(Wikihow legit told me to imagine my hair is electrocuted and never really explained how that's supposed to help. 🤦♀️ It also spent a billion years telling me to make sure I had enough time, to put stuff in the floor, etc... But gave me the most vague hair cutting instructions ever. "Then connect the top and bottom." Like, yeah, but what does that mean?) This has been SO helpful, especially the diagram. You are a life-saver!

I cut a little boy this way for 6 years. He looked crazy at the beginning, but with time he looked better after my haircut, than after the haidresser's haircut. Training makes a master🥰😍I held my hand/fingers toward his head. Thank you for sharing. Ear section was always the hardest to figure out.

Thank you! Very clear tutorial. I have to make a slight adjustment on the back of my husband's hair to accommodate a cowlick on one side of the nape. When he gets professional cuts, they cut symmetrically. Unfortunately, when his hair dries it looks like someone took a bite out of the bottom edge! 😂 To avoid this, I cut that spot dry without combing downward (it grows horizontally there) so I know it will look right even though I'm actually leaving an isolated long section. This works well for us, so now he wants me to do the whole haircut! Thanks for the lesson! 😊

What you are calling the occipital bone is actually the posterior region of the parietal bone. The ridge/bump that you feel at the top of the nape is called the "occiput" (pronounced: ox-e-put). 😊

He's usualky a really handsome guy and has gorgeous silver hair like Leslie Nielson, but NOW his hair just hangs past his shoulders like a girl...no shape and he has a mullet to boot. Thank you so much for this outstanding tutorial! I have been cutting my husband's hair for a couple of years "on and off." I am going to use your techniques/video the next time. I have been using one by "April" -- which has been my "go to" -- but I really like the technique you present -- it makes it much easier to see/work with the hair in sections. Your illustrations helped a lot as well! ❤😊

I've been cutting my son's hair for quite awhile. Sometimes OK. Sometimes YIKE. Your tutorial is really going to improve my skills. Favorite tip: don't cut below the knuckle. Have already cut myself because I did not know this! Thank you for the detailed instructions.You are awesome!
