    I love your home as well. I don't understand and thumbs down either. Their probably people with no patience , or jealous that they are unable to paint. IDK. I love watching you, your so talented. I paint in oils. They're more forgiving,lol. Thank you . Beautiful as usual. Stay well. From America.🤗

    Hi Charles. Peter from Noosa Australia. Another great lesson. Great tips.
    I have noticed that with your divide north,south (grass, path. Ect.) all the lucky ones who recieved a free cruise to Australia in days gone by,must have come from your neck of the woods.
    Be good,no be bad it's more fun. Please to all keep safe. Peter.

    Thank you so much for your willingness to show us the details of your painting process. I have learned so much by watching your videos and have purchased two of your books to help me learn more. Your patient teaching style, your sense of humor, and your photographer’s (your dear wife?) attention to following each of your moves have taught me more than I could ever imagine I would learn from TH-cam. Please keep teaching us; you are a true instructor as well as an amazing artist. Thank you again and again.

    Beautiful painting and you give the best tutorials for us to achieve those same beautiful paintings. I think what I like best about you and your methods is you aren't real precious about every brush, color and stroke. It gives us some leeway to think on our own.
    I'm in the US so had to map England to find Northumberland. You are as far north as you can go in England. Have always wanted to visit the UK but probably never will. Your gardens are so lovely as well. Thanks again. 😃

    Thanks Charles. Been fortunate to watch three of your demos. Last time was at lympne Castle in Kent. For Hythe Art Society. I worked our camera that day so was able to observe your work very closely. You really are great painter. Roland Hilder had a slightly dirtier palette than you although you run him close.so inspired by you and him I have a mucky palette. Been painting for many years mainly watercolour and gouache and have sold quite a few but when I see your work I bow to your skill and it lifts me enough to start again after a a blank patch. I was so impressed when I asked you what you were going to do for us and you replied ‘I don’t know, then went on well this is a nice place perhaps we will do this. This was fifteen minutes before the demo and there you were sitting on a step outside sketching the building. Such brass northern nerve and stunning ability. May you go on for ever.

    Very happy to see a full painting! You have a lovely garden with many beautiful trees to paint. You have helped me substantially with my greens. They have always been a problem for me. I live on a farm and have tons of landscapes to paint, but rarely do them because I have a hard time getting the right greens. Now I will attempt them again. Hi Charles, love Frank and Bert they are beautiful❤🐕. Every time I watch you I learn more, thank you so much. I'm from down South and when I was three I found out the meaning of the word 'wack', or rather my backside knew it first. For a while, I went looking for this 'wack' that my mum kept saying she was going to give me. When I knocked over a plant was when I found it! Me and 'wack' would meet up on a regular basis. I love this painting, getting used to cold coffee. xx🍵 Stay safe.

    Well i really enjoyed watching this painting and the end result. It continues to amaze me how a painting can begin with a few strokes and end, a beautiful artwork. As I have just begun to paint, I certainly appreciate the bit by bit detail and instruction, rather than a fade out here and there, and well there's the finished work. And since he has painted this in his backyard, I have identified a small landmark right here in my neighborhood, and that's going to be an outside work, although I know there's a fancy phrase for painting outside...! My wife and I watched this one and and it was enjoyable to comment back and forth. Please continue to share these. Thanks.

    Assuming that's a native tree you are a lucky man to have one growing on your land! They are so rare now that most aren't close enough to fertilise each other, so the sad old trees can't make any viable seeds anymore.
    They are beautiful trees, but lonely ones at that.

    How long did it take, start to finish, to do this one? How many times have you painted it?

    • @charlesevans7706
      @charlesevans7706  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Never painted it in watercolour, once in acrylic! It took as long as you saw on the video.
