You’re the loyalty of this occupation that billions are literally frustrated with butchers out there. Finally! Well done! You deserve the big screen and an academy award. Bravo!
This seems much more logical and forgiving than lots of the diy tutorials out there that have you going straight in with a 1 or 0 especially for someone who just wants to tidy up their hair themselves thank you ! 😀
@@VictoriaIEscobar I was doing very well myself following your video - there was a stage where it was nearly perfect and I should have left it alone but then slowly the cut started creeping higher and higher up the sides to the point of no return - I’ve ended up shaving everything off with a razor so completely shiny bald now 🤣🤣 There is a reason we pay to get our hair cut by experienced professionals!🤣
@@averagecyclist4707 Thanks for the heads up. You go in with a 1 only when hair is thick and bulky and you keeping the bulk, something like an Afro undercut/BART Simpson/ Mohawk. ❤️
I’ve been doing my husband and son’s haircuts since the pandemmy started… and this is the first video I watched (just now for the first time) that I really understand more. Attempted my first fade right after watching and it was a great success thank you!
This is the best instructional video I have ever seen explaining how to blend and cut the hair! My husband refuses to go pay to get his hair cut and wants me to do it for him. I am always so nervous to do it and am not consistent. I can’t wait to try again after watching your video. Thanks!
So helpful. You’re a great teacher! I graduated cosmetology school this past April & do not feel comfortable with men’s haircutting. They don’t teach that in cosmo school, which stinks. I’m struggling with blending & fearful of bald fades. 😟 But this tutorial has helped a bunch ~ thanks so much!
Great drawings where you depict the occipital bone and how to cut around that area. Thank you for explaining what the purpose of that lever is. Love this video.
Thanks I have been sweating in my sleep over trying to understand this. Watched a bunch of vlogs, which I love but damn I was confused. You have saved my life. God Bless You and your business, Madam🇿🇦❤️💇🏻♂️
You explained things so well. I like how you use diagrams and breaking it down to the size clippers you used for each section. I can tell that you are good at your profession. Thank you.
This was truly the most wonderful tutorial I’ve watched for blending a gentleman’s clipper cut 😁💖👍🏼I am so glad I’ve seen this .. Thanku so much 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼💖
Hi! I checked so many videos today for beginners and finally I found yours. I m a total beginner and this is the right video. Also love your nail polish 💕💕💕
Accurate and on point. Great turtorial! Alot of haircut videos on youtube 75% of it is of bloated small talk .Im learning to cut hair this will help so much .Thanks!!!!
Thank you so much .2 and half year i was looking for this kind of videos.finally I found. Sp lines eliminating are difficult.so if that kind of more videos on fade will helpful coz easy steps and the way you did drawing and made understanding easy.👍
You're very talented with hair!!! I'm still a bit confused so I'll watch it a few more times. I'm not a fan of hair this short, but it's not about what I want. My roommate wants a cut this short so I bought some clippers, but he wants the top shorter than this. I do have a question though. His hair was brown and now is completely white. When I spray it, it dries within a minute or two. Is this because it's grey, cuz I don't remember it doing this when it was brown. I have a hard time keeping it wet.
Thanks for this I've been cutting my own hair for awhile but I really don't get the blending part, now I can understand how it goes. I copied your diagram if you don't mind. Cheers!
@@VictoriaIEscobar Thank you so much for responding. His hair came out OK. I had a little trouble with the blending area after using the clippers, since I didn’t want to leave it all long on top. You make it look so easy and it’s not! plus, it takes me forever. Wishing you lots of success on TH-cam.
hi so #3 to temporal bone the 2# to occitpal bone the 2 1/2 to blend .... then a #1 under it the 1 1/2 to blend it in theunr #1 for side burns then scissor blending?
I really appreciate your clear teaching skills! Your video is extremely helpful and im feeling more confident in learning to put this info to task. Thank you!
I should have watched this video BEFORE fading my man's hair for the first time, LOL. Just bought the clippers you linked, so hoping my next go is a lot better.
This might be dumb but is it possible to do the top blending part without scissors? We don’t have any right now but I got my boyfriend a whole new clipper/trimmer set with a bunch of sizes so is it possible to use different size clips to do a similar thing?
You should be pulling the clippers out as soon as the curvature of the head begins, so you really should be stopping at the occipital bone, if you bring the clippers all the way up to your crown that is going toO high and it will be difficult to fade.
Thank you for this video tutorial. I can't see a link for the scissors you use. Also, it may be useful to have a video on how to choose scissors and best way to handle them for beginners. Great job!💇🏽♂️
There are always adjustments when working with different textures of hair. Adjustments depend on the exact clients hair I'm doing at the time. I can't give a detailed explanation unless I have that particular client in front of me. I'm sorry but hopefully this helps a little.
Please do a video for men who are in between hair loss stage. Receeding hair line and or on the top bald patch . Usually the 40 year old hair / young dad stress. With a beard would be great too to blend side burn.
is there any value in using a cordless vs. cordless? Is one quieter? Does either work better? It seems that the cord would be nice to not have yet most of the clippers videos they are using corded and some say they have more power? I'm looking at buying today and have the choice corded or cordless?
Great question - Cordless are definitely more convenient because you don't have to worry about it getting in the way which results in a quicker and more efficient cut, BUT they lose power when they’re needing a charge. At the end of the day it’s really just personal preference on what's more important to you
@@VictoriaIEscobar thanks a lot. Yeah I thought about it and I had a cordless vacuum once and it lost power over time. I went with the corded and finished my first haircut (myself) and it worked pretty well. cool
In the video you mentioned a less expensive shears option. I did not one. Do you have a recommendation for a scissors that is a bit more affordable ($100-125) than the professional ones you referenced. They are a bit to much of an investment for me currently. TIA
Great question - When breaking down a haircut you have to think of the shape you are wanting to create. If you can imagine every single hair is sticking out from the head the shapes that it would create. That’s why I have some drawings to give you a better idea of the shape. The more you practice the more this will make sense.
Wow,finally found someone that really explains in details how to cut for bignners, your tutorials are great thankyou

Could you comment on how far up to do the 3? You stop at the "crown" but this is slightly different for everyone, correct?
You should be pulling the clippers out as soon as the curvature of the head begins, so you really should be stopping at the occipital bone, if you bring the clippers all the way up to your crown that is going toO high and it will be difficult to fade.

I have a clipper with no lever. How do I blend the line between the 2 and the 3?
I would recommend getting one with lever bc it is very difficult to do it without one. You use a comb but again, it is very hard.
is there any adjustments when applying these steps to coarse hair ??

I don’t have this 1/2 thing??? I have clippers with guards but no lever... what can I do instead
The lever is very important so my only recommendation would be to buy new clippers that have the lever.
