Your down-to-earth approach to life is fun and refreshing and I believe that is why you are one of the most popular vloggers on TH-cam today. By the way, I wonder if the Griffith Observatory will be holding a special event for safe viewing of the total solar eclipse on August 21st? Los Angeles will experiencing 60% of the eclipse, however, I think all of the United States will see at least part of this spectacular event!

Garan It's nothing compared to a few decades ago according to a friend who grew up in LA. Plus, before Europeans settled there Indians gave it the name smoky valley because suculants on the hillside give off a mist.
Garan I grew up in LA during the 70s, and there were times when you couldn't see the other side of the playground, just a wall of brown smog. I also remember how we would be prohibited from playing outside during school hours. Thinking back it's amazing we lived that way.
Love the Tesla coil, looks like something from the movie Frankenstein (or Young FrankenSTEEN!) Awww man, that BTTF tree is gone? Something I'll never get to see in person... :-( Also, Rodeo Drive... Have to chuckle at seeing how even the CARS change on that road. Nothing even moderately priced there!
ive been to observatory many times and i never noticed the orbits on the floor! or notice the details of the pendulum, i would take a quick glance, never knew it was a clock lol...thats cool the movie was filmed there, didnt know that...so much you teach me in the places of LA ive always thought i knew
The Observatory is wonderful and has great hours too! The year we met Mr. Woo, 2015 (November), during our Disneyland trip, we stopped at the Griffith Observatory at sunset. It was beautiful, and the facility stayed open until around 9 pm! A great location to visit! Highly recommended!

As a fellow Welshman, I love visiting Griffith J Griffith's Observatory. It's one of the places I visit EVERY time I go to LA, but I've NEVER seen the Tesla Coil operating! You were very lucky. It's quite frustrating to see all the graffiti though; I almost feel like freeze-framing and then following all those vapid Instagram people and telling them what I think of their shameful attempts at fame-whoring. To quote Mr Drumpf, "Sad!".

I should have guessed Argyle wasn't actually gone. He was just in street topiary pig rehab. I guess daily watering and maintenance went away at one point and he started to come apart. Glad to see he was open to recovery instead of requiring an intervention. Thx Adam. Vlog on!

Looking down in that smog is terrible, I live in the hills of West Wales, where the air is crisp and clear. Im thankful for it.
