- The only 1/144 kit from Kyoukai Senki comes bundled with the November 2021 issue of Hobby Japan - it's the MAILeS Kenbu special model kit produced by Bandai! While the retail kits are 1/72, surely you'd be curious how they'd look like next to all your HGUC Gundam kits - and the designers really went out of their way to make an excellently-detailed kit despite the very small size.

I've already ordered a few HGs from that series, and honestly? I love these designs. I don't know if I'll even watch the series, but man... something about it makes me love 'em!

Really love 1/144 scales for the Senki line. I don’t mind painting and modding this bad boy :) Hope It'll be available soon to our country.
The poor little guy is having trouble selling here. Sure hope you can get your hands on one because it really is a cool kit that not everyone can have

2:35 I never knew those thing were runner date of manufacturing. Btw, a malaysian gunpla seller yt channel got the hg early because apparently the local distributor sent them early for promoting the kit and the series
Now you can do some detective work if you ever buy an old kit:) but Bandai is quite sloppy and I see wrong stamps quite often...

it's so small, though i think it'll look great painted up in camo and parked beside a D50 Loto.
i do hope the anime ends up being good (and popular) so we have more diverse kits and what not. (still sad that we don't get much from something like Buddy Complex or Majestic Prince, for example)
also, i see your cat is starting to steal the spotlight more and more, lol.
If it gets camo then it'd go amazing with digital camo for urban combat.
The magical animals in the animation is a bit of a wildcard. Sure hope they don't get too forced and obnoxious

Surprisingly detailed for a little non-graded kit. Especially if its panel lined.
Or with a bit of touch-up with Gundam Markers (and a brush), it'd look fantastic

I did see this thing in the last hobby japan but hadnt bothered to translate the text with it haha, probably mentioned it coming with the november issue :')
So you're going to get one of these as well:) An editor at Hobby Japan mentioned it's been a very long time since they've done model tie-ins so everyone probably long forgot it was a thing already (Dengeki Hobby did it way more when they were around)
with this serise getter and gridman it gives me hope that we might se a new boom in mecha anime. but if we dont atleast this has some awesome designs
Bandai/Sunrise is trying much harder with Kyoukai Senki it seems. I also hope more robot animation catch on so we can get great kits

Thank you for this awesome video, I was curious about the size of the Kenbu compared to a Gundam. I'm excited to get Kyoukai Senki HG kits especially the Full Mechanics Kenbu. I hope the series is successful, I hate it when good mecha series fail.
When I learned this kit was 1/144, I really wanted to get it and put it next to my other 1/144 kits myself:)
I hope it works out too. Bandai can often be very cynical and exploitative with how they target their products, so it's great to see them make things that are genuinely interesting to us fans.
As a fan of having kits on the same scale, It was a little bit of a bummer to know This 1/144 kit was gonna be exclusive to a magazine, i thought it was gonna come with one of the bigger kits (one model on 1/72 and one at 1/144 in the same box) or something like that
I'd like it too if they made these 1/144 as a budget line of kits like this. But yeah, the magazine will probably be the only way they'll ever release this
@@HobbyClubhouse yeah, most probably, would be fun to have some kind of gacha series of small mechas on 1/144 like this one, VOTOMS, and such, only time will tell

I have to agree that is an impressively detailed little kit, considering the size! I really dig the off-set / staggered joint design these Kyoukai Senki mechs sport. I'm looking forward to trying a few of these kits out.
On a side note: Is this the first time you used a black backdrop? I feel like this is the first time I've noticed. Whatever the case, it was a great choice for the subject matter. Nice Hobby cameo too!
The black backdrop was always around but I only used it one time before. I think it was for one segment during the bootleg Xi Gundoom review in special cases when the model can't be on white:)
I can't wait to look at the HG kits for Kyoukai Senki, I'm super excited about the radical new designs
Such a tiny boi. I always prefer smaller Mecha since they make more sense than office building size robots.
They feel much more sensible as vehicles at that size, and it's a lot of fun to see exactly how small they are next to the bigger robots

Hoping the series gets some traction so we get more kits! I’m really liking the look of the Brady Hound Blood Type (I think it’s called). It’s one of the new Grunt suits
The one with the ball-head and with the extra swords right? I love both that and the sand brown grunts -- and they attach onto that carrier plane too. Can't wait for them to come out

And yeah, I’m hopeful for Kyoukai Senki. I don’t think any of the designs so far have been bad.

There really is surprisingly little to fill in to get this kit looking way more complete
I am hoping that this anime will win anime grand prix in 2021.
I hope so too. Bandai / Sunrise will be more willing to do big new IPs like this if this becomes successful

No he doesn't, he just walks around like that or sleeps in that corner he sits in the video, I guess that part is his now.
I can even leave unbuilt parts out and he doesn't disturb them

@@HobbyClubhouse There's a clan called Nova Grappler based on Gundam like robots. Some of them really feel like a case for Copyright infringement
