I'm a South African who has recently become a big fan of your channel, Mark! Incidentally clicked "Oldest to Newest" vids and found your biking ones. It made me realise that my second biggest gripe about South Africa (after all our corruption) is that a camera never does its beauty justice -- and your footage is epic!
Greetings from a former Safa now living in New Zealand. Might have problems, and a lot of them, but that will always be a beautiful part of the world with some truly amazing people. I did a lot of mountain bike racing in those parts back in the day. Best wishes and thanks for the awesome video. EDIT to add, I got my wife a CRF250 Rally, she loves it. Gonna get one of those lowering links for her, too.
Prince Alert hotel does a ghost tour after dinner, also when going back over to the sea there is a road to the Hell - Die Hell, the most isolated town in South Africa. Once done with that there are some hidden gems - waterfalls close to the road into the town with caves... You can strip off and have a dip in the pools below..
Podcast said come check this out. Loved the podcast, now I'm here. Wild thought, ever considered writing a book about your experiences/fitness and growth mindset?
No way Mark, we stayed exactly at Cederberg Oasis around the same time (or maybe it was 2017). Took a hike up to the arch, there's also some great mountain bike trails in the area.
Wow! Loved the video. I took my wife on her first ride a few weeks back and she also wants to get her licence and to do exactly what you guys did. Do you by any chance have your trip on file that I could upload to a GPS?
I’m very very tempted by a rally I’ve had litre bikes but to be honest I just want to get back on two wheels and play in the like a child and the CRF250 seems a really good option, the reason I asked about Jen was she looks a rather petite girl and the bike was really low I however am not a petite women and I was worried about the back end being too soft

Great video. I also did the Swartberg a month ago. Had low cloud cover, and made road muddy. And also have the same shot of my bike at Skelmdraai

Ha! Was contacted by a publisher about that very option a couple of weeks ago. Not my thing right now though.

Nice trip guys. The cafe in Clanwilliam with the burgers are still there. They opened a new place above KFC. Still have the best burgers.
@@MarkLewisfitness They've been open in 2018 aswell. Still got the same duo burger as always. Best place in town. You will have to come again.
Going to Clanwilliam in 2 weeks, what's the name of the Cafe? Thanks

Great video you guys. Think I remember you from ORS Wales last year?
How did she find difference between the rally and the 250L at home? I'm contemplating between the two.
