I'm actually on the thin size. Have a size 40 Levi's Jacket 'Made in Canada' though and somewhat rigid. I actually had to have the sleeves shortened as I've had to do with all my denim jackets. Interestingly the body feels really slim, but the sleeves are way too wide. Had to have them taken in at my local seamstress/tailor; however, in comparison to contemporary jackets, the sleeves still look a bit wide on me. I'm on the trim side though like the video host.
@Rex Erection : The quality of the old trucker jackets is insane. The stitching is usually reinforced although not as smoothly sewn as contemporary version. That aspect gives them more of a custom sort of feel. Also, it would be likely that the denim weight of an 80's jacket would be at least 14 oz.

If you’re a tall guy and can’t find a long enough denim jacket, I just discovered Old Navy. They have tall sizes that fit flawlessly!!! I’m 6’3” 230lbs and wear shirt sleeves length of 36/37.. Im 5”8’ and every single jacket I’ve ever tried is always about 2-3 inches too long for my liking. I’ve actually cut the bottom hem off on one of them to get a cropped look. Actually looks good , but i hate doing that to a jacket
Good review. I purchased a Type III and it fitted perfect on my arms. You should bear in mind they’ve always been a slim fitting jacket with a short length. Lots of people size up for a longer length but all that happens is the rest of the jacket is too big. I’d also say they’re not designed for overweight people.
Right on! Definitely, a Levi's trucker should have a "fitted" "tailored" look. I have to add, Levi's is finally coming around with their quality control and sizing, for the last twenty years they've been slipping in the quality control department but, they are getting better. Also, sometimes I would suggest to try on several jackets in and take your time finding the right fit!
I agree I also don't like when the sleeves are too long as well. The newer cuts are the most fitted I have found compared to just a few years back after reviewing different year cuts.

I prefer a slimmer more tailored fit… and about 22-24 length..I never liked the bigger oversized boxy loose fitting jacket… it’s not flattering if you’re shorter..Boxy is OK as long as it fits more snug… I don’t want to wear a heavy hoodie or sweater underneath my denim jacket anyway… Just a T-shirt, and may be a lightweight flannel plaid or denim shirt… I knew I think the small looks better… Because I have a 39 chest, 17 1/2 shoulders, 24 sleeves… And I am only 5-7… 155… I need some thing that is broader and boxy. I think the best looking denim jackets are either the dark indigo/black, medium blue… And I also prefer seeing the texture of the fabric… Sometimes the really light ones look like thick cotton, they don’t really look like denim because you don’t see the texture of the fabric… Like in raw denim which is the best I believe… I also like the faded ones when they are old and vintage… Because they still have a little of the original color underneath instead of the new faded versions that are almost too faded… It doesn’t look natural… And I think that’s why the old vintage ones that have faded over time after hundreds washes and worn daily and hard.. look and feel so much better because they’re soft, the the frayed edges, the little rips, or tears… They’re natural, the original patina is beautiful… And it’s all well earned over time … That’s why denim and wax cotton/canvas are awesome, they get better over time… they age gracefully Just like some leather jackets. Yes this is the duke, they also have a slimmer version which I would of preferred, In my opinion I would go with the Chelsea suede not the leather because of the chrome leather they crease very fast. For the price it’s worth it

Get a medium it will fit better and if the fit is baggy you can always wash it to shrink to a slimmer fit

Yes this is the duke, they also have a slimmer version which I would of preferred, In my opinion I would go with the Chelsea suede not the leather because of the chrome leather they crease very fast. For the price it’s worth it

I have a small torso length. My arm length is 31/32 inch. I am 5'6" and the small size in mens Levi's has the sleeves covering my hands. Is that how it should be? Which size would be good for me?
You can try an extra small or fold up the sleeves but if the arm length is too long fully covering your hand it’s too long for you try a smaller size.
I personally fold the sleeves
