I had the same argument until I saw Yuki. Yes a lot of harem protags are the same carbon copy black haired dude in appearance, but at least they react to things. If they get punched or threatened, they say something back or at least say ow. (And they don’t defend the bad guy that someone wants revenge on.)
@@shirabe64 I mean to be fair I wouldn’t really consider Vampire Knight a reverse harem, but more so a love triangle (which is a trope you’ll find in 99% of shoujo). However, I will agree that reverse harems have a serious problem not giving their leads any sort of personality comparatively to harem anime. Though if you’re looking for some better options that more fall into the reverse harem genre I’d recommend Ouran Highschool Host Club, or for something a bit more modern My Next Life as a Villainess.

But since it's for women and harems are a fantasy, you just have to suck up and try to understand that we all have different fantasies. It's easy, you just don't understand others' tastes. I'm french canadien so my first language is french. I watched both french and english dub. I don't know wich god they prayed to or goat sacrifice they made but the french dub version is 100% superior to the english one. Like every voice actor for every character make sense and yuki's voice doesn't make your ears bleed. The anime is still a dumbest fire of a show. but at least the french version has the positive of being well dub ;_;

The English Dub is kind of a mixed bag. I mean it’s got some of my favorites such as Troy Baker, Steve Staley, Dorothy Fahn, Stephanie Sheh, Bryce Papenbrook, Travis Willingham, Lauren Bailey and Jameson Price and yet most of them sounded bored while recording their lines. Most of the dubbed characters don’t have any outstanding performances or any emotion into their roles. The only exceptions are Bryce Papenbrook and Travis Willingham. Vampire Knight really is like Anime Twilight, mainly because the acting is so dull and lifeless.

Homeslice, you've got it all wrong. Yes, the show sucked (I so wanted it not to, but it did). But vampires and blood-sucking are supposed to be sexy. That's been in all vampire fiction for centuries. It's a symbolic, wink-wink reference to *other* kinds of slurping. The show's problems are more like: (a) Yuki has the mind of a vanilla custard; (b) Kaname is a jerk; (c) they didn't let the cowboy guy blow away the entire night school in clouds of gunsmoke; (d) "that thing" that is revealed at the end.
I am soo maybe glad that i didnt actually complete it cuz u know it aint ...worth ittttt i mean quite good anime abit tooooo goooood u know twistedddly
