"Boogie Oogie Oogie" is a song by the American band A Taste of Honey from their 1978 self-titled debut album. Released as their debut single in the summer of 1978, the song became an extremely popular "crossover" disco song. now look at that. Filipino band is playing and singing to it. It can not be better than that.
@@michaelmarama-de4gx I think you've got it mixed up, please prove otherwise. This song was already in creation in 1976, Carlita (their guitarist at the time) had already made blueprints for Boogie Oogie Oogie. I can't find any cover by the Temptations, please let me know if they had an incredibly similar earlier song that A Taste of Honey ripped from though.
The sound engineer for this might be the best I've ever heard. It sounds almost as good as a studio recording that's how well everything's captured and mixed.
I was deejay back in the disco era and have heard this song performed live by A Taste of Honey several times and I can safely say this this is the best cover I have ever heard. Bravo to everyone. The blend of backup instrumentalists and singers is exquisite and the sound engineer did a magnificent job on the video. Just perfection.

I'm not sure about how the Phillipines became lovers of RNB and Jazz, but I know it absolutely took off in Japan in the early 80s and continued to be really popular into the 90s (Acid Jazz and the likes, such as Jamiroquai). All peoples can sing, but yes it's lovely to see Black Western music being enjoyed all around the world.
WOW, JUST WOW. SO WELL DONE AND SUCH A MASTERFUL PERFORMANCE FROM THE VOCALS TO THE BASS TO THE LEAD TO THE HORNS IT WAS ALL SUPERB. I AM GOING TO BE LISTENING TO THIS A GOOD BIT FROM NOW ON.

Thats bullsshite they are soulless as musicians. The chaos of life is neo-colonialism and American capitalism. Music does transform indeed tired souls. But not any music.
