani, this definitely helped me view these murder machines in a different light. I still had to turn the sound off though...that buzzing makes me "bug out".
Yellow jacket: hey look sum water let's drink it Yellow jacket 2: ok All yellow jackets: *sucking sound* Hornet: buzzing Hornet: BITCH GET OFF OF MY FUCKING LAWN yellow jacket:NO FUCK YOU GET HIM GUYS Hornet:WAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAA
I would do that for free, wasp and hornets get such a bad rep. But humans are the worst, wasp kill maybe 479 humans a year, while we kill about 100 times of our own population.
If someone asked me for getting a safe job, I would feed hornets. Several jobs are much more dangerous. These wasps only sting if you touch them uncarefully or they get stuck somewhere on your body, between skin and t-shirt. I wouldn't stop feeding wasps if someone offered me millions.
That was fun, watching that Venus Flytrap eliminate that Yellow Jacket like that! Those Yellow Jackets are some of the absolute worst critters ever put on the face of this Earth. There's so many of them, per nest, that if you were to try to kill off their populace, they have guards that can swing around behind you, or to the side of you, and sting the living daylights out of you! They're pesky beyond belief, and very, very dangerous. I saw footage from Florida from years ago, where people went into an area, where there was a massive Yellow Jacket nest, and killed them off. The next day, all of the Yellow Jackets were dead...and the entire populace of that nest was estimated to have been at least 1,000,000 Yellow Jackets! Imagine being stung by all of them, time after time after time... You'd never make it out of that situation alive!
Lothar doesn't usually answer questions. He knows, but I feed wasps for 5 years and my location is close to his. My experience is that wasps never sting unless they're attacked physically (you hit them with your hand etc.) I got more than 5 stings after 2 years of feeding wasps, because they loved to sit on my body, I didn't expect them to be there and I hit them somehow. I even fed them on hand, it made them so tame that I could touch them and they didn't escape.
Tolle Aufnahmen! Vielen Dank! Es ist immer sehr interessant die Viecher zu beobachten...aber bei Ihren Aufnahmen kommt man ihnen doch naeher dran als sonst. Vielen Dank!
Wasps/yellow jackets are still so gross, I applaud you for your calm nature. I wouldn't get able to do it they like me too much and hate their very existence.
Because it would seriously impact the food chain along the line, wasps do eat certain pests, and while not to the same extent as bees, colonize and are food as well
0:56 is my spirit animal
Agreed
Beekeeper: Anyone else hates annoying wasp buzzing?
...
Hornet: me
Dude at 0:56 got the vertical suplex from that honey.

This is so nice to hear! I'm really happy that this channel is helping people to get over the (very natural, but very unhelpful) fear of wasps.
I'm starting to feel the same way.

I just commentate on it in my mind like “ay mate this is my fukin honey fuck off” “ahh shit I got my face full of honey “ and it makes it funny
They’re just so sleek and deadly looking.
They need some flying lessons. Bc they keep falling over lol.
Their designed brilliantly, they've survived this long......I guess they didn't anticipate the viscosity of the fluid they stuck their pincers into.
I love yellowyacket wasp
Happy to teach you the correct spelling:
y-e-l-l-o-w-j-a-c-k-e-t
I don't like yellow jackets, but I do like European hornets since they eat other smaller insects.
You sir are the most freaking brave man to put your face up close to a hornet..
No problem...
nice video.
Офигенно снято.

Carnivorous plants

...Le premier frelon vu sur ce film, très bien maîtrisé, est un drone , un mâle , donc inoffensif : vespa germanica le sait elle aussi...
How many times do you get stung doing this?

insects fucking with each other is the most satisfying stuff I've ever seen.
Just one hornet there verses all those German Yellowjackets most likely from a local nest!
The big one wants me to run my ass to Australia
The real mvp on this vid is the venus fly trap. *applause*
The Venus Flytrap would've taken a bow...

I love seeing wasps stabilize while hovering! Thank you for sharing so much slow motion footage.
0:35 - 0:44 poor thing it looks so spooked by the hornet, lol imagine if giant humans came after you
Klasse Video! Kann es sein, dass es sich bei der Hornisse aufgrund der gebogenen Fühler um ein Männchen handelt? Auf jeden Fall Daumen hoch.
Ja, das ist eine Drohne mit den langen Fühlern
I actually like Yellow Jackets

Don't really like the angle on the first few minutes a higher angle would be better
Why not just kill the wasps instead?
Sure, they're interesting, but they're so mean.
I dont know, I think wawsps are pretty creapy but they are cute at 0:56
Because dead wasps cannot do hilarious suplexes and rolls? 😂
Because it would seriously impact the food chain along the line, wasps do eat certain pests, and while not to the same extent as bees, colonize and are food as well
