Thomas: says the word "side" in any context ever
Me: sANDERS SIDES
Yeah, the moment I heard this mashup I wanted to make something involving Deceit and the other, unrevealed dark sides. And it ended up being a 3 minute animation, so, uhh, you're welcome?
Anyway, the plot of this animation goes something like this: All of the light sides (including Virgil) feel flawed in some way, and want to remedy that. Patton feels like he can't control his emotions, especially the negative ones. Logan is upset that he even has emotions in the first place. Roman feels insecure and hates it. And Virgil feels like the others haven't respected him as much ever since he stopped being the villain in their eyes.
So each one individually seeks out Deceit and the other dark sides (Orange and Green, who I purposely kept vague since we haven't met them yet. In my head they're Ignorance and Envy, but you can choose whatever since it doesn't affect the story.) to make a deal. They all ask for help in fixing their aforementioned dilemmas. But since it's not the best idea to ask the embodiment of deception for help, the lights sides all end up corrupted, changed into a dark side of their own. Patton becomes Naïvete to escape feeling bad. Logan becomes Apathy so he can escape feeling entirely. Roman becomes Pride to protect his bruised ego. And Virgil becomes Paranoia so he no longer has to worry about the other sides not fearing him.
Of course, with everyone changed like this, they no longer have the beautiful fam-ILY that they had before, thus how they got what they wanted, but lost what they had.

I’d like to think that at the end, when the lyrics are saying “Don’t forget it, you’ll regret it.” That, that’s Deceit (Janus) telling them to never forget what they had turned into and telling them that asking him to change them is not the way to solve their problems.

Edit: okay so I saw one or two replies/comments about how it's explained in the description; I just wanna say that these were my interpretations and that over the course of ten months how I see things have changed based on newer content and better understandings of the characters

Roman realized no one would pay attention to him so he turned to the dark sides because they were the only ones who seemed to listen. Patton became afraid to show his sadness for fear of going against his purpose so he lost all control and became two demensional. Logan was afraid of seeming vulnerable by showing emotions because he didn't want to make mistakes so he turned into a robot. Virgil was afraid of being an outcast so he went against his purpose and went insane trying to be someone other people would like. Man thats deep, I love this so much.
Moral of the story pay attention to virgil and roman make. Sure patton is happy and don't force logan to feel
I really love how Orange came up behind Logan at 0:51 and Green (whom we know now is Remus) came to bother the other three. It's like how he bothers Virgil and Patton (and regardless of anything else, brothers bother brothers) yet Logan doesn't get riled up by him.

Edit: its 1 hour later. I was painting and the brushes handles were light blue, dark blue, red, and purple. wELp my paintbrushes also like sanders sides.

Okay, but can we just talk about how good of a story idea this could be? Just hear me out . . .
A group of friends who each represent a personality trait come together as one to defeat an antagonist who also is the embodiment of an emotion (turned up to the max). The are captured by him and are each given a wish. They all wish to become stronger versions of themselves, but all loose their friendship with each other when they become so much stronger in their respective corners but fail to work together. Maybe they even turn tyrannical.
As a result they can no longer fight the villain, who wins for some time. Eventually some or all of them break through and fight back and win.
This could be used to highlight they thin line between good and evil, that too much of a good thing is a bad thing, and that teamwork is key. Plus it could be used to have a "were not so different, you and I" moment, further highlighting the edge between good and evil.

Roman gets turned into pride and remus pretty much and patton becomes a less evil version of janus but still evil none the less and thomas' brain becomes messed up making him crazy thats pretty much and then because virgil has switched sides before he breaks free before the others but pretends he's still paranoia and actually laughs at a joke and the others hear it and slowly get brought back. Alright updated head canon

My theorie is, that Virgil once was paranoia, when he was a dark side.
Maybe that's why Logan stopped his talking in the intrusive thoughts video, when he wanted to say "You are just paranoid"
His paranoia, then turned into anxiety and fears, of every situation, that has an possibly bad outcome for Thomas.
With all his experience he had with the dark sides, he wanted to protect Thomas of those outcomes and when he saw, that the light sides are trying to protect Thomas he wanted to be one of them.
He always wanted to be good when you ask me 🤷

Your English is pretty good actually! I'm also not a native speaker, but I have a very good grade in English, which results of me watching TH-cam only in English, the fact that I am in an English Drama group and also I have this thing, where I pick up very well on languages, when I like them.
But apart from that, everything that helped me was practice. Practice makes perfect!

I also have a theory: of corse, virgil used to be paranorma whilst being a darkside, and everyone (except patton of course cuz pattons.. well..... patton) hated virgul cuz he was evil. But, at first ( like beetween the ages of 0 and 13 for thomas) virgil was anxiety, then deceit and remus turned him to a darkdide cuz virgil was so diffrent from everyone elese still. So they made a deal to make him fit in more, and virgil said yez. So yhen everyone hated him,EXCEPT PATTON!!
Patton exepited him and understood him, so when he came back as a good side at the beginning of the series patton was the only one who partially accepted him, till everyone got used to him again. And remus and deciet came up to try to get virgil to be a darkside again.

My theory is that there is no real difference between a dark side and a side. Only Thomas' perspective on them. Morality, creativity, and logic are rather easy to understand and enjoy. Anxiety, lies and whatever Remus is are not so easy to understand and are usually uncomftable to he doesn't put them at the front of his mind. He wanted to understand anxiety so he slowly learned about him and is willing to enjoy his company

The new side! (This is really long so: WARNING)
In the scene with the soup kitchen in the latest episode, you can see (in orange) his score is 07734 which, on a calculator, is hello upside down. If you look throughout the entire video, there are clues like that all over. With Remus, in the prince saving scene, he made Thomas's score 80085 (boobs on a calculator). With Virgil, he has comments like "poorly spent" under "time" (also in the prince saving scene). It's fascinating, really. Also, in the soup kitchen scene, Thomas has 8 lives. Each life stands for: Thomas, Logan, Patton, Virgil, Roman, Janus, Remus, and the 8th side. The orange side.
AND, notice how the dark side names end with -us? And the light sides -an? In a bts video he explained where he got the names, and it was from mythologies/Greek and Roman stuff. Virgil's name was from a poem. In the poem his full name is Virgilius. It ends with -us, but he's a light side now and goes by Virgil.
I've been looking through mythologies looking for a name that ends with -us that is someone that could possibly be translated over to Sanders sides. Of course, as a new darkside. So far all I've got is Letus. He's the Roman counterpart of Thanatos, and he's the personification of death. Please let me know if YOU find any!

Deceit also hinted at it by saying "so you've never been reluctant to share anything with the group".

The entire Virgil arc in this hits SO different after the revelation that he used to be one of the "dark sides", the very same sides who are now trying to trick him and turn him away from the "light sides".
