I wish they would rework Kalan's Eddict one more time. Because, once again, why i need to take shadowblight passive to get great damage if i want to play pure minion build) The power of minions key passive must be equal to others.
Ahhh Bone Storm for barrier ok going to try that today maybe can get rid of these sacred temerity pants that have carried me lol. Going to tinker with thorns today. Also there's a two hand scythe that gives chill to darkness and also buffs nonphysical damage, it showed me having high damage stats on things like decompose and even shademist but in practice i need to test more. I've just been focused on surviving now since i didn't really need survival until yesterday when I did my first pit, I didn't play since season 2.
@@lonmeasley752 Oof ok thank you so much! I hadn't even paid attention to that, I'm level 94 and after my most recent gear setup I only have 7k armor and I'm at around 10% on most resistance and way to over on shadow resistance. It's really cool that it shows the resistance caps in the tool tip. My attack power says 17k though which seems higher than my previous gear set ups probably from focusing on intelligence trying to get over 1200 for the Paragon board Wither.
If you are giving up Shadow Blight for minion attack speed which you can easily hit the 100% attack speed bonus with gear alone, and putting Unyielding on your 2h and also kicking Blighted to the curb, at that point might as well spec for Ossified and go for a Bone Spirit minions build and forget about the x45 Great Feast Aspect and use minions purely for utility. Other than that, Shadow Mages would benefit from SOME of the changes you said as most of their damage comes from AOTD and thanks to the Shademist aspect putting a shadow auroa around your minions paired with Blighted Aspect you will basically have ShadowBlight up and running 24/7 now, put back in the Great Feast aspect and now you are rocking and rolling. Edit: forgot to mention, no point in running aphotic to make your skel warriors deal shadow damage, thanks to shademist, and generating corpses with your attack speed at 50% will be insanely fast to keep Flesh Eater up.
For sure, shademist looks great for shadowblight uptime! And I'm sure Bone Spirit will be insane! Just wanted to focus on more minion-focused builds for this video. I seriously thought about trying Bone Sprint in season 5 (but I might instead go with a different class)! Thanks for the input anyway!!
Pretty sure building around locrans is the play. Run max essence minions, maybe even the aspect. Stack attack speed and crit chance/dmg. Could possibly even make use of mendeln. That amulet is WAY too strong to ignore.
@@jasonlucia6682 true but then we end up like in season 1-2 where the necro builds basically were completely dependent on a single item (mendeln) to function in end game. Which really can limit the creativity of necro play styles.
Always worth checking the ptr rather than trusting data mines. The Grandfather is still 100% on the actual PTR. Also your struggles in the PTR pit could be related to a couple bugs. Progress is messed up meaning you have to kill more monsters, monsters are chonkier, and bosses have a bug where their first spawn has way too much health. Rob said basically 101 on the PTR is like a 111 on live.

🤔Is the Blighted Aspect nerf too much for the minion Necromancer? Find out in this video! Let me know what you think as well!
I'm confused why people say Unyielding Commander is a damage multiplier.. Doesn't the (+) next to it mean additive?
That's a good catch! Im fairly certain it's a tooltip error/quirk and thay it is in fact multiplicative!
So is not additive? Sure?

Yes! I 100% agree.

Ahh, for survival, make sure to hit the armor cap (around 9300 armor) and get your resistances up pretty high! Good luck!

I actually thought about it, but I think it could be nerfed as it seems super busted! If it doesn't get nerfed, definitely!!

Do you notice the extremely high chance of lucky hits in decrepify aura?
YES! And the stunning too. Probably a bug (minions proccing it?)

I see I see. Ugh that makes testing hard! I hope these builds (and other ones too) will make it to season 5 okay!
The grandfather @ 200% was a datamine error from WoWhead.
Gosh..that's unfortunate 😕 and I'm sorry for the mistake too! But I suppose it makes sense or else it would be so incredibly strong
Hopefully when I come back to necromancer in another 5 seasons, they'll have got their shit together. 😂. Necro needs some huge reworks.
True....despite the minion buffs, most specs need a lot of love!!

So basically, get grandfather or get nerfed by Blizzard. Lovely. 😂 Guess the off season team remembered how much players loved character power nerfs.
Looks to be the case at least based on the current PTR! But I suppose there's still a chance to see additional changes between now and S5's launch!
