  • What are your priorities when it comes to life satisfaction and your personal well-being? Wealth? Your health? Or your happiness? And how could you measure it?
The OECD’s Better Life Index (BLI) allows you as citizens to compare the quality of life among countries in 11 well-being dimensions and to create your very own index based on what matters most to you. Do you put clean air above personal safety, and how important is your income or job to you, or do you prefer to focus on work-life balance?
Since the BLI was launched in 2011, over 110,000 people have integrated their responses into an interactive map. Different people in different places, and they rate the Better Life Index differently.
Try it at www.oecdbetterl... responses and put yourself on the map!

Instead of seeking a better work/life balance seek the perfect balance between personal/professional success. The key to living well is having a higher quality of living. To do this we can each take the responsibility of our own lives and become a better model. Our lifestyles should not only reflect how we live but who we are as beings. Each of us can do our best, focusing on excellence and great character as we serve others. Together we can change the world but its starts with making the decision to change ourselves. Who we become will attract the life we can create.

In North America the wealth is not evenly distributed and a lot of employers use their employees as tools to produce and grow their business but most times don't care about their welfare as they are asked to work long hours always being away from family ...You are pressured to get an education in a country as the U.S. which try to boast about its status in this world when it can't even offer free education or healthcare to its citizens as its neighbors Canada or most other European countries. ....You take a student loan and you work your ass off just to pay it back and you don't get to live or enjoy any quality of life as that loan hangs like an albatross around your neck.

What makes a better life???...... less corrupt (or non at all) government! From Africa to most countries around the world, corruption is a problem for mobilising into a quality of life! Good governance should be the starting point to improve the quality of life of the majority of the citizens!

What matters to YOU matters! If people come into your life to tell you it doesn't matter, ask yourself if you would be people pleasing! Doing that will lower your quality of life.

To have better life qaulity in th US if I have more money. We pay rent $500, but if we buy a house 1 million we will have 30% better life quality. So, money is almoust for nothing in the US.

We asked an agent for a lot in GA(US) that has at least cable internet and Mediterranean or modern house style is allowed? The agent found only 2. Hahahaahaha. We saw that it was big problem for him. Price limit is 400K for a lot only. PROBLEM. :) What quality of life in the US!?? There is life quality if you come form country without internet, without water and garbage houses. :)
Another one recommended to us to take Starlin, but star link is not available in half of the US, not in GA, .... US is a BIG JOKE.

Where is problem? The US makes artificial war all around the world. Problem is not if the US makes war in Africa, people are usually poor and will move in the US and be happy, but if you make war in Europe, people will move to the US, but they can offer much more than what the US can offer to them. Artificial is good up to some limit, not more. :)
